    Could you flip the rear? My 2.2 Wraith has so much torque twist. Both differentials are on the same side. I'm learning but I think having the differential on opposite sides would help... I could be wrong, I'm still learning. 😉

    Great video.been trying to figure it out for a while. May I ask why do you have to flip the rear axle upsidedown?

    • @MattButlerAL
      @MattButlerAL ปีที่แล้ว

      Because if you don't the axle will rotate in the opposite direction.

    Hey man great looking build and tons of great information. I’m wondering if you could make this truck 6 wheel steer? That’s what I’m looking to do with mine. TIA

    • @scale4x4rc57
      @scale4x4rc57 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, glad you like it. I could make it six wheel steer if I bought the additional parts to convert the rear axles to a steerable configuration. It would get a little more complicated when locating my steering servos and linkages but it could be done.

    Curious as to how well the arms would perform with a moving steering wheel?

    • @MattButlerAL
      @MattButlerAL 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are little on the stiff side. I think most people disconnect part of the elbow and use clothing to help everything move more fluidly.

    • @Wazza722
      @Wazza722 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive had a kyosho landmax since 1998 that i have abused and replaced a spur gear and shocks. You buy rc cars to abuse them, thats apart of the fun! There was no fun with the axial honcho i threw out after 6 months!

    • @jeremybreeden4228
      @jeremybreeden4228 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Wazza722 everybody has their own driving style, just because you like to ABUSE yours as you call it, that doesn't mean ABUSING a purchased rc truck/car is what everyone does. I personally drive my RC trucks hard but, I'm not intentionally running them into trees or sending them 40 feet through the air because of course they will break if that's how they are treated, any rc will break none of them are indestructible lol.

    Awesome comparison video. I was going to just buy the RTR version until I watched this video. Now I'm just going to buy the kit version because they took care of some of the bad things on the RTR. My E-Revo is fully built, so it's time for a new build. :)

    I'm still skeptical.... $80 for a kit with no electronics? 😲 And I was really hoping to see a BUILD, not, you have to drill holes for the ball links and the front ones don't look symmetrical - THEN - as you can see, the whole chassis is done! I'm honestly not trying to be a dick.... but I've found a few videos like this. I'm just trying to decide if I actually want one.

    • @scale4x4rc57
      @scale4x4rc57 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I follow what your saying but with the truck being so small it was often times hard to get each step into the frame without my head being in the way. So I figured the best way was to highlight parts of the build and give you information that would be helpful as you did your own build. I will say this; while it might not be the best build kit you can find out there, you end up with a pretty cool little truck that is surprisingly capable and quite fun.

    • @CarminesRCTipsandTricks
      @CarminesRCTipsandTricks 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand. These videos aren't the easiest to do. If I EVER have a surplus of money, I'd try one. They are actually kinda cool, and looks like fun little indoor crawler, for days when my legs don't work. But I'm a disabled Air Force Vet. I barely get enough to survive, and lately, we're going under financially. I did a Paypal.me page (like GoFundMe, without the millions of scammers). You know how many people helped? ZERO! With that, I owe you an apology. Things got really bad lately, and I never should have taken it out on this post. ~ Carmine

    Which 3 channel reciever and transmitter can I use?

    • @scale4x4rc57
      @scale4x4rc57 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any as that's really up to you. I would stick to 2.4GHz system as the receivers tend to be smaller and you don't have a lot of room in the cab.

    I bought the kit and the blinker lights are 2 inches to short but in your video you have extra wire and on the supply cable that goes from the battery to the nvs one of the ends was backwards and shorted out my battery so how come your lights are longer than mine

    • @scale4x4rc57
      @scale4x4rc57 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +xXx_A_Mello_Fello_xXx /Owen7e I couldn't tell you why mine might have been longer, but I've put two of these kits in and I don't recall one set being shorter than the other. But I also never compared them side by side but just based on the installation of each they felt the same. As for the battery lead, did you leave the tamiya plugs on it or swap them?
