Marshal Tucker Band. The best southern rock and roll, blues , jazz , country band ever.
I WAS there. It was an unforgettable night of fun and music. Went to jams II through 10 before the us Navy occupied me for six years. 😊
I LOVE this song!!
Todays country is a joke. I wouldnt pay abdime to listen to their shit!
I love all southern rock. M.T.B LYNARD SKYNYRD ARE MY FAVORITES. ALMOND BROTHERS
Toy Caldwell and Dickie Betts swaping licks. How much better can it get.
A very young Jimmy Hall on harp. What an incredible assembly of musicians. It aint a party till Jimmy shows up.
Tommy’s a beast. Guy was phenomenal.
Mr Caldwell, Daniels, Betts etc etc.......Outstanding piece of video!! at 60 having grown up as this transpired with a stereo, guitar in my hand and headphones in my room at night......No wondrr all we dreamt of was being stars!!!
Charlie loved playing with these guys
I was literally feet away from it, a magic moment in time.
Too bad we didn’t get to hear the rest of The Thrill is Gone!!
I really hate when someone puts up a badly pirated piece.
My first taste of 'Southern Rock' was CDB opening for Marshall Tucker. I never got it out of my system. 😊
Saw them at Winterland around this time, they opened with Hillbilly Band, it blew me away! I thought “ where the hell has this music been my whole life!!” ☮️
An incredible magical ,southern jam!
what a monster!!! unbelievable - ben monster harper! unique experience!!
The band showed their stuff that night. Toy and Tommy stood out. Of course the rest of the band was rocking too.
damn!...Doug Gray hit some NOTES!!!
FEEEL THE same Way
I live about 3 miles from the graves of Toy and Tommy Caldwell. I go and pay my respects regularly. I put a video on TH-cam how to find each of their graves if you're ever in the Spartanburg South Carolina area.
Some of the greatest 🎸 pickings you will ever hear absolutely 💕❤️💕💙
Whoa-ho! Never heard much MTD. I did have 'Fire On The Mountain. More into Allmans and Charlie Daniels. Seriously Southern Out The Yippy-Yahoo-YeeHah!
I was there!!! CHOCOLATE Mescaline!!!
Looks like Toy taking them all to school. I know Dickey to be the the " Great One", from the great ABB, but here, he seems uninterested and a little off. Even ol man Daniels is ripping it. Oh well, we all have good and bad days.RIP to D. Betts, my favorite Southern rock guitarist.
Monster musicians. All of them.
MTB is one of my favorites. Talented musicians but Toy was my favorite. Great writer and greater guitarist
Thank you, Lord, for the ABB, the MTB and the CDB. Indescribably delicious Southern Jam and Toast!
12.34 well spent. What a band, so good.
Hard to believe I saw this tour. CDB, MTB opened for ZZ Top Fandango tour. Unforgettable 👍
Missing Toy, Tommy, Charlie, George RIP
three quarters of the bands or musicians today couldn't function without todays technology. this was an awesome time to be alive.
Another band I am HONORED to have seen live. ❤
@ Jack Not sure what you mean. Lynyrd Skynyrd starts with an L. And there is no A anywhere in Lynyrd Skynyrd.
When the America peaked..been downhill since these times..Praise you Jesus for all my fine family on this stage..😊
We were trying to scalp tickets outside the stadium in the ice cold Chicago winter. The MTB bus was there, and they invited both me and my sister on the bus, great guys, real gentlemen. We were short a ticket so they let my sister sit just off the stage to view the show.... True story.
The best road trip music ever ! Fill her up and drive to MTB baby!
Chicken Pickin!
Enoree River music
400 hp and a highway
Wore out the LP album within this performance. Surprised when decades later a DVD came out.
Totally love these guys, wish I could relive the seventies, camp in Austin Texas and listen to Marshall Tucker, the Allman Brothers , thanks for the memories, Clyde from Houston
Caldwell boys and those thumbs of steel
Real music! ❤
I can say I was there......Lived in Hendersonville, about 15 miles out of Nashville...."The Jam" was the highlight of concerts there. About anyone tied to Southern Rock would show up...the '24hrs At A Time" live version with Charlie on Fiddle is second to none...he made several guest appearances all over when Marshall Tucker played...it was very special...
WOW!! I LOVE THIS BAND! IM 70, I REAMEMBER MARSHAL ,Way back in the 70s. NEVER ever got to see them in concert. WOW!, THANKS SO MUC FOR CLIP! MAN, THEY ARE REALLY GREAT!
Seen them live in 1977 they were outstanding, a very very tight band.
Excellent! ❤❤❤
That thumb, Toy isn't the only person who played with a style like this. It is rare but this came to be simply because of the times. People were taught to play with thumb picks back then if any picks at all. Most move to picks and use a combination of pick and fingers. Very rare for a lead guitarist to play in this style. Especially with the speed and accuracy of Toy. Caldwell.
We had a damn good time with this!
