I love that progression step at 5:54. I can't do it so I will try again next week at the gym. Thank you! I wish I know that progression step years ago.
This is how I learnt to do it when I was about 13 yo but I lost it now and being 75 it 's not easy to put one leg between my arms ;-)
Do you have one on Boginskaya? Thanks!
Sorry I don't, but thanks for watching!
oh my god, how you got these unseeen videos? they are my legends, I am cried when Korolev died, I met him in 2019, very shy and not so friendly man , he aged very badly
Wow. 87 to 90 was my peak time too. And you did pretty world-class skills back then. Excellent.
I got mine yesterday ❤
Hiya, I newly discovered you, just awesome and love your tutorials, keep up the good work.
Thank u very much. I find the forward handspring much more difficult than backhandspring
love this video! in your opinion, do you think back handspring or front handspring are more difficult to learn? (beginner adult gymnast)
Thank you so much! I think the second part of the forward handspring is difficult to land on straight legs, whereas the back handspring is difficult to achieve the jump backwards on to the hands and far more risky without good preparation. I think most people find the forward handspring easier
As a coach I’d agree.
Great video 😊😊😊
Thanks!
Boooooooooooooooooom 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, awesome
Thanks, it was a bit of an adrenaline rush!
@@gymwinky7083 How are you getting on? Any updates on the way?
do you have more of these videos? they are great !!
I have some more footage from Russia which I can hopefully make in some content soon!
Not bad old man 👍👍👍 no very very impressive Winky lad
Cheers mate!
Of all the great soviet gymnasts, I always go back to see Korolev, Bilozertchev and Artemov.
Thanks for sharing this second part of Yuri and Vladimir training in their home gym! Artemov is one of the top all around of all times. It's a joy to see him compete in TH-cam. You are right, his superb gymnastics was always topped by Korolev and Bilozertchev... Until 1988, when Artemov finally got his first world all around champion title, in the most important world competition, the olympics. Then in the 1989 world championships he was just about to win the all around title again but he fell in his ginger on high bar!!!! We all would have love to see him win that gold! . At around the year 2020 Artemov survived a hart attack in Texas, where he runs his gym. Does any body know about his health condition?
Thanks for the extra info and I am glad you enjoyed the footage
I feel your pain Winky just watching you put the guards on 😂
I forgot how dry and sore chalk makes your hands feel afterwards!
this is a treasure. good to see korolev and artemov in their training gym. when I competed in high school, the best gymnasts did not train at the best gyms.
I have some more footage of Artemov to release soon!
Booooooooooooooooooom
it's been a tough 30 days!
Boooooooooooooooom
Love this! Great seeing the out takes .., it’s actually me commenting this time rather than my son 😀
Thanks Graeme!
Brilliant video, especially the behind the scenes. It was great for my 11year old daughter to see you struggle in some of the drills and see you rub out the soreness in your thighs. That’s where it gets her too ☺️ Thanks so much. You’ve motivated her and given her some new ideas (she gets stuck lifting out of the straddle).
Thank you so much for your comments, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I am sure your daughter will be getting to handstand with ease in no time
This is my current goal. I am 46 and working on it daily. I can do one without a jump from two panels. I have to jump to get it from flat ground, currently, but I will get there!
Fantastic! Keep working and your feet will be lifting off the floor in no time all by themselves
Really great videos, keep them going. A video for upstart to handstand on high bar would be awesome too.
Thank you so much, I definitely want to do an upstart and cast to handstand video in the near future
Keep fit
Good

Double back somersault please
Cute!
Booooooooooooooooom Winky lad 👍👍👍👍
Just managed to find some more tapes from the mid 90's so I will make another video in the future!
Can't believe u don't have thousands of views
Maybe you can watch it 1000 times? 😀
@@gymwinky7083 would that work?🤔
@@jamiewink2669 only if you want your channel full of gym 🤣
Nice one Jason, I still like a swing around. 👍🏻
Thanks mate, I'm sure it never used to be that painful!
Love the intro!
