Thank you for such a lovely & calm podcast today, just perfect for the Holiday Season! Every year I bake Ohio State Buckeye cookies or candy (I'm not sure which they are😁!) I'm not from Ohio & have never even been there but my mother found this recipe in a Ladies' magazine in the 1960's or 70's and our family has been making them ever since.

Hi Darcy, I’m having the best time knitting my songs of the season scarf! I’m really trying to keep up with each day, knowing that if I do, I’ll have a fun, new scarf to wear in January. Loving it! I always bake gingerbread cookies and sugar cookies at Christmas, among other things. I have sweet memories of baking with my mama and helping my grandmother but they didn’t do the cut out cookies that my family loves. My grandmother was famous for her pecan pie and we enjoy making that recipe….in fact, one of my sons usually makes it and brings to our Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers. Enjoy your peaceful week!!!

Fun episode, Darcy! I’m on day 3 of the Songs of the Season Scarf (I’ve decided to make mine a scarf also….i think….) We know a large family who have been passing walking pneumonia around through all of the children. The mama and daddy haven’t gotten it but are weary with tending to the fevers and coughs and sick children. I took a huge pot of soup and lots of rolls over, plenty to last them at least 2 meals, so that the mama could have a rest. I’m looking forward to your weekly episodes!

We got about 4” on Thursday here in Appleton. It’s gone now. I will keep my eyes and ears open to an opportunity to do a kindness to someone this week.

I am planning on participating in your advent Kal, and am looking forward to it, but this year just hasn't been a good year for me when it comes to KAL's and I'm not sure why😫 But right now I'm concentrating on finishing as many of my WIP's as I can before the end of the month. We will see. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thanks for reminding me to put a few finished objects into the Ravelry thread. I have never gotten an Advent calendar. I really just began knitting with lighter weight yarn.

oh Darcy! I never even think about this anymore because it has become such a habit. I like to pay for the cars order behind me in line at a coffee shop. I always tell the barista to tell the person/people to "Please make it a great day!" The fun feedback for me was one of the barista's that saw me every morning getting coffee and doing this on Friday mornings (when I actually went into the office) said something to the affect of ya know last Friday,,,,there were like 10 cars after you that did the same thing! How fun is that. I figure if I can brighten at least one persons day then my day is a success!

After having two kids get married this summer I’ve knit for everyone from stash. Only one gift left to go! I made emotional support chickens for the new in laws, since they married my kids!

I signed up for 2 swaps with Carla’s 12 days of Christmas swap so I will have 24 10 gm minis that should work perfectly for this project!!!! I can’t decide whether to pair them with a burgundy full skein or a light (maybe blue or beige) skein. What will you be using for your full skein?

I love that Cartography sweater! Our fall colors were short-lived this year due to the winds (which also reduced my need for raking 😂)

If you want more pop of color on the shawl I would go with the teal, but I like the purple more myself. We are having wonderful fall colors here in Montana. My favorite part. I am loving my string of beads mitts and will definitely make more. Will send the pics. I have some hats to post too. Just been busy. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for making me think. My crochet squares never seem to lay flat. I think partly it’s me tension in stitching them together, but hmmmm I should be blocking them before stitching them together. Your Patchwork is lovely. P.S. no fall colors here in Florida.
