Gen 2 FZ1 Catalytic Converter removal (de-cat)
Before and after comparison of removing the catalytic converter on my 2012 Yamaha FZ1 with a Two Bros Racing slip on. It's a very simple process of drilling and punching out the cat in the header. The bike wasn't much louder if at all. However I did notice the exhaust sounded clearer without the cat. I can't tell whether it's faster but I feel like it runs smoother and has less engine braking. This could just be a placebo effect. If you are on the fence whether to keep or remove the cat, I would do. The bike definitely sounds better. **I know my bike idles weird. It has always done that during a hot start since it had the stock muffler.**

How to install QL-38 Hood Pins on your S550 mustang
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The installation is on a cervinis gt500 hood, however the process is the same for any hood. Sorry in advance for my poor camera skills.
does this fit a 2022 ecoboost mustang
@@Girzir this process is universal, you can use the same location or pick a different one but the process is the same
The safety squints working hard at the beginning of the video 😂. Wear some safety glasses people
@@BMWE30S54 safety squints are OSHA approved
What size is that hood pin ? 1.75 ? 2.44?
@@Car_nage 1.75
Way cool. I started the process using their directions and thought to myself, I think I know a better way. Think I'll try and find this guy online on TH-cam. This was it. Man, they just wanted a 7/16 hole and then hole saw. You would have to large of a pilot hole for the Hole Saw. Glad I watch and did not drill anything but a small pilot hole in the bottom.
Do you know if it’s the same process for the QL50?
I would say you can use a similar process
@@s550depack4 Thanks for the reply. Do you know the difference between the one that you installed vs the QL50? Also I think for mine I would have to use a 1 1/2 size
I do not know the differences but the QL-38 is smaller. Just use a hole saw smaller than the top cap and follow a similar process
@@s550depack4 thank you bro
Are these the low profile ones?
Good video! I'm gonna be doing this on my Cobra R cowl hood and I think I'm experiencing anxiety for the 1st time ever😂
Love your pin placement vs where most put them. I have the Cervinis Stalker hood coming... I'll be installing these.
I'm getting the Stalker X carbon fiber version.
Did you keep the hood latch? I'm trying to decide on these and the aerolatch hood latches
Yes keep the hood latch, when you go to pop the hood, pull the lever in the car then press on the pins
@S550 DePack sweet, I wasn't sure if the buttons disengage first or pop the hood first then pop the quiklatches. I need to do mine so they don't flag me at the track
First video I've seen that did it right. Others drilled the pilot hole all the way through at the first mark.
Roasted that jagged hole! Use cutting oil, and hold that drill vertical.
Looking to do it on a Ford F-150 Harley Davidson 2003 GT500 hood thanks for the video.
Whole lotta NOPE
Bro, Safety Glasses. Thanks for the vid.
