I too am one that regrets selling my DT10. I've been having a hard time finding another one to purchase. I have been able to find some nice condition ASE 90's though. What are your thoughts on the DT10 vs the ASE 90?

Was the 691 not the real Beretta “flop”?

I have a 95 and it shoots great. I'm liking it more and more than my 694, or my son's DT11, the more that I shoot it. Took it out this past weekend to shoot some bunker and was amazed at how easy it swings!! I'm looking for this colorway 96 just so I can have the set!!

I've still got my 303 semi auto, had it 30 odd years now.

My dad has a 692, not a bad gun in its own right, noticeably bigger than my Gold E, it always had big shoes to fill and people shy away because of rhe ejectors, but if it fits you then it's good, as good as a Gold E is it may not fit everyone.

Companies like Beretta and Blaser tend to bring out the ire of US consumers leading to "bad press". While we crave the innovation, "teething" problems do not set well here. The problems with the early 692 (or the F3 for that matter) caused a lot of lost sales once the gun writers/forums started highlighting their respective shortcomings. The problems were fixed but the resale value plummeted as consumers didn't want to "get stuck with an early model". The 694 is the only surviving model of the 690 series in the Beretta USA catalog. A shame really. As most have found, using consumers as beta testers is risky at best. A very interesting example with lovely wood. Thanks for sharing!

I have a 692 X Trap and it hasn't missed a beat since I bought it 4 years ago ! I'm picking up a 682 Gold E X Trap this week .....It'll be interesting to compare the two

I had one of the very early ones and you are right on the money Matt. Made by Satan and his team of lesser Wizards. The switch on and off ejectors in particular drove me to distraction. When it behaved, it genuinely shot well. But, I lost patience and faith in it and moved it on. Enjoyed the review Matt. Thanks for sharing👍👍

The original 682 (which mr digweed used to great affect) had the wide action frame, it went to the narrow action circular 1991

Happy New Year Matt. This is one of the nicest Semi’s I have seen. Way too good for the Pigeon Hide and Foreshore. “Classy” clay gun though. I assume that in Italy and Europe this will be a five shot, which makes more sense when walking up. Especially in the mountains as you don’t need to carry a lot of ammo?? Not so practical as a three shot?

I use a Browning Maxus ultimate partridge I love it and shoot well with it, didn't think I would see another semi auto that I liked as much, very nice 👍

Not a gas auto bit more recoil , (Remy 1100 comp best ever auto) lowest recoil ever. wood isen't bad on that benelli on the telly gun!

Great review of a real looker of a semi! Believe the receiver is aluminum (“Ergal” in Benelli speak😅) It’s nickel plated so looks steel’ish. Keep up the great vids!

Well that's a great level of detail, thank you. It's a really beautiful gun. Only let down by the plastic trigger guard, which felt incongruous in the one I tried, but I suppose the labour and machining of such parts would make them even more expensive. It will be interesting to see if metal printing tech gets to the point that it can replace plastic in some gun parts.

I have a B-80 from around 1990. It has the alloy receiver, a 26"/2 3/4" chambered invector choked barrel and weighs in right at 7LBs. Mine has a factory rubber recoil pad as well. It's a sweet pheasant gun, for sure. I will never part with it. Reasonably light, balanced and soft-shooting. Beautiful wood, like all Brownings. A berretta slug barrel fits and works perfectly. I'd love to find an alloy 20 gauge, but they are scarce. I wish I had purchased one when they were available, but that was back when I had little disposable income. I later looked at Berrettas but they just aren't as attractive and didn't fit me as well. For an upland bird gun, the Browning B-80 is a winner. For waterfowl and turkey, something heavier with a 3" chamber is in order here in the States. Thanks for the great review.

I just purchased a DT11 ACS with a TSK stock. Haven’t shot it yet and will pick it up next week! So the only opinion I can offer is the SL2 in my opinion is better looking/ lines/ and overall appearance. Only time will tell if it’s worth twice the chocolate!! 🍫 Great review and I can’t wait to try my new shotgun!

I think Browning are a lot better mine is over 9lbs bang on for me , I think Mk 38's are more like a game gun!

I am sticking with my Browning 525 XS & XT pro's, top gun you will not get a better gun and they are stronger to.👌the 825 is still nice as it is a Browning!

There's only one shop that I know of that imports the Miroku shotguns to the US from the UK. I'm fortunate to live near that shop. I have the Miroku Mk 38 in grade 5 Sporter and Trap. I also have an older Browning Ultra Sporter. The Miroku Sporter is my favorite, but the Browning has been a great gun as well.
