It depends what type of rethym is playing.
Can’t play fast with a thick pick. That’s just me though.
A pro who doesn’t know CAGED? Sounds like BS
Bro, where my medium dudes at? Best of both worlds amiright?
Jazz 3 gators for my tone
I mean that's nice and all, I just don't like how thick picks feel to play vs thinner picks.
I used to drown my vocals in reverb. Made me sound decent. 😅
Yes, a good teacher you had.
Any preference is valid - but I promise if you get used to a jazz iii shape, you will never want to go back
I use triads + 7 and inversions in the 3 string sets...4 different voicings of the same chord on all string sets.
Thanks for your books. Been shedding it every night before bed and it’s been really great connecting the chords with arpeggios I’ve been working on as well.
What does RAD stand for, please?
RAD = radical, a positive thing, it's slang for very very awesome!
You know he's probably a Swifty.
Ultex Jazz iii's
First off who the hell holds a pic like that second off depending on what you do and what your style is will determine your pic of use I prefer a thic small stubby but thats because they work great for speed an pinch harmonics Thins id probably use for strumming styles so rhythm guitar or so on But thats my preference
I use a 9mm thick pick
You are good by Christ for Nation?
Very informative thank you. When adjust the EQ which points do you choose? In Garageband there are different colors for each frequency. I noticed that it appears you're adjust the first and the last one. Is that correct?
Or you can call it chicken beef pork or sour cream whatever sound matches that object is what you play
It's all about preference, like not wearing socks in yoyr shoes is.
I hate when guitar youtubers use effects in their examples. It's like 95% at this point
SRV loved this technique
Is this your clean tone or do you have an overdrive engaged ?
This content is always gold!
I want these books! Do they come in digital form too?
I have your books!
This dude rules.
When I see guitar players doing something differently than I do it I have no inclination to try to get them to do it the way I do.
Love the thin sound a thin pick gives. I think it sounds cool on both electric and acoustic
I use a bass pick on my guitar
A thin one will basicly act like a Natural compression. Its usefull depending on what you play. On acoustic Instruments it can also additional act as a kind of percussive layer in top of the compressed strings which sounds great. Good example woud be looking at alot of great strumming recordings or the live Version of freedom on woodstock69
😂😂😂 learn to hold the pick properly...ffs🙄 not that girly grip you demonstrating...moron! 😎
5 forms per octave, and a chord and a scale and or arpeggio assigned to each of the 5 positions/forms,, In every key signature, then practice them all through the circle of fifths so you can remove all open chords from your vision. Then do it with every key formula from C major whole tone scales, M7 Min7 then the 9's 11's 13's (or snonnies name them the 2, 4, etc LOL) All the way fown the endless road to my favorite! Min7b5#9
I’ve been using a 1.55 mm pick professionally for years and now I can’t go back
Goddamn, that's thick!
There's no secret. Just do the work. Everyone who claims to have a secret is a charlatan.
More cowbell always helps
no minor then?
5 forms per octave, and a chord and a scale and or arpeggio assigned to each of the 5 positions/forms up the neck every couple And In every formula, then practice them all through the circle of fifths so you can remove all open chords from your vision. Then do it with every key formula from C major playing a whole tone scale or Maj 7 arpeggio, Min7 then the 9's 11's 13's All the way down the endless road to my favorite! Min7b5#9 Jazz shit I never play LOL I see patterns with my eyes closed when sleepwalking. The Doc said its Ocular Tinnitus. LMAO, but after learning all that BS I still find myself channeling Page, Schenker, Van Halen, Blackmore, Uli Roth, Malmsteen, Chet Atkins, Beck, Vai, Satriani, and Schon, Santana, I doesn't sound like any of them however.
@@ChrisMichaelsChicago I think I'll stick to my cowboy chords.
@rickfowler3710 the 3 minor cowboy chords can be moved up the neck, Em, Am, Dm. However any of the major chord shapes you can drop the major 3rd down to a minor. May not always be convenient or practical in each moment. But remember you don't have to play all strings. You could play a Bm chord as XX977X for example, rather than play the full 799777. It's like you learn these shapes as full barre chords but most of the time you just uses pieces of them
Maybe its just me, but sweep picking, alternate picking and just normal strumming are all genuinely like 2x easier with a thin pick.
Won't work for all solos yeah. Think the single note cuts through more. I guess it depends what tone you want
When I see a guy holding a pick like that, I look around for his boyfriend.
I use thin picks with my electric 12-string, but small thick jazz picks for everything else.
Dont fancy it😅
GREAT IDEA!!
Just turn the gain to 11
This is actually awesome. Thanks for the tip.
Sounds the same
How the fuck do you strum, thats a weak position
We know how to use a whammy bar son. Don't assume we are all idiots just cause you are a decent fiddler.
