Unlock the Secret to Boosting Pepper and Tomato Germination
I’ve got germination, what kind of fertilizer do you suggest?
I use a liquid fertilizer that mixes with water. Any brand works well for flowers. Start light then increase as they get older. Thanks for watching
man thats alot of tomatoes, i cant wait until 2025
@@bbhong-v5i won’t be long till we start the seed for 2025.
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery we need a countdown clock lol, im super excited, i just have to figure is it worth doing the tomatoe tone, and or tomatoe tone with migrale grow because i had problems with the end rot and the mater majic last year was the best ive done
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery when do you start? i got some mater majic 4 containers worth so i guess i have to wait until i try tomatoe tone lol
I start with tomato’s in mid February.
In fertilize use smart grower. They have 2 different fertilizer that you can mix. I have used it for over a year now. Also use compost. If you don’t compost you need to start.
Yup, got them all over the place here.
Me too. Thanks for watching
It’s a spider orange 😊
I have heard it called that. It called something different depending on where you are at in the country
how often do you water them like that?
Just when they start to dry out. In the winter it maybe 2 weeks or so I will water.
I appreciate this! Dumbed it down for me
My mantra is “If it grows in the garden, it goes in the garden.” Put everything you grow into your compost and let it contribute to your soil for future harvests. Great tips here!
Love it. And I agree 100%.
nice video 👍
I had a neighbor give me five large trash bags of leaves I tilt it into my garden my garden turned out great that year and ever since he gives me leaves
Awesome. Best free material for your garden. Thanks for watching
Thank you so much for posting how you harvest your turnip greens. I assume you just leave them alone after your cut them and they will grow back?
Yes. They will grow back and you can cut again several times. Cut and come again. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the tips 👍
Thanks for watching!
Blight can't live on dead plants... but Yh I know what you mean
True. But I battle is do bad I don’t take chances. Thanks for watching
Good advice
Thank you and thanks for watching
I'm working on these things now. I use saw chips (smaller than chips but not quite saw dust) and coffee bags on my paths. I like that saying "If you grow it you know it" My saying lately is "Grow what you eat and eat what you grow" Thank you for the reminders!!!
Awesome. I love using wood chip. Changed my garden. Thanks for watching
Morning. TH-cam just sent you're channel. I heard North Al, and I just had to check you out. Nice information for sure. We're in Park City, TN. so close to you. Thanks Dave
North west corner of Alabama you are north of Huntsville We are about and hour apart Thanks for watching
I'm so excited to start growing my own. My daughter moved in a few few months and wanted to plant broccoli or something like it. They came up and leaves were so damned beautiful, I picked them and made greens and that blew everyone's mind. I can't wait to get more fresh greens going here in the garden.
That is awesome. Nothing better than growing your own fresh food.
Do you have a video showing how you actually harvest the turnip greens?
Not but I will be glad to make one. Give me a feed days. Thanks for watching
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery Love your videos. I was also wanting to see how it look after you harvest some of them that suppose to grow back after you cut them if thats not too much trouble.
No problem. I need to pick some will be glad to do a video on it
What about figs? I’m in zone 9A and have some 1 years old trees I grew from cuttings. Is it safe to plant them now?
Yes. I have some ordered that will be here next week and I’m planting them. I’m in zone 8a Thanks for watching
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery great! Thank you! I’ll be looking for some Concord grapes and Asian Pears as well. My favorites are mulberry, fig, grapes and Asian Pears. Your video covered two of my four favorites. Apples for this zone are limited and hard to grow with the heat and humidity here but I might try a couple of the new large Crabapple varieties I’ve been seeing for vinegar making. Cheers!
If you can’t find apples pick other fruit trees you like.
Thank you for such practical and wise advice!
Thank you and thanks for watching
Glad I seen this. Was wondering what was happening to my tomatoes. Thank you!
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching
This is awesome! Good way of saving money fill them up. Thank you!
It’s the most cost effective way to fill them. Thanks for watching

Sweet potato pie is great

Starting seeds in December?
Petunia seeds I start December 1st. They will be in full bloom week before Mother’s Day. Thanks for watching
I'm going to get that hoe I've got one but not like that
Totally love that greenish tinge of the colour, haven’t seen it before
I have several doing that. Might be cause we in a drought and had not for 2 months. Thanks for watching
The seeds you called 'zinnia seeds' look like marigold seeds.
They may be I had 3 videos going at the same time
I had picked a lot of seed pods that day. You still save the seeds the same way
A pew pew works pretty well too!😂😂
They will not come back 😂
Good old fashion planting!
The best kind Thanks for watching
What type of plant was in this video?
@@ripmad hydrangea macrophlla the blue or pink
I use this in my greenhouse with plugs. Its wonderful!
I am a fan. Just started it this year as a test but will be using it from now on Thanks for watching
Pot growers have been using this for years. Get "plant grade" molasses to help the micorhizzae and ground biology bloom
Terrific suggestions. Thank you.
Thank you. Thanks for watching
I agree with marigolds.. highly underrated flowers in the garden! They are absolute work horses!
What kind of fertilizer is right for blooming? High Phosphorus?
Yes. Phosphorus promotes blooms.
@@TADAGreenhouseandNursery Thanks!
Thank you!! I’ll try this next year. Texas 9a.
Thanks for watching
Try them from a different supplier. I started with the exact ones you had, Baker Creek, and got the same results. Switched to a different supplier with a certified germination tag on the seed bag and have had 90 to 95% germ. You're definitely doing it right on your end.
Thank you. I will look for a different supplier
I cannot get this sugar daddy variety of dwarf snap pea to grow well for me here in Michigan zone 6A. I tried growing it indoors over the winter The plants were lethargic & got sickly right as they were ready to start producing pods, so I pulled them out. Then back in early spring I sowed 12 seeds in a 17 gallon bucket & only 3 germinated, one died off right away leaving only 2. Today I harvested my 1st pod & it was just so so. My other pea varieties at the same time grew huge, & set a lot of pods on them. Peas are a crop we can easily have good success with here, so I don't know if it comes down to the source of the seed or the variety. I only bought the seeds to begin with because I was curious to see if there was a dwarf snap pea that is even more productive & tasty than the sugar Ann has been for us. The sugar Ann grows vigorously, flowers weeks before the sugar daddy, & the pods are sweeter. I plan to sow all of the sugar daddy seeds I have left for fall & won't be looking to grow it again. Then this coming winter I plan to grow some of the sugar Ann peas & save seeds.
😍😍😍😍
Good video 👍
Good video 👍
So we just smack it around a little bit? Cool. I have a tree that won’t wake up.
Yeah I doubt it works. Some plants just need more time. My 5 varietal graft pear won't wake up. I pulled it out of the soil and see that its root had been very aggressively cut back. 3 or so half inch roots chopped off. So I have cut the stems way back so there is less trunk to wake up. I had planted it in its wood chips and paper wrap so did not notice before this problem.
Awesome video thank you so much ❤
Thank you for watching
Good short
Monterey BT and fertilizer every 7 to 10 days and yes water. Also buy Proven Winners petunias 😂 they’re the best hands down.
I start my petunias for seeds
molehills are a great source of soil for free also.
👍
great video really helped me out
