@@logeswarps I saw that after I finished uploading. It's awesome but requires a different strategy than the one I use now to be fully effectfull :)

There is a pity function, so for every 200 attempts you get one for certain. The odds is 0,5% at every pull so you can technically get them sooner. There is also pulls from legendary antimatter, which gives you a certain 4 star hero which has a 6% chance of a 5 star hero. Pity mechanic here gives you one every 20 pulls for certain. In both cases the pity mechanic is reset if you get one by your own luck.

I haven't played long enough to confirm it, but when you pull a hero you already got you get to "awaken" them. Apparantly if you do that enough they end up getting an extra star. I'm only at awaken 4 with my best hero and there is 5 levels and it takes 9 tokens in total to get there.

It's actually not included in the recorder I use unless I pay for it. Not sure I'm ready to take my hobby to that level :o

The game is based on the same foundation as RoC, so to be honest the differences are the interesting part. There are a lot more battling here than in RoC and you dont produce units for the battles. Neither do you have commanders that only throws abilities every so often. You got heroes taking active part in the battles. Thus the barracks are used to improve them and their abilities and not to produce units. The heroes also has several things where you an improve them, so the major part of your work is to make them better, in order to keep winning. There is Allied cultures to but they are not permanent settlements, but they are events making especially this part way different. Alliance treasure hunt is also present, but it is with 9 different levels each with 80 battles. Especially this shows it is way more battle focused. I do miss the strategy of placing your units, but there is some harsh decisions choosing your heroes. As you need them to support each other in several ways to get success without improving them like crazy :)

@@zedryu9765 As far as I know that is in no way the intention. The games are designed to different types of players, so even though they have a lot of similarities, they'll turn down their own seperate path. The new event type in RoC I also made a video of yesterday wouldn't make much sense to put energy into if they were closing down. Other stuff will hopefully launch before X-mas to and even new ages are promised in RoC though there still is no timeline

@@AidanLynge it feels a lot like the first few steps of RoC. I guess and hopes it has more tactical/strategic depths when I get a lot more heroes. So to be honest I'm not entirely sure yet.

@@debbieshannon7911 it would depend on the battle. But usually Alexanders walls or the elephant. Occasionally a mercenary commander if it's an exceptionally tough battle. Among those I like menes or ghengis the most.

@@debbieshannon7911 Alexanders walls are a bit tricky to use. You might want to look at some of the videos with ATH 61-80, where I mainly use them and occasionally explains the whys and hows :)

I did the first of the battles with 4 commanders by accident. The rest are without and similar tactics should work also for the first presented battle.

I always have Collosus of Rhodes and Stonehenge running. When doing battles I also have Statue of Zeus and Temple of Artemis. I allied cultures I have Sphinx and Abu Simbel all the time and when doing these battles Valhalla.

That also looks good, but I don't have the miracle yet for the fourth commander. Do you think it would also work if the light infantry is on the outside on the square of the catapult and the catapult next to it?

So I've done it that way now. Above light infantry next to it set back then the archers and then again light infantry. I put the Jaguars in front of the enemy horses, the other two commanders against the enemy archers. In the second fight, I put the 8 remaining infantry all the way out again, then catapult archers again and then two light infantry. Jaguars again in front of the horses and the rest of the commanders in front of the archers. It worked great.

@@MartinZiehmer I forgot to mention that I dont do the fourth commander until after battle 60. The 2 cavalry works great. Help them with jags. Use the spartans to distract the archers as you dont have walls. Attacking from the side makes the archers attack fewer targets and stay longer focused on your spartans. Use the bulls to help then and the linked strategy works like a charm ;)

If it works at the roman empire age it should work in Iberean to :) You got an extra wonder slot, and the defenders bonusses hasn't changed... the non mercenary commanders are already here full ;) So they don't change either.

This long ago :D Probably Statue of Zeus, Temple of Artemis, Great Sphinx, Abu Simbel, Colossus of Rhodes, Stonehenge. Can't remember when you unlock the third Allied wonder slot, but I think it's Early Rome, which would leave out the option for more wonders than this :)

@@skolehaven Thanks for sharing! I am using Alambra and Great Wall instead of Sphinx and Zeus. Do you think this could make a difference? I do clear up to 79 (some with 0 soldiers), but for 80 I need healing or mercenary general.

I think it might make a difference. Not sure how big as I haven't done the math. I mean you got higher crit chance vs higher damage in general, and higher health for all vs higher attack for a single unit. But your enemies do hit pretty hard, so my gut tells me you are more likely to save a hit or 2 by increasing damage, rather than increasing health is bound to make them last longer... especially because the pirates are so buffed at the end.

Not really true. I had several reasons. First of all I had to look through 25 sets of enemies to have a guy only one age ahead of me. Didn't bother to keep looking for one of my own age any longer. Secondly, this is a case where you fight fire with fire, but I have no carcasonians of my own. as the third thing my account is built up so it aint to strong battle wise as the videos I make otherwise is supposed to be a way for everyone to handle either ATH or campaign map. The defender having 4 commanders indicates he probably has a strong set of battle wonder at his disposal. Probably emphasising on heavy units looking at his setup. So I think I could do it without mercs if I had those 3 things changed :)

I dropped 2, retrained some more and dropped another. There is no limit to this with ordinary units.

Creating this video I had the following wonders: Stonehenge, Collossus of Rhodes, Leaning tower of Pisa, Cite de Carcassonne, Great Sphinx, Abu Simbel, Terracotta Army and Dragonship Ellida.

The healing powers works best on strong units, as they got the hitpoints to stay alive long enough to get some real healing from it. Basically what goes wrong is you heal after the troops are dead and before the next ones gets hurt, and thus you gain very little from it. You can note that the heavies I heal I'm a bit late for one of them but the other 3 gets a good amount of juice.
