I admire the high-tech/low-tech approach in this movie, it's like nanotech blossomed while cellular phone technology never left the military, and personal fashion remained rooted in the late 50s, minus all the hats. It's pretty surreal. I was surprised to find this wasn't done by Production I.G. as I had suspected.
