That blower is definitely seized. I can clearly hear rattling and fretting noise coming from it. Even the Hurricane itself isn't that loud, so I can clearly tell, that blower is gonna call quits any time soon. I don't wanna bring bad news, but I don't think, they'll fix that blower. Instead, the entire Hurricane will be replaced by a newer siren. I hope it won't be an ATI, alias censor beep.

Hey, at least this cold test turned out better for you compared to the stupid meetup in GPW. Which was mostly like 18°F and 20-35 MPH wind gusts with almost 10 inches of snow and snow being so cold it filled the front half of the horn affecting it’s loudness so much you could hear every other siren more clearly making the thunderbolt sound quiet. It was around the time after we all found out it got fixed 3 years ago. It was also the first time my camera had gotten blown down during the test and thankfully I was next to it when it happened. I’m happy to see this one functioning once more with a working blower This Time! Anyway, video turned out great 👍

I'm not surprised the blower is dying. This siren is over 40 years old, and it's gonna end up popping its circuits just like Darien's did. Hopefully a bit of restoration could sort it out, but if they do end up replacing it, they should build a new siren right next to it to keep its legacy alive.

What an absolutely gorgeous 1000T. I'm impressed that it still has the screen protecting the horn. Deshler has 3 thunderbolts for storm warnings. The Sterling at the fire department is used for fires and noon blast.
