Nearly every facet of psychology is evil, and the Churches have capitulated to their fear of the Western legal systems allowing it to grow into the severely damaging entity that it is today. Goodness defined by God is selflessness, making selfishness evil. Nearly all of psychology focuses entirely on the ego or the self, how do we heal you, how do we get you to deal with the trauma of the past, how do we get you to live your best life. It creates the victim mentality then claims to teach you how to overcome this victim hood yourself. When the true path to happiness through goodness is to see that there are countless people suffering more than you, let's face it if you have the ability to go to a psychiatrist you are doing pretty well compared to say the entire population of Afghanistan, and then to choose not to focus on poor you but instead to help others. This is not to mention that most of not nearly all psychiatric practices of today were created by atheists or actual Satanists, seriously do some simple research on the founders of things like sexology and you will find interesting subtle links to Aleister Crowley famous occultist who not so ironically taught the sole tenant of his religion Thelema "do what thou wilt", the ultimate expression of selfishness and focusing on the self. You don't need a psychologist, you need to quit focusing on yourself and go sit down with a homeless person and share a meal. This is the sad thing about both Catholicism and Orthodoxy, that they both focus so heavily on ritual and being absolutely literal with the Bible and barely at all on the interpretation and understanding of God's message and thereby the essence of God and Holiness. God did not want unthinking robotic followers, God wanted us to be like him in our ability to think, feel, and will. God wants us to be informed about what is right so that we might think through the options and choose the one in alignment with God, this is why Jesus spoke in parables and did not simply give commandments. Ultimately, if you are properly informed and thinking you are far more likely to choose the right thing and it is far easier to find your way back to the right thing when you stumble. The uninformed can fall prey to the demonic far more easily because they do not even know what they are doing is wrong. If you simply robotically follow the instructions of your church and doubt crosses your mind you are ill equipped to find your way back to the holy when you start reasoning why you should or shouldn't be doing something because no one likes the excuse "because I said so". That excuse can only work when the individual receiving it views the issuer as an absolute authority, and there is only one absolute authority, God, not the church. So it becomes the churches' obligations to inform everyone of what God's will is, how to think about it, and how to put it into action. Fortunately the essence and will of God is extremely simple, God is love and love is serving each other selflessly. If you examine every action, every Commandment, every parable they all say the same thing, love and love is service to the best interests of others. This is confirmed by what is evil and demonic from the first sin by Lucifer to the every day sin we all commit, and what is evil must logically be the antithesis of what is good, so if every sin is examined to its core essence they are all done out of selfishness. This is the eternal simple dichotomy: God vs sin, selflessness vs selfishness. So to follow God and Christ, the ultimate example of love, you simply must analyze your choices and choose to serve the best interests of others. Jesus set the example by choosing to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and explicitly pointed out this was the dichotomy when he said "there can be no greater love than this, to give one's life for his friends". No greater service or example of selflessness than to give one's life for his friends, but this does not mean to go out and die but to go out and choose to serve in life.
