Very nice fine animations, it looks amazing, very goog job. I think they aren't final, because of some bugs like at the climbing animations where the arms going through the scarf instead the scarf with the arms.

I personally dislike the animations from Defiance, they’re over the top, but the majority of commenters will probably disagree with me and that’s fine. But the work you are doing looks very impressive regardless!

This is amazing! I never thought about it but the uncharted-style climbing would suit this series so well especially since verticality has always been strong in these games
Not sure on the process but it doesnt seem terribly in character. The first vault looks clumsy as hell which really doesn't fit, and he's not an assassins creed character, he doesnt jump between ledges, those talon fingers aren't for show, hes meant to claw his way up the walls. To say nothing of the gliding. I'll give the benefit of doubt and just accept thats placeholder. If theres gonna be an overhaul that in characters stuff more and this is just, the model and basic fightery, cool its looking good, but I hope if more is coming its a little more characters unique aspects driven in animation specifics.

Please don't do that slow climbing that every Assassin's Creed and similar games do. I hate that shit and it's just wasting time. Also the vault is lower than his jumping height, so why does he slow down so much to vault?
Well I like the combat but I personally don't see raziel needing to grab onto Ledges in order to scale a wall when he has 8 inch Talons that can dig into pure Stone.

I hope we get a remake for the Legacy of Kain series one day (using all the original dialogue recordings and story). The remaster is extremely disappointing.

That climbing system is unnecessary. Raziel can just climb like Spiderman does. The rest is fantastic though.
I love how the model needs to take time to climb over the smaller ledge but full onleaps and causally rolls over the larger ledge. 😂
Gliding - Raziel uses torn wings and the glide looks more like "planned slow descent" rather than glide. This gliding looks more like Kain's. Combat - I've always thought about mishmashing both Devil May Cry combat in a way of Defiances ability combos (TK punch, blast, wolf form, glyph abuse and Reaver spell reimagining) and a Blood Omen2ish combat in a way where your accurate single hard blows will render opponent stunned and proper evasion/blocking/parrying is needed if you intend to ever best bosses.

I could care less on the matter of mechanics, let alone the gameplay, I'd suffice with the poultry one button to attack and jump buttons should we just return to Nosgoth. STILL, I'll temper my expectations and accept these glimpses at the possibilities and hold onto the bitter taste of that terrible illusion: hope
The Soul Reaver games were never really designed with gameplay in mind, rather the game was just a vehicle to tell a story. Imagine a remake of Soul Reaver with the game mechanics of Devil May Cry but still retaining the excellent storytelling and voice acting. That would be a masterpiece.

Raziels moves look a lot like Death from Darksiders. That would be a great blend for Soul Reaver to make Raziel move with that feral creature style. It would add another dimension to his character making him seem a lot more horrifying.

Instead we got the remastered boring edition I don't understand they have ready soundtrack ready voicelines ready map I don't get it . Also it would be cool if they remake blood omen but with gameplay like this one in the video
I can offer an explanation. It's been way too many years since the last game came out, so the developers and publishers need to know how much interest is there. We can consider the remasters an attempt to gauge how interested people are on a more proper return for Legacy of Kain. If the remasters are successful enough, then maybe something bigger like a remake might be possible.

@@TartarusPyro That actually sounds pretty cool, but it would probably be too much of a risk. These people always look at this stuff with profit in mind and would want to play it safe with something relatively cheaper. Still though, I wouldn't discard the chance of what you suggest, probably further down the line, but likely not soon.
@@Uacher we need blood omen with modern system it will be cool to gain new powers as you progress and we can see nosgoth with new gen graphs also all the boss fights in blood omen with GOW gameplay will be amazing

J'aime beaucoup le concept de la reaver spectral idem pour le système de combat même si ce dernier doit être peaufiner. L'animation pour planer est également à retravaillée. En revanche je ne suis pas d'accord pour les phases de parkours, on se croirait dans un Assassins creed ou plus vieux encore; Prince of persia. Si c'est un remake fan-made du premier soul reaver j'attends avec impatience de revoir l'univers de Nosgoth refait avec le moteur UE5. Merci de m'avoir lu et d'avoir pris en considération mon opinion 🤝
