How did you get the tailgate lights off?

My Daddy just passed away on Father's Day in 2022. He has a 1955 Chevy similar to this that he had for 30 years and never got a chance to restore it. I would love it if you guys could restore his.

Nice job! I have only one issue with it, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the wood beds come from the factory painted black? It's a common mistake in old Chevy truck restorations because, in the modern era, everybody loves that natural wood finish. Back then, all they cared about was whether or not the truck could do its work.

Learned to drive on just such a truck. 1959 Chevy Fleetside, three on the tree. You and yours did a very nice restoration. Enjoyed the rebuild.
