I appreciate the fact you did this tuto to help us, but please consider that mainly beginners will watch that. As you're moving too fast, and explaining some stuff that in the end is useless as you have to watch that other video anyway. Also your shortcut setup is different as the initial setup (those shortcuts on top left) which makes it only harder to understand. But anyway after 30min instead of 5 min I've managed it and that is thanks to you ❤

3:50 the installation instructions tell you to copy the files to Settings\username\gimp-2.6\plug-ins but you copied them to AppData\Roaming\GIMP-2.10\plug-ins. Does that make a difference? When you open the Preferences the are two plug-in folders, but you don't comment on this.

omg in contrast to 99% of all gimp plugins you cannot just copy it into a subfolder, but you have to just dump the individual files in the plugins folder

Followed all the steps but it is still not working. In the "ReadMe_Windows" file, it is stated that the plugin was compiled for 32-bit systems. My computer is 64-bit version and I wonder if this is why the plugin does not work for me. If it is the case something needs to be done. Thanks for the help.

I cannot get this to work with the color selection. I loaded a magazine cover image into Gimp and followed your tutorial to the letter. When I selected the white text, it selected other portions of the image as well. After I applied the filter, the result was horrible looking.
