    I know you Brits dont get a ton of sunshine like over here in the States, but how is the brightness/glare etc? I'm told a few blokes can't use their Galaxy Active 3 tablets as it's unreadable/unuseable in the sunshine so they went with different GPS solutions all together.

    How is the vibration with that Ram mount? I'm thinking, regarding my Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro, how exactly to mount it, above the current TFT, in a way to not have to remove the windshield and not have it bounce around to much...direct mount to a cross bar used to raise and lower the windshield etc.....

    8gb ram VS 4gb ram is a very big difference… and software management for Cooling the batterycharge which the carpe iter has and Samsung not , big battery , very good gps 5 times a second… brightness of 1000nits , i think the Samsung has not… Maybe 600 so future wise i think you need two tablets against one carpe iter in the years you will own it.

    You've no idea how happy I was to find this was UK content! So rare on TH-cam in the LSA space. I fly a TL Ultralight model (also Czech - I think!) that is similar, with 100hp. Not my own aircraft! It has a 2 axis autopilot (TruTrak). I much prefer LSAs, flying at 100-110 knots true, than flying C150s and C152s. For the budget-minded aircraft owner, I believe LSAs and ultralights are the future. What with a brand new Cessna 172 (with a Garmin G1000 unit whether you need it or not!... it's all they sell a 172 with these days) costing £450,000 !! Is that Kidlington you're located at? Great content and lovely SportsCruiser.

    • @FitBones
      @FitBones 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, Thanks for the comments. I fully understand the appreciation of UK content, there is not so much about. I am based at Turweston near Silverstone race track. I did my night rating at Kidlington so know it well. Flying is a bit different in the UK for several reasons. Firstly, our airspace is so much more congested that the US or Canada and also flying in the south of the country there are many restricted as well as danger zones so. Secondly, being so close to Europe flying across to France, Spain, Germany and Scandinavia is very doable. However, if you train in a non certified aircraft and restrict yourself to a LSA (LAPL in UK) licence you are unable to fly into Europe in a certified aircraft, so your flying experience can be limited. Very few people in the UK buy a Cessna or Piper new on their own. I currently also have a share in a Robin DR 400 here is a link to the renovation we did. Our group is 12 so costs are kept quite low. th-cam.com/video/HKK0N0NvUlI/w-d-xo.html The sportsCruiser is a great plane but is enhanced with an autopilot to manage it's sensitive pitch.

    It's been a couple months now since I've bought this tablet and it is great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The tablet is responsive and runs well. There were a few times that the tablet did an awkward thing where it would detect pen on at all times and wouldn't register finger press, but it is usually fixed by closing and opening either the screen or app. This is highly likely due to my excessive use for drawing which caused this and wasn't really very big. As I mostly enjoy using the tablet for drawing (and some light gaming), I would comment from that aspect that there is definitely more accurate pressure and drawing using a PC device and drawing tablet, however i find the moveablity of the tablet more enjoyable to draw on. Like how you can physically rotate and move a piece of paper around or even draw casually on your bed.All in all, as a tablet it is good, and as a drawing device can be good depending on what you want from a drawing device. It is definitely good enough if you just want to use it to take notes. For typing though I can't comment on the keyboard as I did not get the keyboard.

    The SC is a good aircraft for one experienced private owner. Unfortunately it is under built to sustain the rigours of group or club use and the support is lacklustre. There have been numerous SB’s to re-enforce landing gear components. I had a situation when the 200 hour SC in the hangar had more serious structural issues than a 13,000 hour Cessna 152 that was in maintenance at the same time, I seriously doubt that due to build quality an SC will ever reach 30% of the airframe life of the average C152.

    • @FitBones
      @FitBones 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are probably correct. The Cessna's and Pipers were built in an era of build to last and as you say they have stood the test of time esp as training aircraft.

Also appreciate the listing of things to see, places to stop, etc. Loss of rear brake fluid? Keep on trucking!

    • @FitBones
      @FitBones ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the loss of brake fluid was caused by my off.. Anyway, easily fixed once it was bled and re-filled. Glad you enjoy my videos. Yep, you have to be a little careful on your own, there were lots of bears around in the woods and though not a problem on the bike, if I had to walk 20 k with no horn or noise I may have been a little worried. Be on your own adds a different dimension to travel. Enjoy your PR7, if you get a good one they are hard to beat.

    Great video. When I was riding I was considering getting an Active3. A couple of extra bits of information which I hope someone will find useful: 1) For a cheaper mount consider a Quadlock universal adapter on the back of the Active3 case. It certainly won't be as good a solution as this but may be good for someone on a budget. 2) There is an LTE version of the Active3 and unlike other LTE tablets this one does have an ear speaker. So it can completely replace your phone. This is very useful for a travel tablet because it can act as a complete backup if your phone breaks or is stolen. 3) Unlike other tablets this will work without a battery. So if you only use it on the bike then you can remove the battery to keep the battery healthy. Obviously it needs a USB power source though. 4) You can get bluetooth OBDC adapters. Plug the OBDC sensor into the OBDC port on the bike or car and then use software on the tablet to read it. 5) I'm not sure how integrated this would be but you can get bluetooth "buttons" to put on the handlebars and use these for some controls such as accepting calls, moving to next music track, etc. It probably won't help much with navigation software but may be useful to some people.

What would be helpful (this is not a criticism just a comment) if you would list all the components that you have installed. I do not know what connection you have from RAM Mounts EZ-Roll'r Powered Cradle to the bike, have looked at RAM but found nothing. Thanks

    • @FitBones
      @FitBones ปีที่แล้ว

      The RAM mount I used was the EZ-Roll r powered cradle, which I then plugged into a charging point USB - A I had installed. This allowed power direct to the cradle and pins. Also if the pins failed in heavy rain I could also use a USB -A to USB-C direct into the tablet. Both ways worked
