I don't want to dispute what you both say and love your podcast but you are both wrong look it up in the Olympic rules when awarding medals and a photo finish develops the rules say that the race and winner is determined in the 100th second not 1000th seconds. So in actual fact the 100th second puts Kishane and Noah as 9.79 and both should've received a gold medal look back in the 2008 olympics when degrasse and Trevon bromell both were awarded the bronze medal with the time of both was rounded off to the 100th second not 1000th.

In my opinion whatever caused the delay in starting the 100m men's disadvantaged Tebogo and Thompson. Tebogo also lost 21 days after his mum died. After seeing him practice here in Botswana we thought he would get silver to Thompson but my hat's off to Lyles. It will be interesting to see Tebogo & Thompson in the Diamond League. Really wish you guys had been there to see the reception live here in Gaborone.

I disagree with KT going 9.6s high/9.7s low had he stayed relaxed. At 60m KT split 6.40s in Paris. Nobody is going 9.6s while splitting 6.40s. I mean, we can do the math and say that Usain Bolt could have (6.40+3.27=9.67s) but only Bolt has ever gone sub 3.3s from 60...100m. Regardless, in all of Bolt's sub 9.7s performances he always split 6.3s low, namely 6.31s in his 9.58s and 6.32s in his 9.63/9.69s. Tyson Gay split 6.36s in his 9.69s. Yohan Blake split 6.33s in his 9.69s. So, 6.40s just no. KT could have maybe ran 6.40+3.37=9.77s if he had stayed relaxed throughout.
