It’s fine for the most part…the first 10-12 episodes are so boring to me. Though it picks up later on.

I personally wasn't much of a fan... it didn't really feel like lupin :/ Like someone else said, it's quite boring. Jigen, Goe, Fujiko, and Zeni have nothing to do. They're just there for solidarity's sake. They dump a lot of attention on side characters outside of the main 5 despite those new characters not being very interesting personality-wise. It makes it a slog to watch. Of the newest stuff, zero is much more fun and balanced, and isn't trying to be overly intelligent like pt 6, I guess. I recommend that!

@@tackyoptic I'm glad to see that Lupin Zero seems pretty good!!! To be honest I was a bit nervous even after seeing the trailer (which I LOVED), I'm looking forward to watching it sometime.

@Kass McCullough same here - I was on the fence about how having young jigen would work out, but I was pleasantly surprised by how wholesome it turned out to be :D it's a good watch, definitely worth the wait!

Part 6 was just bad. Bad writing, some moments of outright horrible animation, cgi cars, etc. Episode 0 and the Jigen eps are all that’s worth watching

That is indeed Meredith McCoy as Fujiko. She was also Maria Ross in FMA.

(That and the part where she is a captive in a plane without pants, and escapes and just kicks all the ass while going commando! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! <3)

I always assumed the organization had to do with Mamo considering Hawk was essentially a modified clone of the original Hawk that got nuked. Plus we basically get to see Mamo watching them at the end of Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone

I just finished watching part 2 and it took wayyy longer than I expected I would finish. But the start of episode 151 had me smile so hard cause fujiko and lupin were actually dancing together. it was SO CUTE 😭

I don't really think so, since Yael's return here was more like build up rather than a conclusion, not to mention Mamo's appereance in Jigen's Gravestone set up the fact that he probably is up to something that up until this point has not been addressed, also take the fact that Zenigata and Lupin himself don't have OVA's but it seems wierd that we haven't got anything since Fujiko's Lies, and seeing Takeshi Koike's twitter despite not being very active he sure didin't forget about his Lupin works

Same. It's not horrible, but its kind of annoying that TMS split up the OVA and TV licenses. I would have preferred if they stuck with the Geneon/Discotek casts for everything. At least Michelle Ruff and Richard Epcar made it into these dubs.

@@deadturret4049 They didn't really. The Koike movies are apparently supposed to be some type of alternate continuity/timeline. Mostly everything else Lupin does use the same cast we know and love, especially since TMS's American arm has taken over direct production of the dubs. Basically, the Geneon cast is unofficially the "official" dub cast. And Cristina Valenzuela is actually voicing Fujiko for these OVAs (although I don't blame you for thinking it's Michelle, as she does a dead-on impression). However, Lex Lang does come back in "Goemon's Bloodspray." Which does beg your original question: If you're going to have the OG cast involved anyway, why not just have them in their roles?

@@christianyoung1383 I feel like they don't trust Tony Oliver with a more sexy/dark version of Lupin. I personally completely disagree, Tony can pull off more serious moments just fine. But even so, I would have preferred if they stuck with the mixed Geneon/FUNimation cast of TWCFM, I think Sonny Strait did a great job as a "sexier" sounding Lupin. Not that I really have an issue with Keith Silverstein, I just think this is very unnecessary.

@JC_Ride Absolutely. Even with TWCFM, while the Funimation cast is better than I thought, I still thought they should have kept the Geneon cast. Lex better captures Goemon's personality than Mike McFarland does, and I have long said that Doug Erholtz can pull off a serious Zenigata just fine. An interesting thing about the dub for Fujiko's Lie is that the voice director was none other than Tony himself. I can kind of see keeping Silverstein in the role for this though, for consistency within the Koike installments. Plus, Tony stated in a podcast one time that he would prefer to not direct himself (although he did with Goodbye Partner and the first half of Part 6).

Sonny Strait doesn't exercise a lot of range, it feels like. Granted, I've only heard him in Lupin, DB, and FMA. I will say that his Lupin voice sounds _somewhat_ different, it lands between his Krillin voice and his Maes Hughes voice, but the degrees of variance between them aren't exactly huge to begin with.
