I loved their show They were simply the best. 10 out of10. Especially Debbie.

Simply the best - The guy was and still is an absolute legend.

Was not his best trick ,debbie turns her body sideways,when he first turns the box at and angle, there is a back plate with blade tips that come out of the box when the blades are put through, some blades are folding blades ,some go through and push the back plate, in fact when paul removed the blades Debbie did not turn back ,and the fake sword tips were still poking out of the box,

Sitting in the bottom of the box notice the amount of room, the green box, the metal square and there is some of the black between the square insert and silver, plenty of room for petite Debbie to sit and just move her body slightly to allow the cross spike to pass by

Only Paul would take the standard zigzag and absolutely blitz it by adding other magic techniques what a beautiful effect

Debbie was an awesome assistant who deserves the bulk of the credit for accomplishing many of Paul's illusions. He was a terrific showman, of course, but she was not only a "looker" but played a pivotal role making the illusions look easy and effortless.

In the 80's we saw some parts of Paul Daniels' shows in Hungary in the television. I recorded them to VHS, because I loved him style, and enjoyed the fun. Yesterday somehow he came into my mind, I'm glad to be found this video, and I can mention I still love him.

Debbie was an absolute doll

At 6:00 you can see Paul say something - probs to Debbie as he caught her hand with the sliding panel or something. This is simply Debbie using her contortion skills to the max - The black panel on the floor is deliberate as the bottom of the box has a black lycra base which debbie puts her feet into - black floor makes it impossible to see the lycra stretching out of the box.

Debbie is quite the performer as well. not just a pretty lady

Paul was one of my growing up heroes. Always entertaining and had the beautiful Debbie as his assistant. I always wish I'd have had the chance to meet him or even go to a live show but wasn't to be. A true entertainer of the highest quality. Loved all his TV shows and Debbie is still lush to this day

it's obvious Debbie McGee is a time travelling android from the future, that can detach her head while the rest of her body hides in the bottom section.

I think i've finally managed to work out how this was done, i'm not going to say how, because only lowlife cockroaches and worms would ever attempt to reveal how magic tricks are done, regardless of if they have the right or wrong solution, anyway I think i'm right and both Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee deserve equal credit for their superb performance of this magic trick.

Part of PD's appeal was that he would send up the posh guests in the audience and make the working classs viewers appreciate that magic wasn't just for the middle classes. His accent was perfect for that role, and of course natural.

I think he used some mirrors? She is pretending that there is less room than there actually is. The swords bend somewhere or something like that. She is safe between some mirrors. Her dress also is playing some role in the illussion

I wonder if Paul got Debbie to wear those outfits at home....

5:44 illusions that involve boxes and skewers are so much better when the skewers seemingly come out on their own. It makes them a lot more convincing that somebody is still inside the box, even if it's done by a mechanism of some sort. The perfect version of the geometrix illusion would have all the skewers and tubes come out by their own, without the help of the magician.
