Also I just saw on GitHub I have to install Homebrew with the KCC for Mac. I’m not familiar with it?
Can I choose the manga caliber option if I want it to be sent to the caliber program? Or should I have it converted to a epub file instead? I’m planning on transferring it to my Kobo.
Very helpful, thanks so much! Do you plan on making a tutorial on how to upload the covers too?
Unfortunately, I don't beleive there is a way to do this, at least for kindle, since it uses a proprietary format
This was awesome! Thanks a bunch for the helpful guide. Worked flawlessly for me.
At 3:25 Enable Publish xxx . I cannot find that on my screen. Where / how did you get that selection I see on the video??
Where did you get all of those anime from
can someone tell me how to do this properly??
can even host it on Cloudflare pages for free
Gracias amigo Very good Saludos
Does not work on version 10.9.2 Edit: Switched to jumoog/intro-skipper, a fork of ConfusedPolarBeard, which works on latest version of Jellyfin
Hey nice video, I am new to the Home server things and I am definitely going to follow this tutorial. One simple request that I have is there is no video explaining how to setup jellyscrub on jellyfin, I really tried following the steps I found online but unfortunately didn't manage to work with me, so if you could do a video explaining it that would be helpful.
Noted
Hi it works on apple TV and android TV same on mobile there will be this interface or that of jellyfin directly?
No, there's no native apple TV app, you would have to open it in a browser on apple TV or use jellyfins native app
Remember the development is not going to continue and intro skipper won't work any more in the latest version of JF. 10.9.x All the forks are just forks
Any other workhng method for JF 10.9?
Is there any plugin to watch online movies free with this, like fmovies, or classics that are not copyrighted any more from certain websites, maybe a work around to stream online links/content as well Using the jellyfin server to send / cast that content to any client , phone or whatever?
Not that I'm aware of, since jellyfin fundamentally works by streaming content from your harddrive/nas to your devices. But if you haven't yet, you might wanna do a little research on "the arr's" and a vpn on reddit for example
@@LeoLabTech Thanks

Hey, great video! Unfortunately, I didn't manage to make this work. I'm guessing it's because I don't use local storage but instead a rclone mount. Do you have any suggestions to solve the problem?
Hey, no not rly :(. Maybe try and test it using local storage to see whether or not this is rly the issue
Hi... long shot but any chance you help to fix folder write access .. Jellyfin, Truenas. Let me know. Cheers
Not really. But if you haven't yet look into making sure the uid and gid of ur user match those of your nfs share
What site do you use for obtaining manga? Any specific places?
Rumor has it, reddit would be the best place to get those answers
@@LeoLabTechthanks forgot where I was for a minute. If you happen to have a link to the forum that would be ideal thanks
Type in "mangap" under communities and see what reddit suggests 😉
It looks good but I haven't touched the docker compose file and am scared off by it.
No need to be. Its very easy to learn and understand. just watch and introductory video on docker and youll see why its such a popular option for this sort of thing
That my friend was a good intro I've seen this jellyfin recently one time and forgot to save the clip still don't fully understand from this intro what exactly it does I got an idea but don't want to sound like a dummy and don't wanna put it up here until I really understand. The other guy that put one up and started out with first showing off the unit that he got for free I guess, that must be nice, but it was a badass computer, serving up as well and he was using an Asus with 4:20 TB drives loaded on the front portion of the system you can physically pull out and insert which was a good component so you don't have to open it up and do it the old way. But I fell in love with that unit because I'm still working on my 5-year-old del it's still handles large processing and RAM heavy programs that I fell in love with that thing when I saw it with much envy,! Currently I am broke going through a hard part of life due to the theft (that's what dying does to you , I had a massive seizure in July 2021 that's why I say that cuz I was clinically dead- hard to make money, ) if I can make one suggestion to do a little bit more of explaining exactly what it does on the first video that I'm watching here. T. aka: crypt_o
Hey :) Looks like youre new to the self hosted space. If you want to learn what jellyfin is, i recommend you search a beginners guide here on youtube. The channel "TechHut" made a really good guide a few years back
it is nice but is unstable.... i just change my jelifin skin ... and it is ok now.

Can’t believe I had to use unicode to type this harmless comment because TH-cam keep deleting it. This platform is getting worse, every single day.
It was working fine on my old laptop but on my new laptop kcc is unable to detect kindle previewer i have tried everything man but it does not work
You could look into downloading the Kindlegen binary from archive.org or similar and then try to use the command line instead of the gui.
Really like nerds like this guy! go do the ducker container! supporting you thoughts without prayers
Is this still doable without using docker ? Just on a plain old windows setup ? Will the polar bear repository address still work as standard ?
It should be possible yes. The steps are basically the same except that u have to overwrite jellyfin web interface (it's going to be in a folder on yur Filesystem) with the new web interface
why file can changes for change css ? for button skip
Yes, that requires the default css to be overwritten
The need for reverse proxy is when using the hosted instance, not the Docker container
Good to know thx
@ferferga I reverse proxy for Jellyfin docker?
As soon as you said reverse proxy I turned off the video
because?
Bruh wut
this is useless
Tell me you don't use docker without telling me.

Jellyfin, and Plex.. The normies media server solution for people who know nothing.
Care to shed some light on what you use for us normies?
it will probably say netflix 😅
@a.akacic - I'm curious. ... What do you use for streaming your own personal media ?
Enlighten us. Then I will know something.
Can I save a video on my mobile device to play while offline yet? Because that’s STILL a deal breaker.
No :(, In that case youre better off using the default webui or one of the android clients
Plex does it
@@mrbuckwheet Only if you pay.
to be honest, the original jelly-web looks way much better in design and both performance
Good thing is, you don't have to choose. Some people prefer the original, some like this one more.
it was `asozialer Marrokaner` for me
hi, loved this and the skip intro video, think you will make more guides about install of jellyfin, sonarr, qbittorrent etc ? struggle like hell to make vpn work with qbittorrent
Unfortunately, youtube doesn't like the arr's too much. But Ill make a video at some point for putting any container behind a vpn. Glad you like some of the channels content
It would have been a good idea to mention the "Native" instructions available for the modified web interface. I run my Jellyfin on windows server (yes, I know, I would get more out of Linux) and I got stuck for a bit trying to figure out what to do for my case. Thankfully I RTFM and found the native instructions! Cheers for this.
Good point
Thanks for the tutorial. Does this also work on Android TV client (skip intro button)?
Hey unfortunately this won't work on Jellyfins Android TV App, since the skip button is reliant on the modified webui. You Could however set it to autoskip (as discussed at the end of the video). The findroid app also supports this plugin. So you could also try installing findroid on your Android TV using a third party App Store. Although i dont know how well Android TV would handle it, it might be worth a try though.
You could also try using a Browser to access the Webui. In that case you should definitely see the skip button. Although that obviously has some major downsides compared to using the native app
How can I make Jellyfin able to play content on TV (play it on the device) without installing the client on TV? my jellyfin can't see my TV
Depends on your TV. Most have a browser that can be used to access the Webui. just type in <server-ip>:<port> and you should be presented with jellyfins webui. Obviously you need to be on the same network
@@LeoLabTechBad idea. Very uncomfortable.
You cannot. You need something to 'read' the server.. An app or webpage Imagine your jellyfin server content is the same as TH-cam server content How do you access TH-cam content? A website or app is needed.
@@jjmmjj9999 DLNA does not require an application or the web, it is enough that the TV and the server support it
thanks for the tutorial, deserves a great thumps up :D
Glad you found it helpful 👍
