Longshaw's was written in 2021 after a beautiful day walking around the Peak District close to the National Trust’s Longshaw Estate. I was proud of my adventurous hiking abilities and wrote this jaunty tune to celebrate! Written and performed by Alison Rowley. I'm a folk fiddle player with a repertoire of mostly English, Scottish and Irish tunes.

Wonderful tune Alison, very jaunty indeed! I like the “off the beaten path” explorations in the B section, just like a proper hike! I’m inspired to tie my boot laces and see if there are some birdsongs to put in a tune :-)
