VAITARNA LAKE / UPPER VAITARNA DAM
Lake Vaitarna offers the stunning scenery of the undulating stony peaks of the Western Ghats. A lovely lagoon with a vast extend of black waters & flanked by deep woods.
A few kilometres from here there is upper Vaitarna Dam. At a distance of 30 km from Igatpuri and 43 km from Nashik, Vaitarna Dam or the Upper Vaitarna Dam is a manmade reservoir situated near Igatpuri, Maharashtra. It is one of the major dams in Maharashtra and among the popular places to visit as part of Igatpuri Packages.
Vaitarna Dam is near JenJon Lake Vaitrana and the water for this dam is drawn from the biggest lake in the region - the mighty Upper Vaitarna. It is a magnificent sight to be standing on the banks of this great dam and observe various activities like fishing, bird watching, boating, children frolicking on its banks etc. The nearby JenJon Lake Vaitarna Resort arranges for various picnics to the dam.

Paradise on earth, the location of this villa is so out of the world, especially scenic during sunrise and sunset. This is definitely one of the best villa I have stayed in . Lake front, gorgeous pool area, beautiful bungalow , very well appointed rooms , excellent service by the caretakers and its clean as it can get. The view and the breeze from the lake were splendid! Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the villa, the next best part was the fantastic food made by the cooks and that too of your choice and as per your time.
