Sounds like you caught the riding bug! Ahhh, yes, the battery tender mess. We can definitely relate! We have a fairly good setup when it comes to that, but we still have the cords running under another bike just to get to the one it’s plugged in to. Thanks for your feedback on the other bikes.

Thank you! It is fun to ride! I definitely fit on it better than the Shadow! There is a debate on if I want to bring it out your way Labor Day weekend or not. Would be fun to ride all the curves on it!

I’m not sure if I will effectively answer your question, but I will try. I don’t feel my bike oversteers by any means, but there are variables that will determine how much it dives into a corner. Your speed, your lean, and if you are turning the bars at all. These are all dependent on each other as well. Also, if you are using front brake when turning at slow speeds, it’s a dangerous habit. This will make the front end feel different as well. I only use rear brake at slow speeds to avoid upsetting the balance of the bike by grabbing too much front brake. This Shadow is pretty easy to turn and can turn a pretty tight radius. Hopefully that helps?

Sweet! Welcome to the channel! We have only had this bike for a week. I’m not entirely sure how to answer your question at the time, as all the work was done prior to our ownership. It appears everything was scuffed and painted. Somethings on the bike, other things off. I would assume high heat resistant paint was used. The wheels were powder coated, but the black is all painted. Hope that helps somewhat!

Yeah, I kept baffles in as they come. Sounds really great straight from Cobra. My particular bike doesn’t take a tuner being carbureted. We ended up rejetting the carb, and opening up the air box to get the most of the exhaust. What a difference that made. You will love it once you get your tuner installed. Thanks for your comment!

It is really easy to charge. There is a charging port built in They provide a charging cable, and you connect the cable to the built in battery pack, and just plug it in. Works pretty slick.

I suppose they all have their pros and cons. I really like the sound an older Sportster puts out. No Sportsters coming to our garage anytime soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thank you for your feedback. I think everyone has certain limits to consider before they choose a first motorcycle. This motorcycle served perfectly for my wife and I to learn to ride on. I struggled riding the little 250cc in my motorcycle class. I mean, I was able to get a 100% on the riding and written test, but I had already learned to ride on my Shadow before the class. I am tall, and it was difficult to fit on the smaller bike. I still have this Shadow, but I am too tall for this bike. I ride it around locally, but have my big touring bike for the longer trips. It’s nice to hear your perspective, as it is a reminder that everyone does have different limits right from the get go. You want to be able to pick the bike up from its side. If you can’t get it back upright, it’s too big of bike for you. Kind of another way to look at it. Thank you for watching and commenting! Ride safe out there!

Just saw a Facebook post in the Honda Shadow forum of a guy who started on a 750cc Shadow and is in the hospital and lost both his legs, because he got into a fight with a semi truck on the interstate... and lost. Fun picture of him in hospital and bike still stuck under Semi...

@@choppergirl that’s too bad! We never like to hear of a fellow biker being injured. Take the proper courses, find the bike that fits your needs at the time, practice in parking lots, continue to practice through the years, and stay vigilant out there! Ride safe.

@@TWOWHEELD I’m just interested in small business stories and how people get there. How they manage their time, stress etc. is it worth the extra stress and loss of time? That kind of thing, I just find it interesting, im trying to find motivation for myself to take the risk. I would like to have my own business and I do have a business degree, but I don’t know what industry I want to be in. All of my experience is in the automotive industry and I’m burnt out in that world.

@eyeballroomer maybe I will have to try to make a video on this while I ride around sometime! Owning your own business has its pros and cons. My father and I own our businesses together, but yet this TH-cam channel can also be considered as a business. For me, it’s more of a hobby, but in reality, it is a small business. I grew up around family owned business. I worked for my parents much of my life, but did work for a couple other large corporations for several years. I learned a lot of the ins and outs of business, and what it takes to be a good leader and boss so to say. Working for those other companies taught me how not to lead. As I am writing this out, I realize there is definitely a lot I could talk about here, and it might be best suited for a video. 😆 This particular business I speak of in the video has been owned for almost four years. It does create stress sometimes, because of instances like in the video, but there is also a reward to it when you sit back and look at what you helped build. I honestly never really think about it. I just wake up in the morning, show up and do what is needing to be done. I will see if I can flip a camera on sometime soon on this one!

That’s correct. Something around 530 pounds wet weight and around a 26” seat height. (Going off memory) It’s a well balanced motorcycle as well, so it helps make it very manageable. Thanks for watching and commenting!
