One variable to be considered with an older card that is almost always graded. A good example is a Rickey Henderson rookie or Jerry Rice rookie. I have bought many cards that I sent to PSA and turns out they were modified or trimmed. If you don’t check up front for being trimmed you have no recourse. If you check up front and request a refund from eBay, you may or may not have recourse.

Bo Nix, JJ McCarthy, Bucky Irving just a few examples of off season guys to buy into. As the season builds and the hype grows, you can capitalize on that. Same applies to baseball, corbin Carroll,who was hot 2nd half, Dylan Crews NOW, Sebastian Walcott, Walker Jenkins, James Woods and you can always prospect if you pay attention to your players. Guys who have shown what they are, stay away from. Anthony Richardson if you want to lose money, he's just bad, don't buy that dude. Just my opinion. Eric Michael, if you were curious... Randy Moss cards had a huge spike at the end of 2024 because he went public that he was battling cancer. I am not sure I would call it hype, but rather a sudden awareness of him/empathy for him as a human being caused his card prices to spike.

I'm a collector i don't sell my cards.. I work and collect graded psa 10 cards It doesn't matter for me if the market drops cause i buy cards for PC, i also buy well established players that i know are making the hall of fame!! that way I know i don't lose much in value!!

AI grading should be implemented with no human bias. I agree using human eyes for varying authentication or reviewing AI but I think it's the future and soon will be the go too.

PSA owns SGC now. They hold about 90% of the market. Any new player to the market will get crushed out immediately as soon as PSA feels threatened.

I like Golden Grading for like low tier stuff fair price nice holders and not bad return. You won't get PSA money but think can make profit with low risk

I have 50 to 60 thousand cards all ready I bought a collection from a guy that found them in a storage unit he don't like sports so I swooped them up when my my back failed on me I'm still waiting on disability now, still learning about cards but I do have good ones and the 90s but some 70s I have a lot got 89 upper deck ⚾ and 🏈

Ive been thinking of submitting through gamestop or team groups and have wavered over who to grade my cards...PSA, SGC, CGC, Arena etc. I also have some amazing early 90's wrestling and music cards that sell for dollars ungraded but hundreds when slabbed. For anyone interested, most cards from the 80's/90's are worth 3 for a penny (no joke, that's the ACTUAL price they're sold for. It takes 6,600 cards to be offered $20). And if you don't believe me, I have millions of them I'd sell you at that price. (Chicago area and I'll be at all the large shows like the National)

I like your thought of putting them into teams. I'm thinking putting high end base players with common players would allow me to charge more for the grouping. What are your thoughts? Thanks Bob

If you use the reviewer "Quality Assurance" when you buy his program then its at least 50% for modern cards. They also help you choose the right cards from ebay. Many of the cards on their are not worth grading but a lot are. His program is legit but its not as easy as it seems, its a whole part time job. But if you need a path to get some extra money on the side, it certainly beats sweeping floors, etc

Sound issues

You have to buy the sport you're interested in during the off-season if you want to make money, staying ahead of the game is your best bet. Also, if you're able to prospect a bit or focus on rookies coming to the league that too allows for you to hit big at times. You won't hit all of them but if you do your research, it sure does help. Remember, buyers want cards when the player is hit or has a big hame or week. Juat my 2 cents!
