Boasting of Christ - Ian Thomas
"God forbid that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world. " (Gal 6:14)
Major Ian Thomas (1914-2007) served the living Lord Jesus with all his life. Even in his 90s he was teaching, preaching and spoke personally to his many visitors over a cup of tea. He completed his latest book The Indwelling Life of Christ at 92 and went to be with His Lord on Wednesday 1st August 2007 and is still enjoying the adventure of sharing Christ's life, not with the earthly place that he dwelt but now "living with the Saviour all the day long" for eternity.

The key is what the speaker said...we assumed it to be Sunday.. the Apostles never said the Sabbath is now the 1st Day...The One True God does not change... man does the changing...just like saying "God the Son" instead of "Son of God"...and "God the Holy Spirit" instead of "Holy Spirit" or "Spirit of God" or "Spirit of Christ"....all 10 commandments are still relevant as what our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5: 17-20

Nope. Wrong. The SDA faith and beliefs are the most Bible-centred and based Christian ones in the entire earth - and all of this is prophesied in God's Holy Word also. Did you know that the first disciples were also branded as a cult, or sect, and this is recorded in the Bible? See for instance where the first disciples (Peter, John, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Paul, Andrew, Simon etc) were called a cult also! "Sect", actually, but it means the same thing of course. See Acts 54:5, where a Jewish leader and a politician of the time are describing Paul and ALL the apostles as belonging to "that Nazarene SECT", for instance! Also, Acts 28:22, where others are speaking of Christ's disciples: "But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this SECT, we know that every where it is spoken against." Same old false accusations, same old prejudices, same old ignorance against true Christians as always - and obviously, true, converted Seventh Day Adventists are therefore in the BEST company they could ever be associated with: not only the very first, true Christian church (the disciples) but Christ Himself, Who formed that group, the first true church who followed Him, and not the established but disobedient church organisation, which had seriously apostatised. I believe you need to thoroughly study the subject of 'apostate Christianity' and who constitutes 'Babylon' by doing faithful SDA studies on these subjects - for it is not simply any bigoted viewpoint - it is CLEARLY what God Himself says, once again, in His Word! There is no space in these comments for a study of this length - I recommend studying on sites (on TH-cam) such as Truth Triuimphant, Gilead Ministries (a.k.a. Free Association of Seventh-day Adventists). There are others but the pure SDA message comes from very few sites these tragic days. This is vital information for ANY Christian. The true and faithful SDA position, I emphasise, is not simply a singular 'denominational' or merely 'critical' one: it is based ENTIRELY on what scripture says, and you can only realise this, by putting aside prejudices and misconceptions and studying the Word with an open and humble attitude. You also should be informed that John Wesley and even Martin Luther (and all the earlier Protestant reformers) totally agreed with God's Word on this subject as to just who 'Babylon' in the books of Revelation represent, apart from other earlier Protestant churches - it's just that unfortunately, tragically, Protestant Christianity today has lost its moorings and sight of this unbelievably important teaching and warnings against remaining involved with 'Babylon'! Most tragic of all is the fact that the General Conference of SDAs has also lost its moorings and mostly (but thankfully not all) drifted from its position of trust received from God Himself. Of course, as the Bible clearly tells us also, being in an apostate position is EXTREMELY serious - it specifically means having departed from the Truth of God's Word, and if individuals and churches don't repent of their apostasy and return to the Truth as found in God's Word they will be eternally lost. That, again, is simply what the Bible says.

Swedenborgs writings are convincing, but they contradict the Bible. The Bible says there is neither male nor female, Jew nor Greek, free nor space in heaven and that there is no marriage or giving in marriage in heaven. And that what no eye has seen and no ear has heard and what no mind has conceived is what God had planned for us in heaven. Swedenborg says there is masters and servants and male and female and marriage in heaven. And if the people in heaven and hell come from the people on earth, what were the nephilim? When the sons of God slept with the daughters of men and produced nephilim?

Some of the Physical Tests of a Prophet There are also what might be called physical and spiritual tests of the prophet of God. In these paragraphs those of a more physical nature will be considered. Looking through the records of the past, and especially the writings of the Bible prophets concerning the work and experience of God's holy servants, we find here and there certain characteristics of the prophet of the Lord when in vision. We have already observed that some of these messengers of the Most High had such visions in the public assembly or in their own homes while others were around them, but there are other distinguishing marks that we shall notice. When a prophet actually goes into vision, and while he is in vision, the following features should be observed: 1. He Loses All His Natural StrengthBSPC 133Daniel's testimony concerning this particular feature of his experience is given in the following expressions: "There remained no strength in me." Daniel 10:8. "1 retained no strength." Verse 8. "I have retained no strength." Verse 16. "There remained no strength in me." Verse 17. Having been deprived of his strength, Daniel would naturally fall, perhaps gently, to the ground. This is evidently what happened, for in verse 9 we find him "in a deep sleep" with his "face toward the ground." Then, he said, an angelic "hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands." Verse 10. The margin of the Revised translation gives the wording, "He set me tottering upon my knees." This condition characterized Balaam also, for we read in entering a vision that he "saw the vision of the Almighty, falling." Numbers 24:4. The text in the Authorized Version reads "falling into a trance," but it will be observed that the words "in a trance" are supplied and hence not in the original text. The thought is that of actually falling to the ground, and it is expressed by Rotherham as he "falls down"; Goodspeed as "prostrate"; the Douay as "falls." The same thing happened to Saul, afterward called Paul, in the vision on the road to Damascus. Though the record does not say he fell to the earth, it does say that "Saul arose from the earth." (Acts 9:8.) A good statement concerning this physical condition as found in one of the Jewish writings is as follows: "All the time when they had the prophetic experience, their limbs trembled, their physical strength failed them, their thoughts became confused; and the mind was left free to comprehend the vision it saw."-MAIMONIDES, The Mishneh Torah (known as the Yad Hachazakah), Book I. Edited and translated by Moses Hyamson (New York: Bloch, 1937), p. 42b. 2. He Is Supernaturally StrengthenedBSPC 133In Daniel's further testimony as to what happened to him in vision, he tells us what the angel did after he lost his natural strength: "He strengthened me." Daniel 10:18. "I was strengthened." Verse 19. "Thou has strengthened me." Verse 19. "Be strong, yea, be strong." Verse 19. In making His servants the prophets fit channels for the transmission of the divine message, God deprives them of everything that might indicate human strength and power; then He Himself empowers them with His own strength, and so the more effectively can He use them as He desires. 3. He Has His Eyes OpenBSPC 134This is expressed twice in recording the experience of the prophet Balaam: "Whose eyes are open." Numbers 24:1 "Having his eyes open." Verse 4. This undoubtedly refers to the spiritual as well as the physical sight; both are open. 4. He Does Not BreatheBSPC 134This is an unusual physical characteristic of the prophet, and Daniel in his prophecy referred to this when he said, "Neither is there breath left in me." Daniel 10:17. It seems that there can be very little dispute as to the wording of this text, for practically all the translations agree with the thought expressed in the foregoing text. The Douay Version gives, "moreover my breath is stopped." We are here face to face with a remarkable phenomenon, that of a man speaking and moving as the prophet did in vision, and yet with no breath in his body. We need not, however, be surprised at this; for after all, God can just as well keep a man alive without breathing as He could with breathing. This was one of the miracles wrought when the prophets of God had these "open" visions. So different were the prophets of God from the false prophets of their day. The impostors might go into a trance and be possessed of evil spirits, but the prophet of the Lord, when in vision, was a constant miracle of the wonder-working power of the mighty God of Israel. And as such he was possessed of the Divine Spirit speaking the message of God in and through him. 5. He Speaks Without BreathingBSPC 134This is listed here in this connection, but the matter has already been dealt with in the foregoing paragraph. 6. His Tongue Is Controlled by the LordBSPC 134Because the Lord has strengthened the prophet and empowered him with His own Spirit, naturally it is God who speaks through him. David declared, "The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue." 2 Samuel 23:2. In the light of this consideration the expression in 2 Timothy has particular force and cogency. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God." 2 Timothy 3:16. Rotherham renders this, "Every Scripture is God-breathed." How significant! The prophet loses all natural strength; he is supernaturally strengthened. He ceases to breathe, yet God breathes through him. So the messages that come are "God-breathed." God takes the human vehicle and through him breathes his own message to men. 7. He Is Unconscious of His SurroundingsBSPC 135One might conclude that the prophet, in ecstatic vision, would be unconscious of his surroundings. Notice how the apostle Paul describes his own condition when in vision: "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body I cannot tell: God knows;) how that he was caught up into paradise." 2 Corinthians 12:2-4. As to the manifestation of these characteristics in the experience of Mrs. E. G. White in her earlier visions, note the following testimonies. One of the most comprehensive descriptions of her in vision is that given by James White, in 1868: "Her condition in vision may be described as follows: "1. She is utterly unconscious of everything transpiring around her, as has been proved by the most rigid tests, but views herself as removed from this world, and in the presence of heavenly beings. "2. She does not breathe. During the entire period of her continuance in vision, which has at different times ranged from fifteen minutes to three hours, there is no breath, as has been repeatedly proved by pressing upon the chest, and by closing the mouth and nostrils. "3. Immediately on entering vision, her muscles become rigid, and joints fixed, so far as any external force can influence them. At the same time her movements and gestures, which are frequent, are free and graceful, and cannot be hindered nor controlled by the strongest person. "4. On coming out of vision, whether in the day-time or a well lighted room at night, all is total darkness. Her power to distinguish even the most brilliant objects, held within a few inches of the eyes, returns but gradually, sometimes not being fully established for three hours. This has continued for the past twenty years; yet her eyesight is not in the least impaired, few persons having better than she now possesses. "She has probably had, during the past twenty-three years, between one and two hundred visions. These have been given under almost every variety of circumstance, yet maintaining a wonderful similarity; the most apparent change being, that of late years they have grown less frequent, but more comprehensive. She has been taken off in vision most frequently when bowed in prayer. Several times, while earnestly addressing the congregation, unexpectedly to herself and to all around her, she has been instantly prostrated in vision."-James White, Life Incidents in Connection With the Great Advent Movement, pp. 272, 273. F. M. Wilcox has well expressed the matter as follows: "The physical manifestations in many of her visions correspond to the experience of the prophets of old. We refer to the physical manifestations under which many of these visions were given, similar to the experience of Daniel and other prophets of the Old Testament. "We do not, however, regard these physical manifestations as the principal convincing evidences of the divine call to Mrs. White. Rather, they constitute subsidiary or contributing evidences. The great proof of her call to divine ministry was shown in the answer of her work to prophetic prediction; in the spirit which characterized her ministry throughout the years. In the correspondence of her teachings to those of the Bible. In the marked manner in which she was used of God to save His church in many crises. And by the fruit her ministry bore through all the years of her earthly life and which is still appearing as a result of her labors."-The Review and Herald, January 19, 1950. BSPC 132.6 - BSPC 136.4

Keeping your alms giving private is something a true alms giver will eventually have to do. If everyone knows you will give double what they ask for, you will soon have nothing. You might think well I'll just say I've given enough, go away. That's what the wealthy do. They give a small percentage of their wealth. Jesus tells us not to rest on our laurels. We can't say I've done enough. If you do the alms giving your light will shine. The church will be overflowing so bad the people outside the church who can't get in due to the crowd will not be able to hear the sermon.

It’s crazy how few people have criticized Swedenborgian esotericism. What’s even more crazy is how many people actually believe it.

The evil 😈 of this world 🌎 always tell you in messages what they plan for the world 🌎. Like the Simpson's predictions that seem to be coming to pass .Like it was all programmed to happen. THE Devil thinks he is god and wants to be God and does the opposite to God .jesus christ who doesn't want anyone to perish. HAS Freewill to choose who ever he has mercy on. And being a God of ❤️ he has to warn ⚠️ you so you can repent. And seek forgiveness salvation grace 👑. AND noah tried for 120 years thats along time. And God has wanted his word spread across the 4 corners of the Earth 🌎 and there is millions of Christians ✝️ warning ⚠️ people alot more than Noah because jesus christ doesn't want anyone perish. And people are going around as if they haven't heard his messages and just ignoring it .Thinking they are going to live forever. HE LL means a separation of God. SOME people think Earth 🌎 is hell and we have a Firmament over the Earth 🌎 And Elon musk tried to break the Firmament with his rocket 🚀 and couldn't. THE only way out of here is jesus christ the Truth the life .You Have Freewill and in charge of your own destiny. BUT if you choose the Devil 😈 and end up in Hell. Just remember you were warned ⚠️ and warned ⚠️ and jesus christ weeps john I1 .35 because he died to save our.sins and loves all his children ❤Seek jesus christ today now .You wont be sorry. JESUS CHRIST doesn't cost anything to worship him .Just Faith as small as a mustard seed .That can grow as big as a 🌳 And a bible. Churches ⛪️ were originally formed and designed for prayer worship. BUT somehow its gone all wrong now a lot have making money 💰 out of jesus christ a Reglion of making money 💰 not teaching his Good news the holy bible which is free .ONE thing the Mormons have is the Mormons choir and one of the best 👌 👍

Ihate Reglion because of all the Evil 😈 in it .Pedofiles running churches. And mega churches ⛪️ trying to rewrite the bible. Saying sin is ok and no Saying no worries. And not teaching Gods True scriptures as it is written. They don't seem to be working for God in heaven there own views not Gods .And jesus christ picked his own disciplines. AND didn't pick any in charge of churches including the pope or would. HE would only pick dedicated preachers for his Glory and teach his scriptures of the bible. GOD is in charge not them .And Gods wrath is against all the churches ⛪️ and judgement is here .Best to repent because if they actually read 📚 as it is written in the bible they are in it and how it all Ends .And not good unless they repent the world needs to Fear God .ido .He is a just God and needs to be .He doesn't want anyone to perish. BUT bad fruits like the fig tree not bearing fruit .Was destroyed and God burns 🔥 bad fruits. NO use to anyone. SEEK forgiveness mercy salvation grace 👑 ❤

Hellfire?! Scriptural answer to Pawson’s “Part 5” containing his supposed Scriptural basis for ‘hellfire’. 1. JWs do believe in ‘hell’ (the Anglo-Saxon word) as far as it translates very poorly some Hebrew and Greek words. It simply means the grave. Job asked to go there (Job 14:13). Ezekiel 18:4 says that the wicked will ‘die’ (go to grave) not be tricked into eternal torture. Psalm 6:5, Eccl 9:10 and Isa 38:18,19 speak of the grave as a place of inactivity. Adam was told that rebellion would return him “to the dust”, not eternal torture or fire. Jesus was raised from hell (Acts 2:27, 31, 32 and Psalm 16:10 prophetically). People are not conscious in the grave (Mt 25:41,46 13:30 Hebrews 10:26,27 Rev 20: 10,14,15). 2. Pawson agress that ‘hellfire’ cannot be supported by the OT (4000 years) nor the writings of Paul. Maybe God tricked and conned those millions of people living before Christ into thinking they would just ‘die’, go to ‘dust’ but actually He would drop them into eternal agony and suffering with no reprieve or respite? This is arguably the most blasphemous accusation anyone could make of God who is described consistently as a God of love, mercy and justice! Its so preposterous, no wonder hardly anyone now believes such a wicked thing. 3. Pawson is blatantly lying too about William Whiston. Far from WW teaching hellfire, he published his view that the idea was “absurd, cruel, and an insult to God”. 4. Similar, John Wesley was not an ardent believer in hellfire; he wrestled with differing views on it. Modern Methodists such as Rob Bell (“Love Wins”) do not follow the ‘traditional’ line. 5. If there is an ‘instinctive’ belief in torture, it must have come from pagan ideas, not normal human nature. Thats why there’s a ‘moral’ argument against it; it’s far from just or equitable’ let alone loving and merciful. 6. Words used in ‘dark ages’ Bibles are largely mistranslated and misunderstood to mean torture. ‘Tartarus’ is uniquely a place where demons are ‘restrained’ pending eventual destruction. ‘Gehenna’ and ‘Hinnom’ were places in Jesus day that were places of destruction and disposal, not torture. Dead bodies were thrown there. 7. Its no surprise that Roman Catholics teach hellfire. Fear and abject terror have almost always been their strategy, from the many Inquisitions in the Near East, Europe and the Baltics, to the burning alive of people. They thought they were doing Gods work. How many millions have they killed? Its literally countless, but in the millions. 8. The one verse that Pawson quotes from Jesus words in Matt 10:28 (“can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.” The critical word here is ‘soul’ (‘psuche’ in the Greek). A proper look at all of Scripture, and Greek lexicons too, highlights the meaning of this as ‘life’ or ‘self’ or sometimes ‘emotions’... these, as the verse says, can be DESTROYED by God eternally (Greek; ‘apollumi’ a strengthened form of ‘ollumi’ meaning ‘utterly destroy, perish’. Its a contrast with the previous phrase, showing that God can destroy all of a persons life prospects rather than just the body. 9. Other concepts in Scripture such as ‘lake of fire, ‘Abrahams bosom’ etc are all deeply symbolic. Even ‘hell’ is to be ‘thrown’ into the ‘lake of fire’! (Rev 20:13,14) 10. Pawsons ministry is totally destructive; there’s no ‘gospel’ (good news). Leave the positive, loving and constructive stuff to Jehovah’s Witnesses; their global witnessing is being blessed. Tens of thousands of new Kingdom Halls are being built, and millions getting baptised. They are totally united, loving, peaceful, and focussed on the Bible and true worship rather than any man-made creeds of hateful blasphemous teachings. As Pawson rightly says, there is in Christendom a “declining interest in saving” lives. 11. As Isaiah 66:1,2 predicts, in the last days God would be looking for a global people who are ‘contrite’ and ‘lovers of His Word’... humble enough to see where they were wrong, and put it right in a true revival and restoration... also to obey God in whatever work He instructs, which currently is the great commission of Matt 28:19,20 (Matt 24:14, Acts 1:8 Rev 14:6,7)

Yes Jehovahs give his son the power to resureect the dead, as he just resurected Lazerous. Humanity has one of two conditions, dead waiting for the resurection / kingdom hope. Or presently, dead, in the grave waiting Christ kingdom and the resurection under Jehivahs soverinity! John 5:28. 25 “Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live. 26 For just as the Father has life in himself,s so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself.t 27 And he has given him authority to do judging,u because he is the Son of man.v 28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voicew 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. x 30 I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative. AW COME ON ! ANY SCHOLOR WITH A 5TH GRADE EDUCATION KNOWES THE HISTORY OF HELL,! DEATH, IS THE ABSENCE OF LIFE. THATS EXACTLY WHAT JEHOVAH TOLD ADAM, IF , IF YOU EAT OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEGE OF GOOD AND EVIL, YOU SHALL CERTIANLY ,,,DIE,, ! IT WAS ONLY WHEN SATAN COUNTERDICTED THIS STATEMENT, CLAIMING GOD TO BE A LIER WHEN HER TOLD EVE, OH NO, THATS NOT SO, YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD KNIWING GOOD AND EVIL! THROUGH THIS LIE, REBELION, SIN DEATH CAME TO MANKIND, THE IMMORTAL SOUL, HELL, HELLFIRE, ARE JUST EXTENSIONS OF THAT ORIGINAL LIE. FACT! DEATH MEANS DEATH!! THE GRAVE ( SHEOL) MEANS GRAVE. HELL IS THE GREEK WORD ( PLACE OF THE DEAD) WAS USED AS SHEOL. THE GREEK /PAGAN /PHILOSOPHY. WAS ADOPTED INTO ROMAN CHISTANUTY AS WELL. THERE IS DEATH DUE TO ADAMS SIN , AND LIFE THROUGH JESUSS SACRIFICE AND RESUEECTION 12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned- 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. 15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! NO MENTION OF IMORTAL SOUL, OR AFTER LIFE. WE ARE NOT A CATIPILLIAR THAT CLIMBES A TREE, SPINS A CACOON AND FLYS AWAY A BUTTERFLY. WE DEPEND ON THE RESURECTION POWER OF JESUS INTO HIS KINGDOM.

I volunteer for a charity founded by members of a church I used to attend. The church funds a clinic in Uganda which supports our communities with their health needs as its main purpose. Over the last few weeks, I’ve felt God leading me to change priorities, because this charity isn’t serving a kingdom purpose in bringing people to Christ, even if its purpose is noble. This message helps bring this home for me, along with what I’ve read in the Bible from John 13 and 14.

@11:00 that's where you lost it, Daniel 8:14 says "the sanctuary shall be cleansed", this cleansing was done once a year, Leviticus 16, when the High priest entered the most holy place once a year, so did Jesus entered the most Holy to cleanse the sanctuary as after 2300days of Daniel. It's super clear.
