How To Prepare Mixed Gas and Oil for 2-Stroke Engines - Foolproof Setup
Sharing my setup for preparing 2-cycle gas and oil mix.
I use this for chainsaws, trimmers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, etc.
Links to items I use in this video:
- No-Spill gas can 1.25 gallon: amzn.to/4dvwn2T
- Royal Purple 2 cycle oil: amzn.to/4cdhT6q
- 6 pack of 2.6oz oil: amzn.to/3SzIt2P
- Husqvarna Leaf Blower: amzn.to/4dqsHiB
(this is an entry-level model, but I've found it to be extremely reliable and easy to use).

Thanks, my Gator isn’t exactly the same but it gave me the steps and the John Deere way of thinking.
Not fake. Just older. Only the newer ones do it.
I have 2 of the fake ones. They work pretty well.
It worked! Thank you!! Mines a 2005.
Not all of them show the code option, from 2015 to 2022 I guess, that option doesn't work The better way you can see, is the red holder, on the fakes looks shiny, and when you see the bottom for the serial number, the fake one is not printed, is made by a laser, so doesn't have texture
Thank you so much! Worked like a charm
That's great! Thank you for taking the time to leave me a note. Take care!
How much fake battery?
Wow
Great information to know. Just tried all my batteries out and half of them were fake. I purchased them off of eBay and they were in genuine Milwaukee packages. You would think that Milwaukee would put a stop to this unless they are getting from them also.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's really annoying to spend your money on something that turns out to be fake. I think Ebay actually deserves a lot of the blame. I did reach out to ebay and spoke with someone on their team and there were unwilling to do anything about flagging and removing the seller from their platform (they had hundreds of sold batteries). Amazon is a bit better in this regard.
Awesome!! Thank you 👍
You can't really tell that way. You have to look at the date because some real between certain dates will not flash.
I have older xc 5.0 batteries that don't newer ones do and my new HO 6.0 ones do. Bought the HO 6.0 ones on Amazon.
I wonder why Milwaukee decided to disable this feature in certain years. It looks like a handy thing to have.
I stoppped at a pawn shop the other day looking to see what they had and I saw a brand new sealed pack of 2 5amp m18 batteries the guy said he would take a 100 for them I bought them and was thinking no way they are real cause they sell for 250 at Home Depot to my surprise they are real he had 2 more packs so I went back and grabbbed them too
Wow - good score on those M18s! I hope they serve you well!
Brilliant! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
All made in china, can't be good quality, slant eyes can't see what they are doing.. working for commie benefits...Geee.
I followed your directions to a tee and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the video. The tank now receives air very quickly and is no longer a pain to fill. Replaced the bicycle-type tire valve connector with a normal air chuck therefore is much better as well. Previously had to wrestle with it somewhat to attach to the tire valve.
Sweeeet! I'm glad everything worked out! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and let me know. Made my day. Have a good one!
I should watch this before, Now I lost rear wheel axle key
You should put some Teflon tape on the pvc thread and then a little pipe dope.
@@darosa5741 thank you for the tip! I assumed that having the dope by itself is enough and didn't want to deal with the extra hassle.
😂 I ain't about to try that
Just a tip for those with the 2020 cp2.0 batteries ( the only other ones i own) this doesnt do anything when you hold the button, it has only worked on the newer batteries like my cp3.0 and newer ones and ALL of my batteries are genuine right from the dealer ❤
@bernhard8540 - thank you for pointing this out! I was excited to find an *easy* way to check for authenticity -- it sucks that it doesn't work 100% of the time. For now at least, the fraudsters haven't caught up with this feature.
There are even worse now, instead of several li-ion cells they only have 1 or 2, and bunch of electronics to raise the voltage.
@aleksandarl6975 - wow. This actually is starting to sound scary. Lithium cells are more prone to starting a fire, so we gotta tread lightly.
@@EagleNestFarm I ran across strangely lightweight Makita 12v Li-ion, it looked fake right away, very lightweight, collor a bit off, and the letering not quite right. It was very cheap so i bought it to check. When i took it apart it only had 1 pouch li-po cell inside, i guess high discharge current one, like used in chinese drones, and a circuit board that was both the BMS and raised output to 12v. The drill ran fine, but the battery was not even close to advertised capacity and got empty way faster then the 1yr old original one i had, wich was marked at about half of capacity of the fake one. Electronics inside was poorly made, flux residue everywhere, wires soldered like someone who had seen soldering iron for the 1st time in their life did it. Very unsafe, and was heating up quite a bit when charging.
@aleksandarl6975 - my goodness... It's good that you got some entertainment value out of that piece of junk, at least. And you knew exactly what you were looking at and how to handle it. But I feel bad for all the folks who are clueless to this and take things at face value.
@@EagleNestFarmFor only about 15$ It was a nice weekend fun to check out and mesure what it realy was that fraudsters came uo with, and i spent 2 days wondering how on earth is it worth to anyone to design and produce bunch of electronics just so that they can put 1 instead of 3 cells inside. They went trough all the trouble of making a case and everything, why not put normal batteries inside and sell it under their own brand as a cheaper replacement is beyod me. I can only hope that someone taking it at face value doesn't cause harm or damage by one of those clearly fraudelent batteries, and that only money lost for buying that junk accounts for all the damage.
@aleksandarl6975 - Yeep. 100% agree with you!
I dont buy stuff like that from online, its 99% chance its fake❤ there are certain things I wont buy online❤
@bernhard8540 - yep, you're right about this one!
You can also just see the difference in the lettering. The real battery’s lettering on the side is much closer to the border than the fake
@SnailHatan - naaah man, the fakers have gotten pretty good at printing by now 😕 ... You might get some visual cues if you have a fake side-by-side with a genuine, but if you only have a fake battery nothing stands out as obviously wrong.
I was wondering cause you can not preform this test until after you have purchased it ...... Thank you

Fake batteries getting a software update soon
Ha. Seriously.
Just so you know, real genuine Milwaukee batteries will not always do that. Only certain generations of those batteries. I dont remember the years but mine dont do that and mine are genuine, got them from home depot.
Thank you so much for this note! You're 100% correct! I geeked out a bit more on this and found a more detailed video and pinned it above. It's weird that they didn't keep this diagnostic mode across all generations.
@@EagleNestFarm ya, i wish they did
Came here to say this. I wonder if country matters as well
@@MechanicalMercenary not sure, i don't think so though, just generation
Thats cool just tried it unfortunately i do not have a fake to try but the real one did then wouldn't stop lol had to put it back in my sander turn it on but it could just be the fact they get used a lot it was a 4 year old battery lol
That's funny :) They will eventually stop blinking, but it may seem a bit disconcerting how long it goes on...
@EagleNestFarm imagine if it blinks so long that the battery needs to be recharged.
@@glen3925 lol
🤣
The red on the fake battery is too vibrant too
Yep! Good observation. I notice that too, but only when side by side with a genuine battery.

It's milwaukee problem. Why they let sale Fake product and do nothing with this?
Fake is too shiny
Hold down the button and see if the LEDs start to flash. The flashes on the genuine batteries are supposed to give a code of how many times the battery was charged.
Key word in the opening description is "Chinese" bearing..... Junk
Yeahhh, low quality parts in general. It's really frustrating when the brand new part you're installing ends up with a shorter lifespan than the worn out one you're taking out... 😖
at least if u are hammering it in use some wood plank above the ring or something else so the force is distributed evenly
Does nobody know what a deadblow hammer is? A deadblow and a socket is the perfect combination if you don't have a press of some kind.
@@Metal-Possum yeap thats an option if the bearing is small if u go a bearing the size of your head i dont think that will work brother me and my father own an olive oil factory we change all the bearings each season and trust this one on the video is small af
@Metal-Possum - I agree with you! A dead blow hammer and a socket work great. I don't have one in my workshop though, and I also don't have a 3 inch socket. This setup is what I use to get around that. Works well enough for me. Thanks for the note and take care!
@skidbot - wow - sounds like you're working with some big machines! That's really cool. It's interesting to learn about the people who end up watching my videos. Thank you for leaving a comment and take care!
40 dollars? Jesus christ.
@BorisBirkenbaum - yes, this is an expensive cut of meat... One package is enough to make ~8 trays of jerky though. So it does last a while.
where are you located?
@knicks252525 - I'm based in northern California. We're getting around 600 chill hours out here.
That’s why I always carry a scale with me when I buy batteries
That's awesome! I always wanted to know how to tell the difference. Btw.. the word 'genuine'.. you pronounce it as in gen-u-wine but it's actually gen-u-win :) just some feedback that's all.
I'm glad it was helpful to you. And thank you so much for the feedback -- now I know!
You are probably grammatically correct, however many people say it either way. Same thing as po-tate-o and po-tot-o, or to-may-to and to-ma-to. One is correct and one is not, but people with different dialects pronounce it differently so it's right to them and that's ok
@@nategrossman3006true true, I just wanted to point it out just to be helpful. I’ve just never heard anyone pronounce that word the way he did because.. The way how he pronounced it is actually how you would call the singer and artist Ginuwine, an American singer popular back in the 2000’s. 😊

You can tell without opening them. The fake ones usually have 2 normal screws and 2 torx, the real milwaukee uses all security torx
It turns out that this particular fake had all torx. Really, really hard to distinguish visually.
@EagleNestFarm security ones with the pin in the middle though? I've seen fakes ones with normal torx but not security ones
