All comments are welcome, but please don’t tell me how to ride. I enjoy riding the way I do, I have a good amount of track and race experience alongside the road stuff. I don’t need patronising, so might react in a way that could have you reaching for the emotional support hamster 😂
Gravel strewn mountain roads
Yamaha MT-10 following Suzuki Versys on mountain roads in Cyprus. Gravel was a real problem on quite a few corners and can be seen in the video. Very twisty to start and then opens up a bit as we get down the mountain towards the coast.

Can you remember riding my MT-10 in 2017 when you had just got your R1-m and saying you preferred the R1? What's your opinion😉 now?
@@JohnHonda101 I’m 7 years older, a lot more knackered and beaten up and a lot more broken bones and other things. So I’ll go with the MT-10. Having said that I still miss the speed and revvy feel of the R1M or my HP4. I’m not sure I could squeeze onto either of those anymore though 😂 If they weren’t so stupidly expensive here I’d go for the M1000R. 210bhp naked sounds nuts.
Nice roads, nice riding.
@@JohnHonda101 it’s awesome over here. Like me 😂

@@Dan-nv6td sort of. Even us awesome dudes can get a bit rusty 😂
Ooh yes! Great footage
Thought you’d like it.
you are speeding within your limits, good job , if you beyond you might end in a crash, hope dosent happen, stay safe :)
Thanks. I always ride between 80-90% so I’ve got a big safety margin.
Doh!
@@Dan-nv6td that’ll teach me 😂
That bike is not at its max, you are
The throttle was to the stop, so I wasn’t getting any more out of it in a straight line. My leathers were half undone so were blowing up like a balloon. I’m miles from being at my maximum 😂 A naked is a gentle bike to jog around on. The temp in the sun was hitting 55° Celsius 120°F so the roads weee slightly greasy too. Oh yeah I can ride quite a bit faster too, as my other videos and my earlier track stuff shows. I do like someone trying to educate me though, always makes for a bit of a laugh

super! views are killing me! 400Km to run-in, to start riding mine
When will it be run-in then?
@@LoonR1 , I got new moto 1 moth ago, I have to complete 500Km under 4.000 RPM and another 500Km under 6,000 RPM. Do the first oil change and after that I can start riding it normally. I have 200 Km left 💪✌️At the end of week should be completed the run-in ✌️

Thanks John. Another one the way with a cheeky overtake
How are you mate? Would it be ok if I feature this video for a youtube edit of mine? I'll credit you with watermark on screen. Thanks
Hi, feel free to use the clip as you want to
Stupid.
That was terrifying! This is how fast an idiot can end your life for you and everyone who knows you. Everyone, remember this fact every time you catch yourself doing anything stupid behind the wheel. Remember it *_EVERY SINGLE TIME!_* That is the best way to ensure you’re not the idiot ending someone else’s life.
I've always been told there is a time and place. This video shows it wasn't the time or place either.
Time or place for what?
@@LogisticalTacos everything
I agree it wasn’t the time or place for the idiot to overtake two other cars.
@@LoonR1 and the motorcycles were riding at the speed limit. I used to ride when sport bikes came out. I've had friends who've been seriously injured, known people who've died and had close calls myself because I'm not in the right place and time for shenanigans. You can't control other peoples actions but you can control yours. You'll always have ignorance of laws and life no matter where you are or who you're around but in a controlled environment you stand a better chance of getting out alive.
I was in the right place at the right time because it didnt hit me 😂 @timlad5
They almost turned into Hamburg
I have to turn right then continue for another 3500km to get to Hamburg. Not really close when you look at it that way 😂
Sounds great! What exhaust is it?
Thanks. Official Akrapovic with a recent decat. It’s much louder since the catalytic converter was removed and remapped for an extra 15bhp.
"Don't slow down, or I'll pass.................and overcook the corner you were slowing down for". How ironic.
Hardly. The road was completely clear so no need to pull it back over. I look far enough ahead to know what’s happening.
Coffin on wheels, I love motorcycles, but never on government tax's payeed mainstream roads, Private roads owned by private citizens speed to your heart is content, I get the trill, but on public roads with car drivers who can't drive or even see, & understand road rules.
I was the guy in front! Yes i admit i was going to fast into a blind corner. Got a bit excited on my new bike 😂 but everyone on here saying its our (bikers) fault really need to have a word with them selves, acting all holier than thou! I was lucky I'm still here and i learned from it. Lets move on ✌️
The only person at fault was the idiot in the car who almost crashed head on into you
@@MickBhutleg Thankyou 🙏
Good lord, this comment section is full of absolute retards somehow blaming the motorcyclist. These people are the idiots on the road causing incidents like this.
Thankyou!! I know I was speeding a little but no excuse for the car
Cyprus? edit: 10:10 ok, likely Cyprus
Maybe don’t race your motorcycle. Speeds like that it doesn’t matter how safe you think you are.

I drove across the country and there were two times where people were using oncoming traffic to pass a car and they almost hit me head-on and I had to slam on my breaks and one time I literally ended up in the ditch because we would have smashed it's insane

Will do! Got to enjoy it while we can.

Yeah, idiots to be on the road with car drivers like that
@@LoonR1the public road is not a track mate 🤷♂️
@@TristanSpowoncoming traffic isn't your lane bud
@TristanSpow Thanks for the lesson PC Plod. All roads here are a racetrack though.
@@TristanSpow They're not going fast, it's 80mph, 140kmh. like what? maybe you should be blaming the car that's driving the WRONG WAY, a car going below the speed limit would get cooked here. Like ?. I can't even with your dense ass thought process
Strange hand position on throttle 🤔
Ivy works for me as I roll the throttle on and off. Too many grip it tight and all the way to the switch gear. This way gives me much more feel.
@@LoonR1 i might need to try it, i find it super-uncomfortable to hold the throttle in the typical way while also keeping my 2 fingers on the brake lever... this also looks more closer to the (allegedly proper) "screwdriver" grip vs. the (allegedly not so good) "hammer" grip... so far I'm pretty much a hammer-guy
@jaroslavzaruba2765 I struggled to change my grip until I started racing then it was necessary and quickly became very natural and second nature. No need to use the hammer grip as it means too much elbow and upper arm movement rather than a very smooth roll on to max throttle.
@@LoonR1 is it possible that the screwdriver grip is better suitable for the posture you have on a sport-bike? i ride a naked bike
