I think the problems in Hunt isn't because the dev team don't know HOW to solve these issues. I think the Hunt team has some of the best game designers in the world. Just look at the foundation and all the good parts of the game. It's pretty clear that the problems not being addressed or new problems coming up are due to the shift in goals and strategies which in turn shifted the some of the core values of the dev team. I guess there's no absolute right or wrong in terms of core values and identities for a game, but I think as you said, hunt's once unique and strong identity is getting watered down slowly.

Great video. Great Audio suggestions. On the points to extracting. Honestly there shouldn't be any marked on the map at all till you are holding or have held a bounty token. And there should probably only be a single extract too. A Hunt dollar cap would actually improve things too. Players would reach a point where they're focused on just playing the game rather than some kinda of investment they're putting in any one match. Make the bounty token reward a small amount of Blood Bonds literally making it more valuable but for a different system in the game.

Amazing video! I agree with many of your takes and your ideas on how to improve the game we love are very well thought out. I would love nothing more than to see many of these ideas brought to life in the game one day. All I can say is I hope this video, and these ideas, find their way to Crytek's desk and they start taking notes. Thank you for putting this together <3

Crytek Need to stop adding "meme guns" like Avtomat, Cho Ko Nu Explosive, Crossbow Explosive Bolt, Frag Arrows and Fortnite things like that... and the only reason i don't mind about Shredder is because it's an Event Weapon.

Glad to see some discussion on this. Love the game but it has been demoralizing when it feels like active play is being punished thanks to camping. We rarely get a good showdown where multiple teams show up for a proper fight, when being passive and ambushing active players is way safer. Hopefully active discussion can spark at least some kind of recognition / comment from Crytek.

Remove 2 Boss Map and after the Boss is banished the Map should start getting smaller and smaller like in other Battle Royal Games, and at the End when the Map is tiny it comes to the Showdown every Round. Last Team Standing wins. No Extraction Points at all. Just a Idea... Also, remove Necromancer. The Bounty should allow to revieve yourself in teamplay once per Bounty and as a Solo 3 Times in Trios and 2 Times in Duo's Edit: This is not fair for solo's i guess sadly Ty @ Whityyy greetings Xecutez

You got some really solid points. For me the best event to this day is serpent moon. However the idea of punishing players who are not able to get a bounty seems harsh. I have many matches where I spawn in the opposite corner of the bounty + they have an extract. Furthermore I did not run into extract campers since the release of 1896 lol (6 star elo), maybe I just get good lobbies but every team hard pushes or have a stand off for 10 min because of position advantages. Still don't know why they changed necro for solos to be single use. It wasn't strong, I mean you had 10 seconds(yes now only 5s) to push the solo/trap/burn them. With the burn change playing solo feels like a punishment e.g. mini crossbow revive bolt...

Remove the communist MMR and hunt will be good again

"Never seen coming". Honestly - how? If they never seen coming that if they put scopes on almost everything (I think the next ones will be maybe the knife), make them pretty strong, with 125 custom ammo then how it is a surprise, that people sitting in bushes, 150+ meters away from the fight - and even if they maybe get countersniped, they just get up. These ideas not bad but - imagine you attacking the bounty in the lair. They have shotguns, and you know it. They trapped everything (you maybe know, maybe not). You have to waste consumables just to try to get in, meanwhile other teams propably around, and they wait you with repeating slugs. Why would you do it, if you know that at one point they have to come out, and you will have the upperhand with your anything else but shotguns? So only the mechanic would not enough.

A personal take I hold is that the devs can make any changes to the game that they believe will draw in more players, as long as the game will keep more players in than players lost. I think the biggest issue with this little identity crisis they are having is that they are only focusing on trying to get new players in, but old and new players alike aren't finding much to keep playing for. I've not been playing much since about a month after the 1896 update, I did try the Post Malone event but died because of the server freezing up making me unable to move. Maybe server stability would be a good start, but who knows, the games servers were always bad but that didn't stop the game being playable before. I don't know what every solution would be, but I sure would like them to try more drastic changes all over more frequently to see what players actually resonate with.

Instant fix would be you can not extract without a bounty… simple fix and would make the fight for bounty way more rewarding

Love those Ideas. I would love to add: -Remove Beetles and revive bolts, they change to core gameplay too much. Maybe at least lock sb in place for 3-5 seconds after they got revived by bolt and make the bolt scarce ammo... -make boss lair and extraction in the same compound a lot rarer -buff the flash grenade a bit again: maybe only can drop ingame, no movement lock, but only 2 sec duration. i have not seen it once since nerf and alot of other things are so much stronger now.

Hunt is definitely losing its identity. Between the fact that they let known cheaters continue playing the game and only ever issuing suspensions combined with the sensational and stupid perk changes yeah hunt is almost entirely dead to me

My favorite nob meta weapon is the pac trushot and yah i use that skin u using on ur carbone. Deaths grin or something. Two pac trushots (not dual weilding) both with high velocity ks so fun. Dont forget fanning

Really great summary of some points that hunt could improve on, in my opinion. Eventhough i am a low mmr player and the cheesy playstyles are not a major issue for me i can clearly see from watching content creators like yourself how your points are valid. I like the solutions you present to encourage active gameplay, especially about making the bounty more rewarding with burn traits for example and (eventhough unlikely in the near future) adding some destructable entrances to layers. i think both would work really well and i cant see how it would negatively impact/shut down other playstyles no matter the mmr. The only thing that came to my mind i would like to see is that they increase is the reward for getting the banish or picking up a bounty token (maybe only from the boss itself). So if you die later on "in [the] game" you get partially rewarded for putting yourself at risk and going for the main objective. The reward could be 1 burn trait pledgemark or trait points you can put on your next hunter.

Great video, only channel I actually watch for hunt content. I don't even play the game anymore but still enjoy the content. The game has just become so not enjoyable for me as a 4 to 5 solo player anymore and the way crytek is trending I don't really have faith in them anymore to make the game better with so many poor choices they have made regarding weapon balance, lack of qol bug fixes, and this living from event to event is just not fun anymore.

I would love to play more non-meta weapons in 6-star-elo. But I am just not good enough to compete with a regular vetterli or winfield against good players.

14:00 that would be freaking amazing. If Extracts changed to that I'd actually start playing solo again. Absolutely nothing is more annoying then going in solo getting 6 to 8 pvp kills, killing boss, getting bounty and then just getting sniped off or ganked right infront of Extraction. Had alot of people complain "well just don't fight em" and yes that is a option to youuu, people forget the campers have options too such as force you into a fight or chase u down. They are abusing you specifically for your bounty They're not gonna just let you just turn around and walk off into the sunset.

I am tired that we keep talking about obvious key points like this, because we already know nothing is going to be done for that, it has not been for the past years. The core player base is about to collapse and most likely nothing will change, we are just gonna jump to a new event with new broken stuff. Sure Crytek is 'sometimes' listening to the community, but they have absolutely NO idea whatsoever on how to balance their game. What is the point to make changes in your game based on people yapping on Reddit ? You can't properly balance a game over average/low skilled players. One recent example, the shredder was not busted as 4* Reddit users kept whining about. Evolving in 6* lobbies you could just tell this was a meme weapon, surely needed a little nerf but not a grave. Blademancer tho was clearly an issue because people in 6* lobbies CAN hit their first crossbow shots (and easily with the new steel bolts). So when is Crytek going to listen to the proper feedbacks ? The ones from players with 10 thousand hours (Quin, Vombuz, Hornet, Whity, etc.). Like what was even the purpose of hiring Delaney ? And please stop using the term "smart" for people extract camping, it is at best lazy and opportunistic...

There are so many ideas that could make the bounty more interesting and games more fast-paced. Just some loose ideas from the top of my head: 1.) Looting a bounty carrier gives extra money. The value decreases with each additional carrier and second the bounty exists, so carrying and extracting it as the "only and first guy" is encouraged, while arriving as the last "leech" gives little to no extra value. 2.) Extracted Bounties give extra currency exclusive to buying rare traits. The bonus is amplified by a full team and double bounty extract. 2a) Making kills as the carriers gives an extra bonus, encouraging offensive plays instead of just avoiding fights. (e.g. "Soul Tokens" you can loot as a carrier) 3.) Exclusive skins for bounty (or new "Soul") tokens could be a viable alternative to the lackluster prestige system. Saying "hey I actually PLAY the game, instead of just pumping time into it farming mobs to hit Prestige 100". 4.) Extractions should never be right near the bounty. Related, I love your hidden extraction idea. But to discourage camping, a banish could slowly narrow down a pain zone around the compound that forces players nearby, and is only "avoided" by being e.g. 100-150m around a safe zone near a carrier. Similar to soul-survivor but with moving "bubble" areas as an incentive to stay mobile and in teams. This is probably the hardest to implement and convey clearly, so I'd rather see quicker solutions like 1-3 implemented.

I just came back to the game after having not played it since 2022. I'm somehow rated six stars and have been able to maintain it so far (about 40-50 games). But I must say I don't really recognize what you're saying about people not running the gauntlet anymore, so far I've only seen people extracting with one bounty about 5 times out of those 50 games. To me it feels like every game is all about the showdown part of the game. With that being said I do agree with your suggestions to make the bounty feel more like the main objective again rather than the event stuff.

Revealing extraction points when collecting the bounty is a great idea.

It need a wipe reset like Tarkov because bounty is not important anymore for player who have amount of hunt dollars , extractions spawn after first player pick up the bounty and more mode like only the bounty can extract.

The aim settings on console are horrendous. The deadzones are broken and the settings themselves are worse then years before in ways of offering precision

The response from the developers to nerf long ammo repeatedly and buff spam and “cheese” weapons is removing skill from Hunt Showdown.

I really hate buckshot on lemat carbine. It's too risky and puts you in bad situations. For that reason, I run starlight to burst barrels & utility. Already have melee & throwing knives for the range the buckshot would be fatal. For me it just isn't worth it

I havent thought about this very hard but would making getting a bounty a multiplier onto other money gathered during the match a great way to get people during events to go for cash registers and also the bounty

crytek you heard the man, get on it. Making regular hunt more chaotic again would be really nice. I always find myself only playing bounty clash because of the lack of encounters in regular hunt but bounty clash also doesn't have the same feel as hunt.

And as far as extraction camping all you have to do is make it where you go to the edge of the map and call for extraction so you extract anywhere after a few minutes countdown the extraction arrives and you get to leave allowing others to fight and a chance for them to catch up

Like I said man if you don’t get a token you don’t get out the game should have been that way since the get go

I think they should change how you purchase weapons and equipment as well and only allow players who have a token to extract the ones who don’t have a token don’t get out and lose And if you lose it’s just like quick match you lose all your stuff and your hunter and the equipment you can purchase should be based on hunter level and game participation putting meta weapons at the end of the hunter level 50 line
