I really wanted blue to go 5,9,10 and 8,3,4 wheat pile just to punish everyone not choosing wheat first. Would've made for an interesting game 😂

If you want to take 6/5/11, the 6/3/11 is probably better because the extra sheep isn’t offering all that much with you already being on the 8. But the road production (even minimal) will let you expand into the 10/9/5 or the 6/5/11 anyway since you don’t expect your opponent to be taking anything on that side of the board and once you settle, you end up with the same setup anyway, but with a little road production too.

You needed a 3:1 in the last game

That last one.. I feel like you could've definitely gone for a more balanced pick since there was so much abundance of ore wheat sheep on this board, they were bound to get a piece and then it was over. You should've gone for something like 9-5-10 and 8-5-10 and have a lot more flexibility. Going all in on ore wheat sheep is only good when you're the only one who can tap it.

Idk if it's top strategy, but I would pop for utility before the city if I'm on pure OWS. Once you faced a block, you were stuck

Rough 3rd game as you were stuck most game. That instance could’ve taken 10-9-5 point down and 10-5-8 point left. Work your way to the wood port gives you better flexibility.

Wild that game 2 the opponent went sheepless in their set up. That was definitely 2 easy games

I think the 6 3 11 would have been better. Less production but you start with a road and have all 5 resources. But then you rely on a lucky early 3 or 11. It's a gamble either way

Why didn’t you try and trade for wheat on your last turn. You could have ported for brick if they give you wheat and they were most likely to do so than trading you road building when everyone was after roads.

that initial road from the 4-5-11 was probably what took away your win... you would have blocked black's expansion if you built towards the 6 sheep... apart from that, pretty well played

Even without hindsight, building two roads (and settlement) to the 11 brick was really bad. You would have settled on 8 10 earlier and you would have been able to get to 3 4 or 3 6 before either black or blue. You would have had better production, better distribution of resources, and more space, and you would have taken space away from both black and blue.

Rather than plowing blue to the 11 brick, consider building roads to the right side of the board. Much more space and you increase your number and resource diversity

Pointing the road in on your second settle is what doomed your game in the end. Being able to drop the road to 4/3 to cut Blacks road opportunity would have secured your win. Other than that you played it pretty close to perfectly.

Love the 1v1s! I do think greater production might deserve a little more priority

16:23 Please stop asking these beginner questions all the time. A port is pretty much useless in this spot. You need 4-5-11 and 6-5-9 as your next two settles if you want to have a chance of winning.

Last game I like 693 to sheep port with 6511 down. Leaves him in a difficult spot of no brick and only the 10 ore.

I'm the 3rd game, I thinking taking the 943 & 8103. Giving black the 693 gives them everything they want.

Enjoy your vids, 3rd game i paused before you picked. I would of taken 6-5-12 & 6-9-3. This keeps him off all brick so you should be able to build to all of the ore and wood port. then you are set. he is playing a decently strong OWS but i think this give you the best chance

Keep them coming, you play well ! I do feel you should have taken 659 as your second pick in the second game. This way you can play of the brick port, build into the ore and take most of the space. Third game was tougher, I would have played of the sheep port and build into the 5 ore. Brick was a serious problem on this board and that 3 brick was worth a lot. Min 20, you should have built towards the 9 5 6 and traded sheep, you could have settled and dominated resource income, no idea why you just ignore that. I would also make it harde for them to connect road potentially. I don't think it was unfortunate...

pick 6 and 7 just gave the world to black. the 6-9-12 was so good for red too. But after they picked the 8-10, green needs to step up and take the 6-3-12. they can even point up since black isn,t taking the 4-3-11.

Red makes me happy that i dont play ranked. Regarding the game, holding that rb all the time wasnt optimal. You had multiple times to play it and you did not which gives the impression that you are at 9. Just play to 9 12 and you will not be the rob anymore in the end game. Ggs

You should 100% have gotten the RB out of your hand when you out had the chance. It just looks like a VP and increases your threat level. Black should probably have hit blue and then argo knighted you. It might have made all the difference. Tracking at this stage is difficult but blue didn't need much to settle.
