Should you Clip your Birds Wings?
มุมมอง 7703 ปีที่แล้ว
I have been asked so many times if you should clip your birds wings, so I finally made a video about it. Please keep in mind, I'm not trying to bash anyone who does clip, I'm more trying to educate those who don't know what to do. In my opinion, you shouldn't ever clip unless it's medical, and I go over why in the video. I hope I could help at least someone out on what to do. Like the video if ...

How to force budgies for bath in fountain . My budgies are not taking bath .
Hi! Really wanting to know if your alright you have not posted since 2 years, Are you alright?
One thing to note, if you don’t live in Australia, then this most likely won’t work, because budgies and cockatiels are native to Australia, which is why you can just go outside and find sticks for them there, but there are many woods here in the US and in other countries that are toxic to them so just please be mindful of that
Such a helpful video! Thank you!
That nice
my budgie got seizures (like 6-7 under 15 minute) yesterday (the cause is still unknown) I wanted to take him to the vets but unfortunately it was saturday afternoon an no one of the vets answered the phone no matter how many times we called them. Since yesterday he started moving around his cage a lot all night and like having these “Fright nights”. I will deffinitely take him to the vet this week but I still want to know what could I do till then. I can’t sleep either because of him. I know it’s probably something to do with his seizures because he didn’t had these night problems before.
You’re beautiful 🤩
Mine just stretches as far as he can to get the millet if he touches any skin he freaks out
Love this video - awesome tips!
If they bite, make the sound they make when they are stuck or hurt. Mine did it once. Never again.
I just got two budgies and at week two we started to learn them to lick the finger before getting a treat. One of them understood it immediately an got the treat every time. The other observed, and started with biting hard. Then I just removed the treat and not the finger, and after just 4-5 tries he also got it. Fantastic experience.
Your object you used to cut your branches is called “lopping shears”. Love your bird playground. I have a yellow nape Amazon that I’ll be making one for.-Susan
The screaming is awefull this night
Use sweet potato flour
First thing I noticed was the pan you used. It’s non stick finish. Is this Ok to use?
wow that is great! love it!!
I was just wondering what is the first thing I should do with my buggy because I got them two and of course I just wanna know what’s the first step I should take in earning their trust by the way they’re young so I don’t know whether they are a male or female please help
this is the best budgie video ever
Impressive
Hello! I got two budgies about five months ago, and I need help letting them out of the cage. They are still scared a little, and their cage is up high. They also can’t fly that well. How will I let them out and then back in?
Hello! I ,made the mistake of buying 2 parakeets at once, and they don’t really care about me. I’ve had them for about five months, and they really don’t like me. How would I train 2 birds at once?
You have done a good job
what about taming with a stick?
I think i need more help i have 4 🥲 and they mean sometimes
Hi Loui and Frank from Fudgie and Pepper!
Awesome! 👍🏻Only hair tie’s won’t work with my birds, they will destroy it in minutes.

Other peoples birds when they get a new toy: oh nice that’s cool My birds when they get a new toy: *DEMON GET AWAY*
Our's is still kind of nervous after a year and ahalf. She's ornery about being touched much just yet. She backs down to her three way mirror. She might let me stroke her a little bit, but then she ducks down to her mirror or "nibbles" my finger. Is there something more we ought to be doing by her?
I live in Colorado- I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what sticks to use or where to get some?
i have 2 budgies but theyre in seperate cges in seperate rooms......so yeah thats possible it takes longer to tame them if you get a few at once but yeah starting off with 1 or 2 and taming them first then yeah it may be easier to tame others really
I love this! Thank you for making. I was wondering do you clean the stand or branches ever? Ideally I’d like to clean thembecause they will get so dirty from bird droppings but not sure how to clean it?
Plsss never g’et ur bird a mirror its not good for the bird😢
Heres a correction too.Dont buy mirrors for budgies. This will trick them into thinking theres a mate in the cage and this can cause your budgie to be more aggressive towards you.
do not get your budgie a mirror please
It looks very solid and good for recycling. Thank you
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH ! I actually didn’t believe I could ever make something like this without spending more than 100-200 dollars and you just made me make something’s that’s probably even 10 times better ! Thanks a lot !!!
Did your bird chew through or try to chew the zip ties? I have a galah, so I'm not sure if zip ties will last.
I made something similar for my budgies and they didn’t care for the ties. If you provide toys for them they should keep them entretained.
Great video. I would like to mention that (although I might be wrong) I believe that the only reason the birds did not like to be sprayed even on the spray bottle being a mist setting. It's because you sprayed them directly. I think they might've liked it if they were sprayed from the top but not vertically. A horizontal way so the mist can just free fall on the birds.
This is so helpful. I feel I failed on day one as mine flew out the cage and I had to catch him to put him back as it was not safe. Have I ruined the trust? 🥺
You may have slowed the taming process but never be discouraged if you put in the effort you will see results I myself lost my budgie trust but after and week or 2 he calmed down
Also on day one a bird won’t trust you anyway so don’t stress too much pls I would recommend do a lot of research and tame a bird in the cage
I made one. Great fun!
Thank you this is an awesome idea!
Very cute
Super cute
