Yes it was May 18th for the 100th anniversary of the Bob Julian Roundhouse and 130th anniversary of the Southern Railway

No way They fought they were making the six chime for 90 but They made for 89. Since I got one, And because the reading six is my favorite whistle ever, I guess I'll use it now! :)
The quill on 89 is worse than 90 but the file they put on 89 sounds more like the real whistle

Well the new brass 90 was kind of a failure, so y'all should just keep thee 0-8-0 90. Because what I heard from my bud is that it can't even pull 7 to 8 cars because of how light it is.
0-8-0 90 has died on me twice and is actively trying to kill itself with its mechanism. Brass 90 has no such problems besides the material the replacement tires are made of; it's not the model's fault.
If the rail is covered in smoke fluid or if the tires have no grip then she’ll slip

Honestly, I was really surprised that they got 475 fixed that fast, It's really impressive. If that happened at another tourist railroad it would have taken months to fix it.

You know what sucks the fact that Lionel never released Lionel legacy SRC 475 and SRC Thomas
There is a 3D printable model of Strasburg Thomas on Thingyverse for the Lionel 0-6-0T docksider and I’m sure Lionel will make 475 soon

Very unlikely, they’re focused on 90 right now plus they have to work on Southern 722 so 31 will have to wait until 90 is complete

Awesome video, how did you get the smoke to output so well? I just got my 90 and the smoke out put has been hit and miss, I added about 15 drops out of the box.
You have to blow the whistle a lot, there isn’t really a good way to stop it from bubbling when you first put fluid in it. Also blowing down the stack helps get the liquid down in there
@@strasburgrailfan90 thanks I am still dealing with mine blowing smoke fluid all over itself, trying to let it sit overnight after adding fluid to let it soak in
