One of my favourite video game memories will always be when me and my cousin played through all of subspace emissary together and we got to the end and saw sonic come in and save everyone and we both lost our minds

A lot of this could be due to how unpopular Sonic is in Japan, Sega is known more for arcade games and franchises like Puyo Puyo and Yakuza in Japan. The average Japanese citizen doesn't even know who Sonic is! Doesn't help the fact that Sakurai only played three Sonic games, which were Sonic 1, Sonic CD, and 06, and that was just before he was added to Brawl!

I mean to be honest we could had seen shadow knuckles tails amy and eggman as playable fighters even metal sonic could be in there with new stages but no we didn’t and i feel really disappointed at nintendo

Everything about the Sonic Franchise in Smash is terrible. From the Stage Roster to Sonic himself as a Playable Fighter (His animations and Post-Brawl expressions and Moveset (With the exception of his Down Special) are awful). I feel like Either Masahiro Sakurai needs to play or do research on more Sonic Games or should’ve not included Sonic back in Brawl.

OK, first of all for me. I really like sonic character in the sonic games, but I wish they could’ve given more to his move said in super smash Bros like they could’ve given him the wisps from sonic colors which could’ve added a bit more depth to his move pool Instead they give him garbage moves. They also give him a spin dash which is not even worth my time using sonic is still my favorite character in the sonic games, but he is ruined in smash Bros.

Apparently, The reason why Donkey Kong has a trash moveset is because he was the only Heavyweight Character in Smash 64 and his moves were Heavy Moves like Giant Punch & Headbutt... A Ton of characters like Yoshi have only one of their specials not have a direct origin... for Donkey Kong, it's the exact opposite. Only 1 of his Special Moves have a Listen Origin, Which is Hand Slap, One of his 2 Attack Moves from Donkey Kong Country... He hasn't aged well...

Blaze is by far a better echo fighter to shadow plus she got her start on Nintendo I say if there's a character that's worth it Sonic tells knuckles eggman and then blaze.

The only thing the new ending does worse than the original, for me, is that it lacks the revelation of The End being a manifestation of death and nothingness. I get that it would be a bit redundant since it would probably just repeat the yapping session from the other ending, but it would have been nice to have something. At least its power seems even greater in the DLC, since Sonic had to go beyond Super Sonic *twice* to take it down, and even then he needed help. Even Dark Gaia and Solaris didn't push him go that far. And yes, I know Ian Flynn said that The End was lying, but I have an objectively correct argument for why I choose to ignore said claim: ..... That's lame, lol.

I found out why Sonic's So Poorly Representative in smash bros. It's Because Sega is Strict when it comes to Sonic IP.

I honestly think the failure of Sonic 06 is the reason Sonic only has one rep. Since that game, Sonic has been the only playable character at launch in every mainline game released in the past 18 years besides Black Knight, Mania and Superstars. Before Brawl, Sonic games were known for having big rosters with every new installment introducing at least one new playable character. If Tails, Knuckles, or Shadow had continued to be reoccurring playable character over the past 18 years, we would have definitely seen a new rep by now, but they've either been limited to 2D releases, spinoffs, or DLC. I'm hopeful for the next installment though since the supporting cast is actually getting more attention now in the series. Also on the biggest public Smash poll (an unofficial one), Sonic characters got more votes than any other series besides Mario, and out numbered the number one vote getter on the poll (Crash Bandicoot).

The reason why sonic doesn’t have any representation all that much is for two things because Sega tell them not to do too much with the character and second because sonic is just not that popular in Japan, compared to other characters

I think Zelda deserves a better moveset. Does Sakurai or Nintendo really not care about her at all? Its like all they care about is the other characters aside from the Zelda characters, Sonic, and others. I talked about her a lot because she isn't really talked about that much. It's like Nintendo left her in the void, and no one came to help. She's just stuck, helpless, in pain, stuck at the bottom, no sympathy from anyone, just hate that she's getting from Nintendo company. It's like favouritism from everyone. I honestly feel bad for Zelda. For 23 years, she has been going through pain with slow and predictable movesets, being judged. It just makes me sad how Nintendo and Sakurai treat her. I imagine Zelda is like an unpopular student while whatever character is a popular student. Its not about fun, its not about popularity, its about pain for her. Alot of moments where in a smash game similar to melee in a drawn artstyle and she gets replaced with sheik like shes better than Zelda even though Zelda is one of their IPs only to be forgotten, excluded, and hated by fans and youtubers. It is also sad for me because i have a different mindset than what people would think, i just wish i could give her a hug and tell her "its okay," while i comforted😔🫂🫂. I'm not trying to change anyones minds. I just need to let it out, i always loved the style from ALBW. She just needs another chance from Nintendo.

Steve's Neutral B is 4 different moves. Sonic has the same move for his Side B and Down B.

Tbh, most people probably don't like Bobby for his design since it's just a normal Bob Omb, but that's my favorite part. When he explodes the rock and dies, it makes it much more impactful, it makes you realize every time you explode a Bob Omb you're truly ending their life. It's depressing but insanely well made and one of the reasons Origami King is one of my favorites
