      Thanks very much for your comment. You are right, at the beginning my editing skills were very poor and I only recorded the slow playing without any further help. The latest versions are hopefully more helpful and I always think about how to improve the video tutorials. I try to find a way to add a pedal marking, but I am still not sure how to do it, because the use of the pedal is quite different from slowly playing and normal speed. Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you need a certain classical piano piece. All the best for you! I am glad you are here!

      @@user-fr4sv1hl7y Basically I am talking about that it is very important to know the chords on the piano. And also the scale up to four accidentals. The cadences on the piano up to four accidentals are also extremely important and help you to move forward if you stagnate. I also talk about practicing, which is important to avoid at the beginning as much as possible. This is extremely important if every wrong note is deeply engraved in your brain. Wow, thanks - my teacher always told me I should read, not guess, and there are one or two bits I've been doing wrong! I was amazed to see/hear the C natural at bar 24. I wonder if there's a consensus about which Bach intended. I now need to find this with the C natural at performance tempo, although I can't see it turning me on. This slow tempo will be very useful for beginners, but, if you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism, I would consider being a little more consistent with the trills - some you miss entirely, others you do quite differently from how they're written - and maybe they ought to be slower, in keeping with the slower tempo.

      Thank you very much for your message and your comment. This Bach Marcello is one of the older recordings I've made on this channel. And when I look back at the videos I've made, I always think that it could be done even better. I remember having a music edition back then that was not always quite correct, especially with the ornaments. I really appreciate your constructive and kind criticism. The trills are really not quite ideal - admittedly 😉. That's why I decided to re-record the whole piece and listen to some of the recordings and compare the execution of the trills. The thrillers are often done in different ways, except maybe the murder one, and somehow I have to decide on a good and justifiable version. I never thought that this would be one of the videos that people would watch the most. Another reason to go back over the books and re-record the whole thing. Thank you very much for your input. It taught me a lot again. I will also play the whole piece in tempo, but I have to expect that there will be another copyright reference. See you soon and best regards

    Great tutorial as always...After,it's a just a matter of practice and time....Browsing through your playlist,I didn't find Chopin's Etude n3 ,named "Tristesse" or Chanson de l'Adieu...Chopin described it as his most beautiful melody.... A tutorial of the 1st part of that piece would be great...The central part is way way way too difficult....

    • @pianocheckpoint
      @pianocheckpoint 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks very much for your comment! Chopin’s Etude No 3 is one of my favorite pieces and I will record it very soon. I am not sure if I should make two separate videos, one with the first part only and one with the whole piece. Let me know your opinion!

    • @denyshenriquez-ohme7373
      @denyshenriquez-ohme7373 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@pianocheckpoint Yes,2 separate videos would be better....The 1st part is approachable for an intermediate pianist(I'm about grade 5),but the central part is really very demanding,and technically at a very high level(rated 10 or more by many scales)....Most of the tutorials on the web don't bother with that central part and stick to the 1st part....But maybe some upper grade learners would be grateful if you include the central part of the piece..As to me I'm awaiting your tutorial on Beethoven's Sonata n7 3rd movement,the Menuetto....

      @@denyshenriquez-ohme7373 thanks for your reply. I will definitely record the Beethoven, next Friday is time for the minuet and I have already been working on it. The Chopin is also on my list. Before that I need to finish an easier Dovernoy, the Handel Passacaglia and the remix of the Bach-Marcello. I used a score with minor mistakes and they are corrected in the upcoming 2nd version. Some ornaments are missing or not correct. So, the work never stops but it is still fun.

      @@pianocheckpoint OK,the program seems appetizing...Never heard of Dovernoy,unless it's Duvernoy?...As to the Handel/Halvorsen Passacaglia,there are many tutorials...Beautiful piece,I learned it on a slightly simplfied version: the left hand only plays 2 notes instead of 4,on the strong beats of the bar...It sounds just about the same as the original,but easier to perform... The Bach/Marcello adagio is beautiful,but seems endless...

    Very good tutorial indeed,and efficient....I learned this piece some years ago,but it's a pleasure to see how you smoothly play it...I remember struggling a bit with the grupettos,and I watched in very slow motion how you insert them..As to the fingering,I also have my own,and I don't always abide by the score......Anyway,your tutorial made me want to rework this piece... I'll go through your playlist to find some other tutorials

      @pianocheckpoint หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much for your message. I wouldn't have thought that my videos could influence someone's practicing. Of course I am very pleased. I also sometimes use different fingerings for the same passages in my videos. What is written in the sheet music simply does not fit every hand. This is an important element when playing the piano. Every hand is different and needs a different fingering. There are certain rules that have been established for fingering, but everyone still has a lot of leeway on one side or the other. I am very happy if you browse through the various videos, you can also let me know if you need a specific piece.

      @@pianocheckpoint Thanks for your answer...Since you ask me if I'm interested in a specific piece,in fact there is Beethoven's Sonata n°7(opus 10),in the 3rd movement,the "Menuetto"(allegro)....The score of the intro,the main theme, doesn't look difficult,but when I play,I can't make it sound like the original... The rest of the piece is very nice also,but technically more difficult,and why bother if I can't master the intro? Curiously,I haven't found a single tutorial on that piece...Lot's of demos,from various top pianists like Barenboim,Tiffany Poon,Alan Chan,and some others...Also synthesias,but without the score,it's not exploitable....So now,you've got a new challenge!!!!...
