Fun fact, Future Gohan never any more training after namek. And plot forgot every feature like rage boosts and Zenkais he had. AND STILL SURVIVED LONG ENOUGH TO TRAIN TRUNKS. I love that Deku's a "crybaby"--it makes him relatable and human. It also helps break down that idea that strong heroes need to be stoic or always confident, because living constantly like that is in reality so exhausting.
I agree with the completely, there is nothing wrong with crying in the slightest and the fact people would complain about that is crazy LOL

I do think Fairy Tail is over hated but like you said the whole concept of the show was about Family and acceptance and it does that message pretty well, I do think sometimes Anime fans forget that a lot of Shonen’s are for a young teenage demographic so yeah a lot of it is going to be the friendship power and whatnot and forgiving villains if their the worst kind of person, when I hear the oh it’s bad and I mean yeah absolutely for someone who is past the target aged audience but for that demographic it’s the best kind of show because of it’s themes and messages.
Yeah I don't think the show is perfect but it's definitely over hated 1000%
@@HiddenSH_ Yeah it really is especially when other Anime’s do the exact same thing Fairy Tail does sometimes even more so, I think it’s kinda hypocritical to hate Fairy Tail but then other people’s favorite series does the same thing, I feel we gotta keep it fair if we’re going to hate on one thing you gotta hate on the other 100 Anime that do this IMO just saying.
@ yeah I feel like fairy tail got a bad reputation and it just became and meme and has stuck with it forever
even though I haven’t watched much of mha but I can definitely say people who say that deku isn’t good character can NOT argue that the manga drawings of him are absolutely incredible
Yeah 100% the manga art is incredible!!
I am up in the air with One Piece. Because I realized you have all these pirate Empires that know the evil of the world Government, and they do nothing. And that includes Luffy, and then I truly realized who Luffy is. Then I realize Dragon might be the only actual hero of One Piece. And knowing my personality of justice and true righteousness, I realize that I don't like One Piece as much as I thought. It's a lot for me to think about. I have the narrow world view of putting many others before yourself especially if they deserve it, regardless of if you are connected to them or not. So, realizing all these empires in the One Piece world actively choosing to do nothing and let people suffer makes me disgusted in them. I still connect with these characters but in a lesser way now. There's also a sentiment from videos that I doing research on. That over time One Piece is getting worse in its writing with more plot holes and dead-end setups. Which would be less desirable to read and watch.
I can understand where you are coming from but I think you also have to think about it from a greater world view, Luffy and these pirates no matter how strong they are can't take down the whole government by themselves, and even if they could that wouldn't solve the problem because they aren't all evil. The very top is but Garp and Koby and a lot of other marines are actually good and probably still a greater good then if Kaido or someone was in charge, that's why I personally love One Piece because the world is so explored and dynamic, with realistic writing that you can explore with your mind. I personally disagree with the sentiment about the writing declining, I think Oda is still surprising us and making incredible stuff. I just released a new video actually talking about his longevity
lets go first comment
Thank youuu!!! I hope you liked the video :)
Deku never cried from pain breaking his bones so many times Bakugo ugly cried from losing to Deku and knowing Todoroki is better than him in the first season. Even after that Baku go wines like a bitch every time he gets outmatched
He's still a bad character
What makes you say that?
I'm 700 episodes deep Still think it's extremely overhyped and mediocre It's the worst Shonen I've ever watched, and if you want to know why read further (I fully expect the hate comments) There are filler episodes that you can't escape from because they aren't technically filler they have some plot in it but the filler is integrated inside of the plot So basically 99% of One Piece episodes are around 80% Filler and 20% Actual plot. For example: It took 4 episodes before we learned that hordy told to the first Son of Neptune that he killed his mother and the 4 episodes were just them swimming to get to each other like a Chase. In Amazon Lily there are 3 WHOLE episodes where they just shoot arrows at Luffy. In Dressrosa where I am now it took them 20 episodes to just stop walking in the city, (Zoro being lost and Sanji being with violet) and it's the same old jokes with each character, it's fine when you do it a little bit in every Arc. In Marineford before the fights we were told like 50 times about how strong the 7 worlds are in the fact that they're going to be there also the 3 admirals so I started to get hyped, but in the end it was 50 episodes of just Luffy running and not fighting anyone more than throwing one punch. The fighting in general in One Piece and at least where I am is always lackluster, I was not hyped from a single fight in the show just because though is so much talking and cuts to another place every 3 minutes. And don't even get me started on Luffy that little bitch. Make a plan for once and stop risking your friend's life instead of just saying "I'm going to beat somebody's ass" and then disappear while they're clearly fighting stronger opponents (like in Thriller Bark and Skypia). And I also can do like an hour of explaining (but I won't because this is a long comment) why Ace's death was so uncharacteristic but was still done just because Luffy needed emotional baggage. So when I get to the end of the long arc and the so-called hype final moments/conclusion happens I don't care anymore, I just want to finish the ark and move on, One Piece don't have a pacing problem it has a pacing death sentence. It's like I like Pokemon but I won't say it's the greatest anime ever because it's not, it's a show for kids (that adults also watch) that Toei animation squeeze the life out of with more episodes. My favorite Arcs are Arlong Park and Sabaody literally just because the pacing was decent. And despite all of what I just said I do look back fondly on this show, but it's just because it's so long it takes it took me years to make it that far you will always look back fondly on that long of a show, it's the same with Pokémon (If you actually watched a lot of seasons)
It seems like a lot of your issues are with the pacing? Correct me if im wrong about that and if so I would recommend One Pace or the Manga and I think you would enjoy the whole show a lot more, but that's fine if it's not your favourite thing in the world, but I think asking Luffy to make a plan is out of character for Luffy he was never once done that, he is someone who is completely free and leaves the planning to smarter people around him. Ace's death being uncharacteristic I think is extremely wrong personally especially all the explantion of his character we get in that arc and how he just wants family and to be loved, so he puts them before himself no matter what, and he died doing that for whitebeard the man he considered his father
@@HiddenSH_ First of all thank you for replying usually people are not found of me not liking one piece and yeah I know that's out of Luffy character I want Luffy's character to change because I hate him I don't understand people criticizing Deku because he's a teenager who cry at people severely wounded but dismiss Luffy literally letting his friends almost die in battle but they have plot armor so they cartoonishly/unrealistically Escape every time. And about Ace all you said about this character is true until Marineford Ace gives one of my favorite speeches in one piece about him wanting to finally live after he physically saw what his life meant to so many people If Ace would have died without giving that speech beforehand it would have been fine, but given his background you don't give that type of speech unless you truly feel like you want to live, for you and for the people you care about. so basically the fact that all it took to make him turn around is one insult on Whitebeard Make that powerful speech essentially meaningless which is uncharacteristic. It might look like I'm looking too much into it but when I saw it for the first time I immediately noticed it and I was really upset that Ace was done dirty like that because it was one of my favorite characters in the series
@@speed1787 I get what you're saying but again Ace's character even after that speech is still someone who would put whitebeard and luffy etc above his own life and wanting to live, because they are the only reason he wants to live in the first place, so any disrespect or anything towards them he would give up his life in an instant
Future Gohan was the way he was out of necessity. Because if he hadn’t been like that, he’d have died a lot sooner along with everybody else he was trying to protect. Book worm Gohan went to school and tried building a future for himself, because the world was at peace with no threat in sight. Even if he’d have trained his ass off during peace times to maintain his full potential as a fighter just for the sake of it, that just wouldn’t be Gohan. The compelling thing about future Gohan, is where his drive comes from. It’s not pride as a warrior, or a desire to get stronger just for the sake of getting stronger. He’s fighting for the hope of creating peace. He’s fighting for his fucking life. And by extension, the lives of everyone threatened by the androids. Expecting Cell Games Gohan to train like there’s a brewing war over his head for his entire teen years? That’s a lot to put on a kid, half-alien, or otherwise.
I agree with you 100% I just personally really liked the character of Future Gohan and would've loved to see more of him
7:00 I whole heartedly disagree that each arc feels whole. There is so much filler and character split up, not to mention a 2 minute intro with 2 minutes of maps for where every character is, 2 minutes of flash backs and then whatever boring shit the crew is doing, only for a 45 second clip of what the heavy hitters are doing and then roll credits.
I mean if you watch every op, intro, filler ep and everything else etc i can imagine you would feel that way, but I probably watched the anime the most efficient way you could while still watching the whole anime
@@HiddenSH_ I have been watching as each episode comes out weekly so when we have these fillers and flashbacks and boring side character episodes, its no wonder every arc takes 2+ years
@@kingcurry5139 Yeah that's true I also think its more enjoyable bingeing the show
The main reason I think Thriller Bark gets so much "hate" is because it's an arc that's just _pretty good_ sandwiched between two peak arcs which dulls it in memory.
Yeah tbf you might be right about that, the arcs surrounding thriller bark are incredible
Oh! The iner mind child scenes in mha reminds me of the Maka and Crona (Soul Eater) scene. It truly is a special sort of scene where, without all the pizzaz of the real world interfears with what is going on inside the characters heads and souls. The audience and character the second, can see what the person thinks of themselves with out the physically sensory walls, and allowed the visual cues to see the persons "core" In part it gives us inisght on how fundamentally, Deku hasnt changed at his core. Not at all, and thats beautiful to see him doing what he always does, which is reaching out a hand, which in season seven, we see later reflected in the Toga/Urauraka scene and a little bit with the Dabi/Family drama. The identity and the quirk are not the same person, which is in part why we see these scenes of them when they are 4 years old, just moments or days before they get their quirks. Another stretch might be to say that in showing these scenes, we see how Deku has rubbed off on his classmates in this small way, of reaching a hand out to those who wanted a hand to grasp all this time. I think back to the Hawks/Twice fight alot. Id have to rewatch it but i do recall Hawks trying his best to spare Twice, but in the end, Twice chose to live for his friends, his family, understandable considering Hawks had betrayed their trust and again, if the commision could have their way, had the Lov killed. Deku wants to connect, snd he dosent want to kill. T I think this is in part due to his analysis and his love of quirks. His analysis is considered professonal grade, even to the point of some people wondering how he even knows something so personal or miniscule only a trained detective, doctor, or dedicated professional would likely notice a tendancy to favor one side over the other or the draw backs due to his dedicated reasearch. Deku looks for ways to help, most kemorable is right before the camp arc when Mido and Shigaraki meet hand to neck. Sure Deku is scared, and maybe he only gave the villain his honest opinion on stain out of that fear, but it is quite special that instead of refusing to answer or again trying to fight back or call for help (all very stupid or no existant) or even making up a believable lie, he jsut spits out his opinion. And, if im not mistaken, Deku does lie, not to harm, but when the aim is to help someone or keep others from worrying about him. Deku is honest in his intentions, that is admirable. Which is why i think Bakugo And Shinso are great friendly rivals for deku. The former 2 are mostly violent and standoffish in nature, Bakugou being sky-high cocky and shinso being 3-feet-under stanoffish. All really want to be heros, all really want to prove the world of their merit in one way or another. Im too tired to finish the thought.
Thank you for the comment and the effort you put into it, I also love those scenes and think they were such a good addition to the show and helped expand deku's character and his inner thoughts, even the scene where the previous holders ask Deku if he could possibly kill Shigi, even with the previous holders and no one else to judge him, his truest thoughts and he still wouldn't kill. His instinct is to save people
Deku is a really, great character, hes different from the usual hack-n-slash strong confident type mc's or the main who starts with nothing and- well thats why i like Deku, hes an underdog, but an underdog with a different personality, hes not entirely sweet, everyone loves me, or everyone hates me. He has, something, to grow from. Im rambling. I like how even beyond Deku, theres an obvious potential for the characters to have lives beyond the page, they are charachters you want to think about and like, and well, watch. There is dynamic character, hes weak at the start but has a strong heart, he has no quirk yet hes the best at analysing them, like, even if he didnt gain a quirk, couldnt you imagine him just working towards his goal despite the odds? I can. Hes like an Iruma, an Atsushi, Lucy Heartfelia. Ponpo the Cinephile They lack yet they have something to gain, something to live for. The execution of mha was a bit wonky at times but nothing that commends hate, especially after what the fans did to Horikoshi. My point? Well mha is oneof the anime which got me to write. Deku is unique, emotional, oh god the soft boy deku era had me cringing SO bad.
I agree with you completely, and the anime got you to write?? That's amazing!! Keep it up!
I used to think one piece was not a very good piece of fiction and that if I ever read more of it I would give it a low score. I read more, and I still think it is not a very well written story but it is the most fun I've had reading a manga in a while and I'm like halfway done and I give it at least an 8 and that score will get to 10 by the time I'm caught up most likely. One of the reasons for my sudden increase in score was a change of mindset when my one piece superfan friend came up to me and said "you're gonna be reading goofy pirate manga, keep that in mind." and I was like "...hmm ok?" and that was the best decision ever cause not taking things too seriously and not nerding out about fiction and writing is exactly what this shit is about. Be free. Don't bind yourself with superficial things like definitions and what's suppose to happen and what's good writing and all that bs and just have fun. And have fun I did. Banger manga.
I'm glad you had such a thing good time with the manga, I think that's a great way to enjoy it, just being free and enjoying whatever you might see! I'm glad your friend kept you around and still reading!!
Bro, you’re so right and all levels of aspect because I’ve heard so many people talk about how they hate this show because of how the main character is a crybaby and you’re literally describing why he is a great character
I'm glad you can relate to the points I made in this video! I was hoping to reach other people who enjoyed and understood Deku's character like I do!!
Imagine thinking someone a cry baby is enough to think hes a bad character and a wimp when all he fucking DOES Is LOCK THE FUCK IN. I don't get people honestly.
This is the first video I've seen of you, and I want to say you did a great job on it. The editing and the way you present everything is very entertaining. You got a new subscriber. Deku is far from a crybaby with how much he goes through and male sensitivity should be more normalised.
Aww thank you so much for the compliment, I'm glad someone enjoyed the video I made!! I hope I can make more videos you enjoy!! He is not a crybaby in the slightest and even if he does who cares
Deku is my favorite main 1🏆 Hinata Shoyo 2#🥈 Thorfinn son of Thors 3#🥉
I LOVE THAT LIST!!! All 3 are amazing and so are the anime!!
He's emotional but also a hardcore badass.
Agreed! He does both
"I can't save the galaxy I have a conference"
Paranoia
Deku is a bad mc for an entirely seperate reason; He isn't willing to work. We're seen in season 2 with stain that people with quirks that aren't necessarily overpowered yet can still be a trouble for pro heros, like how stains quirk is blood curdle, a quirk that requires his opponent to be injured to use. This means that either way with or without a quirk deku still could've been a hero, but he never even tried, until suddenly allmight gives him the most broken quirk in the series. And then, at the end of the series when his quirk his gone, he gives up on being a hero and turns into a teacher, except, deku decides to be a hero again when he gets a fucking iron man suit! Deku doesnt work hard and wont try anything unless he has a 100% chance of succeeding!
It’s not just that, middle school him didn’t have the confidence to become a hero since all the pro hero’s all have quirks, plus with the bullies bringing him down, too. I watched MHA two times, and I can say that if his mom, Bakugo, and All Might said that he could be a quirkless hero, he would. It’s just that the world has countered his idea of being a quirkless hero since every hero has a quirk, and he felt different. Also do you think he could have refused being a hero after Bakugo gives him the suit? He still wants to be a hero, he just doesn’t believe he can after he’s quirkless again since again, there are no quirkless hero’s to back him up.
Just no
Bro you are crazy if you think he didn't work at all, and even you bringing up stain goes against your point, because he still has a quirk, we haven't seen anyone with NO quirk be able to fight super humans. Deku had no inspiration after his hopes were crushed, and he still studied quirks and worked on his brain his whole life, and as soon as he had a chance to be a hero he did even without a quirk
@@HiddenSH_ Im not reading your entire comment because you got it wrong the first sentence he isnt willing to put in work unless there is a 100% chance of success
@@thellamaoffishy9962 That's just not true but if you want to believe that it's fine, if you read to the end of the manga where many many times he's working towards stuff without a 100% success rate then you can go ahead
Don’t let the anime fool you. Future Gohan was weak AF in the manga. The anime tried to give him a bit to work with but since the original manga was the creator’s truest intention for future Gohan; we must agree that he was shown as fodder.
My point wasn't that he was stronger than Gohan, it was just that I prefer Future Gohan more
He's just like me fr fr

one tiny mistake you made that Izuku wants to save people with a smile on his face and not becoming the number 1 hero. Sure he wants to become like All Might, but wants to become like All Might, a hero who saves people with a smile on his face
people are like: "why doesn't he train? It will make him better and chance of becoming a hero." What training as a 4 years old would really do? Ever since he got OFA he training in episode 2. People say that he's dumb or hating him for not leaving Bakugo. Thing is, that's not in his character. Regardless of what Bakugo does, Izuku looks up to him as an idol and a friend
Great point, a lot of people blame the CHILD for not training to be a hero without a quirk, even tho he was still studying and learning all the time. Yes exactly its not in his character to leave bakugo.. people who say that are dumb
@@HiddenSH_ thank you! At least someone who agrees with me
@@HiddenSH_ I LOVE Izuku and actually can relate to him. I also love the manga's ending, I think it fits
@@soul8648 I really like him as a character as well, theres a lot I can learn from him!!
@@HiddenSH_ thank you! And yeah same
Part of why I think MHA is peak is because of Deku being a great role model. It's okay to cry, empathize, work hard, struggle and think through your problems. He's breaking the mold of the conventional shonen protagonist in a big way. The same people that dislike Deku are often the people who want more classic male fulfillment roles like Luffy, Naruto, Goku, etc. Empty head, be silly, eat food, be born powerful, always win. MHA has reached a greater demographic due it's modern ideals and I'm glad to see it pushing Shonen tropes forward.
I agree with you MHA is an incredible show and I think a lot of people hate it for the wrong reason
Honestly, it behaves like a daily life anime where you just hang out with your dumbass friends having fun, but at the same time crew is fighting stronger opponents, solving one of the greatest mysteries of the world, inspiring people, changing the whole world But they arent being heroic or noble. They just see someone punchable and they punch them. It doesnt matter who it is or what the price would be. I think Hunter x Hunter had the chance to be as interconnected as One Piece, but due to mangaka's poor health, he tries to start and finish whole arc as it might be the last time he is doing it. One can see the potential seeds he planted, but he never got to execute it the way he wished to
Yeah I think Hunter x Hunter could have the potential but because of his health he will probably never get to finish his story
two of my favorite series right here - what's crazier is they have maintained favoritism from me over the last 15 years, which is a weird and really cool place to be it's always interesting once you get older as well to see newer generations reacting and loving the same things you fell in love with, it's almost validating? not that I look for that much, but it's really wholesome to see people saying the same things we all said 13 years ago (wow cannot believe I was watching hxh and op 13 years ago weekly)
@@Sandwyrm I agree with you it's a weird feeling and validating that so many people still enjoy the things we loved back then!
