    I need even a more basic guide to setting up. I'm new to Midi and purchased an MC8 with a ML5 looper for my analog pedals. I want to set up midi for my Strymon Timeline and Eventide H9. Are you familiar with better videos for the neophyte?

    • @jspencernado6228
      @jspencernado6228 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not specifically. The first thing you want to do is set your MIDI channels. Not sure how on the timeline (see manual) but in the H9 you can do it with the mobile App. Once you’ve set the MIDI channel for each pedal you can send messages from the MC8 on that channel. I hope that’s helpful. Is there something more specific you need help with?

    • @jspencernado6228
      @jspencernado6228 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot “twist knobs” using MIDI commands with the Jackson audio stuff. You can control Golden Boy on/off, gain cycling, gain circuit type. Same on Bloom with boost type, compressor type, on/off....

    I had the same problem, the only thing you have to do is replace the o-ring in the quick connector, ( the piece of plastic you have in your hand) its behind the white plastic. its easy just get a o-ring pick tool pull the damaged o-ring and install the new one. 3 mins. job free o-ring from my friend at the auto parts.

    Great video, nice details. In that hose there is a o ring...same as the upper radhose. There are o rings in these connectors all you need to do is replace them... if not wanting to chop up your truck. Like 2$ per ring. The rings flattened out and leak when pressure is dropped while cooling down.

    • @brooksbelanger8799
      @brooksbelanger8799 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even with replacement rings they can continue to leak. I actually purchased a brand new hose with rings when the original went bad. And sure enough it leaked from the moment installed. The whole hosing the o-rings sit in is a design flaw. Complete junk.

      The problem is the plastic neck warps and deforms. Once that happens putting new o-rings in it will not make it seal up. This kit is the only way to repair it properly.

    • @jspencernado6228
      @jspencernado6228 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      One clamp connects the new hose to the bottom of the coolant tank. That was a pretty tight fit trying they the hose onto the outlet spout so if that’s where the hose came loose you might try heating up the hose or lubricating it to get it to go on more easily. Then secure the clamp really well.

    • @JuanGarcia-xp2lk

      What I did is that I left the hose connector in there and I just put silicone tape inside the hose connector and is not dripping no more at all

    • @jspencernado6228
      @jspencernado6228 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      pops1 pops1 if you’re able to resecure it that may be the only fix needed. However, others have said the issue is the little rubber o-ring inside of the hose where it connects. Others say they replaced that and it still leaked so it’s still not fully known what combination of issues may cause the leak but I know that the replacement connection I have employed has held up great over time.

    • @jspencernado6228

      Leonardo Garcia yeah, disconnect the hose where it attaches to the bottom of the coolant reservoir. Be ready with a cup to catch most of the coolant that’s gonna be draining from the reservoir. Then just cut off the end of the hose and tie in the replacement kit like I show in the video

    • @jspencernado6228
      @jspencernado6228 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leonardo Garcia I took the whole thing off in order to get the replacement piece to slide on the bottom of the reservoir. Others were able to do it without taking the whole thing off by soaking the replacement hose in hot water to make it expand a bit. I’m not that smart.

    I just had my dealer replace the hose and water tank. $1000 later but i have an extended warranty on my 2014 so only $50 out of my pocket.. I asked for the old parts back to see what the issue was but both the hose and tank look fine.. What baffles me is why can't somebody just put some high heat silicone in the connection and re-install. Anyone try that? Dealer charged 3 hours to do it and looks like they forgot to reinstall my hood switch and did a crap job installing the air ducting. Any dealer mechanics reading? FYI dealer mechanic we go to you because you are supposed to be the best.. my dealership (Chilliwack ford) sucks balls and will get an ear full tomorrow.
