Unopened For 442 Days: Shocking Ecosystem Transformation
I made this ecosphere over 1 year ago. It is so cool to see the organisms that call this ecosphere home. Over the past year, this jar has never been opened. I don't do any water changes or feed any of the organisms in the jar. Life always finds a way.

This is my desert terrarium. It has gone without water for months and yet it is still full of life! It is inhabited by small bugs called Red Flour Beetles. They live their whole life off the flour that covers the bottom of the terrarium. #ecosystem #terrarium #desertterrarium

    Yep Tampa Bay Area gonna make one , is your system near a lighted window ? How much sun does it receive every day ? ( no water changes, no open the lid to let fresh air in ? , no feeding the critters ? Is it still flourishing ? Or did it die yet ?

    I tried to make two jars with moving water (I dont think that was a good idea.) and im letting them settle rn, but tommorow im going to a pretty damp rainforest kinda region with lots of ponds so ill be sure to make a jar there!^^ (Edit) I've got the pond jar and its going really well! Ive got lots of plants, a snail, tiny weird bugs, mosquito larvea, etc!! Edit 2) i made two morre pond jars... There is a whole bunch of those weird ground worms in one. But the worms got out of he ground and are now nearig the surface, some of them have tamgled together to make a terryfing ball of squiggly worms, please tell me whats wrong.

    Hi, very interesting. I have a doubt though since I don't see any seal at the top of your jar. Normally this kind of jar goes with a rubber seal. So I am not sure your jar is really sealed...

    im trying to create my own eco jar and I have a question. do I have to use led lights or can I just use natural sunlight by my window. if I do use sunlight does that impact the plant growth?

    • @WaterbugsINC
      @WaterbugsINC หลายเดือนก่อน

      LED lights are better but definitely not required. A window would work fine. I'd prefer north or south facing windows to limit sunlight but east and west works too.

    If we were put into a utopia, the first thing we'd do is destroy it just for something interesting to happen. Try living your life with no challenge, therefore no meaning, you'd kill yourself.
