I dont know if everyone caught it, but when making the reservation he said the name 'Taylor' So he clearly remembered her and her last name (and assumed she wouldnt be married, if she was she wouldnt have changed her name anyway) so he totally knew what is up.

I could watch this scene a thousand times and not get board. There's a girl who broke me heart pretty the same as this girl did to Hitch. And I pray if I ever see her again, it goes just like this. No dastardly plans of revenge. Just her realizing she made a mistake and me being polite, maybe doing a small favor for her, then being respectfully dismissive at the end.

She had a date. She was about to cheat on him too. She said it like a lying child. When he said ‘Very tempting’ I think Hitch knew she was full of it. Plus she never actually asked him out. She put the ball in his court to test him and his level of interest. Bad move because at no point did she apologize for the past or for even forgetting his name. Clearly Hitch has grown but she has not. When he said ‘you said that’ he left her on red and helpless because he didn’t say no or yes and left her waiting in her own selfishness to wonder if her dream man will ever call and he never will. Mans didn’t even hug her good bye. And even when he walked away the first time she ran after him when she wanted a date, but gave up and didn’t compute to chase him a second time to apologize from the past. Hitch gave her several chances from the beginning to address the elephant in the room and she never did only pursued her desire. He left as he should have. And it was merciful. Hitch could have taken his revenge 10 fold. But she only saw rejection and Hitch’s love for her was real. So he chose mercy and left her on red to think about it for ever. If only we all could continue growing until our exes aren’t even our types or in our leagues anymore……. ohhhhhh but she begged him to take revenge! And when she called him silly, I think when Hitched paused he contemplated taking it. And chose mercy. Go Hitch!!!

Not just women, but men do this. On that note, I've had crushes on girls who wouldn't look my way at all or put me in the "Friend" zone. Then realizing they married the popular guy or the bad boy after high school. But most of the ones who peaked in high school tend to stay around the ones who remember their glory. Then I've had them come back years later and want to go out or date and say "you're so cute, or you're such a catch and the big one I let you get away". I've been the same person, you just realized that it's no longer high school and you're not the prom queen anymore and the "bad boy" translates to "asshole". Then ask "where are all the good men at?" That's the thing about us Nice guys, we are the guys you see at the gas station, grocery story, gym, work, mall, and give you a compliment for no reason. You discarded us for so long that we evolved into something else emotionally and sometimes physically. I always treat them politely like Hitch did and maybe even get together to eat or drink, but never a relationship.

There should be a college to learn that skill 5his guys does. Unfortunately, we learn the hard way. But still it is important !!

This movie was frustrating... Eva's character ruins his life and then the movie has the gall to make him go chase her? lol wtf? And no surprise they removed this, because we can't make women desperate and they have to be the victims 24/7. No surprise this movie came out right around the time the feminist movement and Hollyweird were really kicking off.
