    I like how you are doing this. The sonotube does look meh so the square boxes clean it up a lot. We just can’t do that here if it’s going to take frost, our frost goes feet down so the ground swells quite a bit. Either the square corners would pop off, which isn’t too big a deal, or the concrete holds really well and the whole tube of concrete comes up however much the ground swells!! I have seen posts move as much as inches upwards before! The frost can be a royal pain here. 😂😂. To support😂 a greenhouse and not get ANY movement you would still use sonotube and go down at least 8 feet. We have had 10 feet of frost even, but that’s extremely rare. If we get lucky enough to get to bedrock, it’s a sweet deal! Our cabins footings are pinned into concrete. The real cabin was on cedar posts that were cut about 100 years ago and they were too rotten to use any further. They DID last about 100 years! Now the home sits on new pillars drilled into the bedrock about 4 ft down and then on sonotube to the surface then 12x12 pressure treated. It’s gonna stand at least 100 more years. Levelling the floor in that cabin destroyed the chinking mind you. The new cabin has a walk out basement so it was blasted into place! They cut the basement out of the limestone granite mix there. That cabin will never move!! 😂😂. Like I say, bedrock is easy when in frost country. I’m thinking this is gonna be the Taj Mahal of gardens,,, the Garden Mahal!!! 😊😊 I thought it was great how Tank supervised and even showed you how to operate the skid steer!!😊

    Hey!! Tedious job, but I bet it’s rewarding as well!! You sure show that you are pleased with things! I was thinking of your back so much when you were moving The AC unit there. Groan!!! 😊. I just had my annual nerve ablations and they took really quick so I’m feeling TOO good! I still can damage my back, quite bad even, as it treats a symptom. All the surgeries possible are done! The back is sturdy, my core is tight (61 with a solid 6 pack) and the rest is up to nature, and nerve ablations. I don’t need any medication for the back once they do them! It can get tired still, which if the nerves were alive, would likely be pain! 😂😂. I use that as my judgement as to when to stop!! Once the roof is fully sealed it’s on for the interior if anything is needed as that is fully secured from the elements! That GPS was probably pretty cool initially!! 😂😂. What a hokey set up, but, if someone can get it fixed up, it’s you! 😊 Looking very good indeed!! Eh! Later!

    Not really up on them but my understanding is that a ground plane is different than a ground and depends on area rather than a direct contact with the battery. The GPS already has a negative lead for power this would be a ground for signal? As I understand it, Maybe I am all wet and they were just looking to spread the load in an ugly way!! Ran into similar stuff with Single Sideband long range radio on boats and ships back in the day. Got kinda complicated and I have forgotten more than a bit.

    If your roof is entirely fiberglass, build a fiberglass mount that matches the current openong and reduces down to the size of the new moon roof. That way you know that the holes will match up. You certainly have enough experience to fiber-cate that new panel now.

    Came for the $10 boat, stayed because of all the cool stuff you do, especially the shop and tractor/excavator work. Legitimate question, is this a time of year you wouldn't be using bus? Know there was some stuff that had to be done, but couldn't some of have waited or been past on when you were done with it and enjoy it now? Know you wouldn't want to give anyone a mess to deal with, but life's short, go camping!

    1st of all I have never welded and it is one skill I have always had a desire to have. Now that being said there are so many of these low dollar Chinese welders out there right now, and honestly they are likely coming out of the same factory just with different color paint, that it's becoming welding for the masses. And that could be a great thing. The modern electronics takes a great deal of the skill required out of the equation. I spent may years in the xray business and a lot of that is knowing what the adjustments of voltage and current and time do in terms of the image you get. So have fun with it. It didn't cost you anything so take that to the bank. Thanks for doing the honest thing for the nimrods of us out there!

    Boss man, absolutely love your videos. You’re very meticulous about your equipment and keep it really clean that’s inspiring. I am wondering why are we four months behind if it’s just a Super Bowl time

      Thanks, so yeah I video all the time but then it has to be edited etc… I edit one video a week sometimes I barely have enough material other times I have tons to get out… I usually try to keep 1 to 2 months of footage in the “bank” though.. that way when life gets in the way the channel is uneffected.

    Wow!! Absolutely a job I wouldn’t tackle myself! Just not enough confidence to get into all of the technicalities. Right at the beginning when you realized it wasn’t gonna be quite what you expected with the extra zone,,,. THAT’s when I would be asking my wife for a ride home from the RV repair shop!! Take everything I have & just drop it off!! Say “have at it” and wait for the bill!! 😂😂😂. The units with the heat pump are nice if you have a generator & or are able to hook up to power often. The great benefit of having a nice (really nice) Class A motorhome!! I was definitely surprised by the cost! Ouch! Thing is, they will last you a very long time! Thanks for sharing, Eh!!

      Hey Brother, yeah it was a big job but I like a brain challenge on occasion (only on occasion, lol!) yeah they are expensive but like you said we hope to get 20 years worth out of them! Have a great week! Is it warm up there yet?

    • @shitloveaduck
      @shitloveaduck 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@shotslife - it’s getting warmer. Looks like a pretty cool spring though. We have only had maybe a dozen days over 70 so far. Just barely over 70. It’s a typical pattern we get after a year or 2 of drought. Not in the clear yet, but a great start to the moisture. Our reservoirs didn’t all get to 100% full this year yet. They will get there, but lower than normal snowpack means they won’t be staying there. This is a little older video, it looks like. People forget how old your motorhome really is because it’s so darn nice!! Me included. That’s the thing with a high quality unit vs the smaller, less expensive, gas jobs like you were storing. Those are built more like travel trailers inside and they don’t hold up quite as well, generally. I hope spring has treated you much better over there!! What’s next??? Doesn’t matter, see ya next week regardless!! Haha.

    Hey senior. Nice work getting it done and the General helping with the power wash. But then what are Generals really for? slow and steady wins the race and keeps you from having to buy another one because you weren't paying attention to details. BTW, I pulled the plug 1 May and I'm fully retired. Going to do some minor house refurbs then it's on the Goldwing and off to the adventures. The modern Mr Rodgers is To infinity and beyond!
