Plain old Cars: 1988 Ford Bronco
Another addition to our Plain Old Cars series, a somewhat rare brick nose bronco with a fuel injected 300 and a five speed manual transmission to back it all up. This has been a joy for us to drive around, and we just wanted to share it with all of you!

Plain Old Cars: 1962 Volkswagen Beetle
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
Another Whiteman Motors Special! This gem comes to the Pacific Northwest from Central Montana and is a true survivor car. A well preserved gem from the early 60's, this is a time warp back to the simpler days of air cooled cars and minimal wiring. #vintagevw #vintagevolkswagen #vwbug #vwbeetle

How To: 2004 to 2006 Mercedes Sprinter Cylinder Head Removal
มุมมอง 8Kปีที่แล้ว
Here is a somewhat brief walk through of removing a cylinder head off of a om647 engine. The engine overheated and blew the head gasket. I'm sure there's a few steps that others will be keen to point out, but these are the steps I took to remove the head. Plain Old Cars: 1973 Volkswagen Thing
มุมมอง 2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The third car in our Plain Old Car Series is our 1973 VW Thing, also known as the Type 181. Originally designed as an off-road vehicle for the German military during WW2 and called the Kubelwagen, the Thing was sold in the United States only during 1973 and 1974. Bare and Basic, everyone recognizes a Thing when they see it! Check out the #whiteman_motors Instagram for updates and upcoming build...

How To: Adding a Meter to a Rotary Drum Pump
มุมมอง 1242 ปีที่แล้ว
I didn't want to spend $300 for an electric pump with a meter. my solution is to take a rotary drum pump, and attach a standard meter to it. Total cost of parts was less than $100. Link for Meter: a.co/d/av2ChpB #drum_pump #oil_pump #rotary_pump

The first of our Plain Old Cars Series, a #whiteman_motors original, by the originator himself, here is a walk through of a 1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe. This was one of the last cars to be produced prior to the war effort, making this car 80 years old this year, in 2021.
Motorhome Build Days 1 through 4 recap
มุมมอง 1523 ปีที่แล้ว
I've started a series that talks about what I'm going through repairing and remodeling my 2005 Gulfstream Endura motorhome with the Chevy Kodiak C5500 chassis. The best part about this motorhome is the chassis, as it has the LLY Duramax and Allison Transmission. Days 1 through 4 are pretty much removal of the rot and broken pieces, as well as what to look out for.
Motorhome Build Start Video
มุมมอง 1513 ปีที่แล้ว
This details the start of the Gulfstream Endura Chevy C5500 Motorhome build. I briefly mention how I ended up with the Endura, why I picked it, and some of the upcoming plans. This motorhome is what is known as a 'Super C', which is a Class C motorhome on a 2 ton truck chassis, which in this case is a Chevy Kodiak with the Duramax diesel and Allison Transmission. Check out the build on the Whit...
Had my 67 restored 35 years ago original floor pan execpt the place where the battery sits change the faded blue to brite yellow painted wheels yellow and put 3 in.wide white wall non radial tires on not letting this one go 👍
Thanks for the weld tip. I was 2 months in with the loose bolt method and #1 and #2 wouldn't pop. I opted to not try and re-use the injectors and luckily found some used ones from a mechanic friend. Long story short, #1 came out beautifully with the puller, but #2's ID threads all stripped out on me. Had to weld on the puller bolt itself. After cracking the weld once, I made sure to get better penetration into the injector itself and it held allowing me to start the extraction. The weld held so well, in fact, that the threads of the bolt stripped before the entire removal process was complete. Luckily I had purchased a pneumatic pull hammer and it had an attachment to match the welded bolt. So I cut the bolt off under the stripped portion, threaded on the pneumatic puller and viola, exit from boredom. Now she's all cleaned up and ready for install. I see lots of mismatching info on the forum and other videos about which orientation to use for the injector seals. Would appreciate your input. Thanks again for the vid.
Sir, that's a good looking Beetle. What a treaaure! Thanks for sharing.
By the way I have a '60 and it doesn't do that wandering thing at all, any speed. I've even had it to a hair under 74 MPH according to my RaceBox.
You are a wealth of information about these cars. Are you on the Samba site?
What the sweetie and beautiful VW beetle ! Sounds so sweet and running well !
That wasa my first car,,, 1960 VW,,,gold lolour.
Does your 28PCI ice up or condense water on the intake?
It’s very much a simple job if your lucky. I’m not lucky
Nice car
I miss mine. It was my first car, I bought myself. Wish I had one today.
Looks like a broken hold down bolt to me
A red ‘67 Beetle was one of the stars of the movie “Bye Bye Braverman”.
Undo the injector clamp a few turns leve in place then drive it will pop , I've tried everything and it works 🇬🇧 30 years in the trade .
The color of your bug is "Gulf Blue." Back in the day, I had 4 early '60s bugs, including 2 sunroof '62s.
I love the 300-six. I have an 80 and an 89. Really want a Bronco with the 300 but want an automatic. Yours is great just like it is. Let us know if you make any more improvements.
So well maintained, a sight for sore eyes, well done Sir and thanks for sharing this....
My very first car (a 1962 Beetle purchased in 1969) was virtually identical to this one except mine had a large fabric sunroof…otherwise mine was identical to this one, including the interior and exterior colors.
I want one. I really do nothing beats the classics
Thanks for the video. I was trying to figure out how to paint the wheels on my 2nd gen type 3. I'll go with this black on white for my original blue car.
Awesome cars and how I wish I could have owned a car like this one
That was my First car -- Red 1967 VW Beetle..!!! Loved that car!!
I had a 1967 VW Bug it was original it was my graduation gift in 1985 n my dad n I found it and paid 1450 I wish I still had it😢
I got an M17X1.0 bolt, and welded a chain loop on it. Remove the injector cap, thread the bolt into the top of the injector, then use my cherry picker to lift on the injector, untill the suspension unloads, slightly. A mixture of acetone 70% and ATF 30%, and let is sit.
Not original engine should be dual port with no air outlets on the fan housing it's been swapped
My first car in 1976 was a light blue VW Beetle 1960 model. Top speed 69 miles per hour. Took the bumper bars off one day and top speed increased to 72 mph. No fuel gage. Cost me $80 including several months registration. Head lights were pathetic. Great driving in forest in rough tracks. 1100cc motor. onwed it 12 months til I rear ended a much bigger car! next car was a 1966 1300cc Beetle. Then a 1969 Type 3 station wagon. Then had no car for 5 years and rode my BMW R100RT motorcycle instead. Loved driving my Beetle!
Everyone says this tool and that tool.loisen your clamping bolt and run it until the injector leaks then slide it out.thank me later
That’s the color of my ‘66. Beautiful car until it caught on fire. :(
What a boring man. Thank God at 69 I pass for 52ish which relates to 40/50's somethings that aren't dull..
Thx Sir for the video.
Well I got All 'The HARD Stuff' completed (on MY 62' SR.. (I JUST HAFTA' PUT IT 'ALL' BACK TOGETHER NOW!!).. 'Back in The Day'.. I coulda' put a 40-HP Engine together IN THE DARK.. (I don't think My Skills.. 'or My Back' are in That Great a Shape Anymore!!)..
A PLASTIC inline fuel filter inside the engine compartment of a hot air-cooled engine? You are just asking for an engine fire!!
Get your plastic fuel filter out of the engine compartment! Wire tie the hose to a screw on the top of the carb. It's the brass fitting that presses into the carburetor that will fall out.
Wonderful presentation and car! Thanks!
I have often said what is asinine know things with our automobiles roads volks we need smaller cars same inside roomles powerful motors smaller size ones motors mucho respect for us all how sad low brains stupity it is only skin color and other things religions this is all so mucho senseless gracias everyone
I want to know as seen on a photo from this iPad I have showing the 2010 year vw Routan van on the left other on right side when I go to auto dealers call vw in Michigan costumer care they donot know what I am talking about I know it is true I had my one on the of photo owned a short time from a scum car dealership
My one of two 1971 type 3s square backs mini stations was with engine removed then no more fuel injectors were removed replaced with dual carbore raters spelling 28 miles per gallon ran somewhat cooler than injectors was simple to work on not todays newer automobiles
Thanks for your presentation is wonderfull.
1st car in '75 was a nice '64. 500 bucks. 40 yrs later, got another '64 sunroof. Top speed, 72. Just like the owners manual says. Manual also says 2 passengers, 55 mph = 30 mpg. That is correct !! '64 last year of small windows, which I think look cool.
Beautiful survivor '41 PLYMOUTH SPECIAI DELUXE four door sedan. I recently purchased one very similar to yours in the same rare color which was called 'West Point Gold', color code 803. Mine has a radio (currently not working) but does not have the second heater nor the wheel beauty rings.

the only thing I would consider maybe doing was seeing if a slant 6 or a 273maybe a 318 would drop in it but no its fine the way it is.
Only a complete moron could kill a Volkswagen engine.
at 1:09 as a kenworth mechanic instead of heating up the bolts, i wouldve just applied a 1/2 milwaukee high torque and sent er bud.
The blue one 😍
😍
The '67 Beetles are something very special! I own an early 1967 Volkswagen Beetle 1300, which still has 100% of its first paintwork. It has never been welded and of course the first engine and gearbox are still installed. The interior is also still original and in remarkable condition. Simply a wonderful car! If you're interested, I have a few videos on my channel. Regards
I know someone who has one, they installed a newer motor, still has the original motor if someone is looking for the motor.
Had a 67 here in the UK, same colour as well. Loved that car and wish I’d never sold it. Yours looks great, I hope you enjoy it 👍
I had a green 1303 beetle n reg wish I had kept it,it was mint
