I’m so proud of you man. I had the exact same start as you, with the Alex T vid. I rewatched it like several times and downloaded an emulator to try for myself. After getting it all set up, I started playing, my first goal being to get to lvl 10, similar to yours. And then after I got that (which took a week), I went for 100k scores, starting on level 8. After around a week and a half of trying after school. I managed to get my first 100k score, which went into level 12. I saw your videos (particularly the level 15 one) which inspired me to learn how to properly line out, and after not too long, I got to level 19. After a month worth of playing after school and going for my next goal (level 29), I reached level 29 and got one line on it as well (which was just really lucky). Since then, I have been improving my stacking and have been learning how to get Tetris’ on level 18 & 19 speeds. I still need to improve on level 19, but I don’t have an NES controller. I’m gonna keep trying on keyboard till I get a controller, in which I can finally properly learn rolling on. I’m considering spending a bit of my own money to get one. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck on your next goal!
