How to Build a Model Portfolio That Will Book You Jobs
Thank you so much for this valuable information. Our daughter is in the 8th grade. Glad to learn this early.
Great content.
Great video as always Thanks Karlly.
Glad you enjoyed 😊
Excellent tips
Very intelligent woman Thank u Karlly
I Should have started with this video. Been jumping around all day but learned a lot. Sent u a coffee today Thanks for all your time and knowledge Aesop NYC
Awesome info Much appreciated Aesop NYC
At around six minutes in the video you mentioned 20% is that referring to what your agent makes from your income per booking? Aesop NYC
Yep, they take 20% from both the client and the model
@ thank you.
@ so they’re actually making 40% from each job the model does if I’m understanding correctly ? So If a job pays $1000 the agent makes $400 and $600 to the model?
@ agency makes $400, model makes $800
@@karllyfeng oh ok, the agent takes his percent directly from the agency then a separate 20% from the model’s earning of $1000 which leaves her with $800. Got ya. Thanks.
Excellent Karlly Looking at many of your videos now for an upcoming aspiring female teenage model. Best, Aesop NYC.
What kind of percentage does an agent take from a model’s income ?
Does it matter an electronic portfolio or an actual physical portfolio for a female teen first timer ? What would you recommend? Thank you. Aesop
Does the looks usually include wardrobe?
Wardrobe usually is an additional cost. Many photographers will include wardrobe for an additional fee, or you can hire a stylist.
I just started watching your videos today. Are going to be very helpful in my daily life. Thank you so much for your advice. Can't wait to see more and yes you should start a series.
Thanks! Shared this in my model and photography group on Facebook!
Thanks for sharing!!
Unrelated to the video- your hair is stunning !
We will all die one day! It can be tomorrow or 60 years later. Just live your life, spend you money, travel, eat & drink...
Ads... I dislike them so damn much... Wherever you go, there they are. I do not watch TV because most of the programs are crap and because it takes you 1 h to watch a 20-minute show because of the ads. YT has incredibly long ones before and during the video. IG has 2 or 3 after every 3 pictures you see from people you follow. I have ad-blockers that help with YT's ads. Only use IG on Safari to make the experience so annoying that I barely go online. Now instead of posters they have screens everywhere that are so incredibly big and bright that they hurt my eyes. Even the paid Spotify subscription has ads in the podcasts I listen to. The only way to escape them is in nature, reading books, journalling, being with friends.
Thank you and you're so beautiful.🌹
Leafy greens you can wrap in a paper towel and store in a container, it will help them last longer.
This is fascinating! Thank you for sharing, I never knew how this type of business sale works and figured you’d have to know someone to acquire a business. As an aspiring entrepreneur, this is awesome to hear about. Thank you for being so smart and sharing openly.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing - we will learn along with you via your updates. It sounds like that Mongolian vacation helped you re-charge and helped give you the clarity to buy the right business for you. With ❤ Rikki.
It really did :)
super interesting, v curious to see the day to day of running the biz, and the updates on how it goes
this is so cool omg
Love to see this karly! And congratulations on taking this next step in your personal career
Thank you so much Anne 🤍🤍
it’s so fascinating how mongolian horses are different compared to other horses you’ve ridden!! and omg all the animal and surrounding nature clips are so stunning!

Congratulations on your new business Karlly! Very smart to get your feet wet in it first before making any changes. I’m sure you will be successful and look forward to videos on the details. With ❤ Rikki.
Please share with us steps that we can take to start or aquire our own businesses too....as well as the saving approach you recomend to have a good amount of money aside to start this. ❤
It depends on your budget for a business. If you are taking out an SBA loan, you'll have to put minimum 10% down (with something as leverage). If you are self-funding, you can work with the seller on financing, or you just have to be ready with 100% of the funds.
First view & comment ❤️ ex tech girlie thinking of buying a reselling business in my neighborhood. Love this topic.
That's so exciting! Good luck with everything--I would be so interested to hear more 😊
I can totally understand and relate, I have been in a similar situation, and what I learnt from my own personal experience is that you never chase MONEY and TITLE in a career! Before praying for that dream job, first, pray for a good boss and a good work culture.
Thank you so much for this vid!!!!
I enjoyed this one - thanks for sharing but seeing 5k in the title I thought you meant you were going for a run. Clickbait! 😂 When you hit 10k subscribers you must run 6.2 miles and post the video😅
Oops! I’ll get my running shoes ready 😅
Awesome 🙌🏾. Glad to see your first Q/A. All the best with all current and future ventures!
@whothou thank you 🤍🤍
WOW 😮 - it’s amazing how good you were riding that horse! A once in a lifetime experience although maybe you will go back at a different point in your life. Thanks for sharing 😊
This is a beautiful vlog! Really enjoyed this
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Amazing video
Great video! Thanks for sharing your trip
Whattttt you have been in my country ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
!! Do you live in UB or the countryside?
loved learning about mongolia and your travel adventures through this video! all your footage of the horses, yaks, local gers, and stunning landscapes were so cool! also so inspiring to hear you went from not being able to canter to learning how to gallop at full speed in just 9 days!!
So many beautiful views! 6-8 hrs a day on a horse will get you riding like a pro by the end of the trek 😅
I didn’t know horses rolled around like that!!!
They are too cute 😭
This looks amazing! Honestly pretty eye opening. As now I have something else I'm interested in trying :)
Highly recommend! One of the best experiences of my life.

BEAUTIFULLL
Sinking funds are one of the reasons I love YNAB so much. It makes it so easy to set up the amount you need and the date you need it by, and it takes care of all the math and adds it to your budget.
I know what you mean. Between mortgage payments, student loans, and all the other expenses, it feels like there’s always something draining my account. It’s not like we’re living extravagantly, either.
Exactly. It’s not just the big stuff, either. All the little things add up-subscriptions, groceries, insurance. It’s like money just disappears. I can’t believe how hard it is to save, even with a good salary.
It’s definitely tough. I’ve been trying to figure out where it all goes, but every month there’s something unexpected-car repairs, medical bills, you name it. It’s hard to get ahead when you’re constantly dealing with surprises.
You’re not alone. I’ve been feeling the same way, and it’s so stressful. I’ve been thinking about what I can do to get a better grip on my finances because this can’t go on forever.
I’ve been there too. What helped me was working with a financial advisor. I used to think that was something only wealthy people did, but honestly, it’s made a huge difference.
Well, My advisor, Aaron Morgan Bell helped me break down my expenses and figure out where I could make changes. Improved by portfolio
