We were loaded on defense in 2023. Imagine having a 10 man rotation on the D line. Also imagine having an 2 All American defensive backs. Having Mikey and Will was a nasty combination. Jenkins, Graham, Grant, Goode, and Benny in the interior was lethal. 4 pass rushers on the edge rotating in and out kept the pass rush on fire. That 2023 team was built to win a Natty.

Man calm down!!! I like Michigan (not a fan) but let’s be real they didn’t face one elite team this year, especially offensively. Anyone who knows football saw this as a real possibility of happening because there wasn’t any elite teams going into the year, especially how it normally is at least 1 or 2 in the SEC. Ohio State had QB problems. Alabama had QB problems cause Milroe is only elite at running and had to compete against scrubs to even win the job. This was arguably one of if not the weakest Bama team Saban has had in the playoff era during his time. They were always talented but this team was young, had line issues all year and had no great QB like they’ve been having in recent years or elite wrs and still barely got beat by Michigan. Michigan brought back everyone after failing to win it all back to back years. Damn good team but let’s no over react and have recency or fan bias because they just won. Good win though and damn good team with a great coach.

Michigan is the 1st team to win a national championship with only 2 five star recruits on that team. Proving stars are not everything. Mikey was a 2-3 star coming out of high school and ended up being the best DB in college football.
