My last comment was written mid-video. Having watched the rest of it: thank you. I am a fan of the genre and a game developer. I started working on a dating sim in my free time because as you said, a lot of those games are money-grabbing machines. The fans of the genre deserve more respect. Also, I don’t want to get too cheesy but honestly, hearing you say that you respect developers making good titles within the genre, made me very happy. They deserve recognition. You have a new subscriber! 🩵

Hahaha The fishing timer is pretty tight even on default hardware, but its soooo much worse on any emulator. Almost impossible to catch fish with the latency LOL

I'm a collector of the Star Wars Playskool Galactic Heroes that ran from 2001-2010, and I'm always trying to trace connections from that toy line to others- I wonder if these were inspiration, competition, or even overlapping design staff. I've got one of the mummy guys who caught my eye in a dig bin last year, and am trying to decide if that Robin Hood playset would make a good display for my Playskool Ewoks. Thanks for the video, this is so great.

Magnifique! I had the sets that were born a bit after these, combining the details with the adventure series with the less fine motor skills of little people. I had a castle set and Noah’s ark! I haven’t thought about it in ages! It’s a truly lovely memory. And getting to hear about your memories! That was so much fun! What a lovely video.

I played this game recently and yeah, it is painfully repetitive and kinda clunky, but honestly, it's the dialogue that really carries it for me. It's so charming and fun, it massively improves the whole experience.

I hope you cover the later ds games

It's crazy how different MySims on the ds was from the Wii version. The only MySims game that was better on the ds was MySims Racing. Also the Joseph love story was fantastic commentary, thank you
