is there a lot of math in microbiology?

I’m actually trying to learn my material. I took my exam yesterday and got the lowest score :(. I a majority cheated. But I’m a nursing student and need to know this. So I’m trying to get my study habits right

what happened with the semester videos ? i enjoyed watching them in preparation of each nursing semester

No one should feel bad it is virtually impossible to get an A in this course while working full time having kids etc doing overtime to support self and family,try your best that’s all you can do.People who don’t work full time etc have the time to focus on this 100% and get an A or A+ not everyone has that opportunity or is lucky enough.Getting an A in the class doesn’t mean you will not suck as a nurse.Nursing is more than microbiology.

My professor gives 4 slides a week with over 100 pages each 😩

ok this is amazing i kind of do the same thing but on my notebook not a dry erase board! love these tips so much! way to be organized - i wish we had slides we have quizzes and chapter objectives to complete on our own... i would literally pay for your organized notes!

Hello, do they allow you to do the prerequisites in that college after admission or you need to have it before you are accepted? I trying to become an international student… the prerequisites are really confusing

Hey, My girlfriend is transferring to UMB this fall as a sophomore as you did and I saw that you did clinical when you transferred she is coming from canada so the main issue ig is if credits transfer and if they dont will she still be eligible for clinical (some context she is in a nursing major in canada and has had clinical already and really likes it and hopes to have it sophmore year as well) and on top of all of that was it easy to transfer? she has a 3.9 as of now and will have that when she applys at the end of the month do you have any tips/advice etc?

Sukaine Attar I took counseling 12 in the fall semester of 2021, my final grade was a A and in the winter semester of 2022 I took speech my final grade I got a A and in the fall semester of 2022 in August I took English 1 and my final grade was a A and English 28 my final grade was a P for passing and I got a grade A on my English midterm

When Mr. Trump takes the power again, or any time before that, there is a fair change that he will hint that microbiology is a hoax. Then there would be a fair number of micro organism deniers in the US (and there would be some spillover to other countries too). That’d be interesting.

Hi Sukaina Attar, I Jessica Walker is a nurse major, and I took counseling 12 in August of 2021 the Fall semester and my final grade I got a B. And I'm taking 1 class that is speech for the Winter semester it started on January 4, 2022, and it ended on February 13, 2022, and now I will be taking Fundamentals of biology I do not have a grade yet for my speech class.

I’m definitely going to try your expo divider study trick. My professor doesn’t upload PowerPoints. He like to strictly lecture from his mind with assistance of a PowerPoint but mostly everything is from what he says. Actually not bad at all. I just need a way to study all of the different bacteria. Thanks!

thx for the tips! taking it this sem and while lectures seem fine now, i feel so slow in the labs like i had to redo a simple experiment bc i didn't read through the instructions carefully enough. i need to calm down lmao

How do you not get discouraged? I start the semester with a study plan and I have the best intention to learn but then get discouraged when I don’t retain the information or understand fully.
