For £270 and battery £200 this is absolutely mega and will easily challenge big value emtb bikes. Used off road but next level and BIG smiles today because it’s significant in performance. MTB tsdz2 upgrade to Version B etc
มุมมอง 1175 หลายเดือนก่อน
TSDZ2 Tongsheng upgrade MTB e-bikes using 104pcd spider and rings especially 32 tooth for MTB. New version uses 5 spider and limited to large road going rings no go for MTB. I’ve a few other little mods that have made this unit far better, it’s not perfect but works with its torque sensing making riding and assistant natural feeling.

      Hi no software mods yet and straight out of the box power and torque. Kit has throttle and everything needed. For MTB the ring is dished and 44 tooth far too big, I’m making next a bespoke 36t dished as the new casing on this motor is beefy.

    The battery is a YOSE and again I have used either this brand mainly because of the quality shipment, product and battery charger being of very good quality. It’s 48v 13ah unit much lighter than the 15 and 20 amp H units all about choice, distance etc. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334200005390?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=hrd-rrx-q6-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=fUrVfZfrTXO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    I would punch another hole through your wall for the intake side of the heat exchanger... your method will create a pressure inside of your house and force warm air outside through the cracks in your house... one more hole my man, it will pump out way more heat and save you money at the same time.

    You really need to draw intake Air from inside the house, creating a closed system or you will get bug's and all sort of creatures in the house,also exhaust fumes can potentially enter, heating more efficient as it is not heating cold air . carbon monoxide detector is a must have

  • @Deiphobuzz
    @Deiphobuzz 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You should really route both pipes inside so you dont have to heat the cold air before blowing it inside. Much more efficient that way.

    • @inventorant
      @inventorant 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes phase one was wrong external air is not the right way. I did sort this fairly quickly and it's all from in the house and out and use a monoxide alarm right in front of the heat pipe also, ideally these should have this option espcially in vans etc. Amazing the heat loss from the exhaust

    • @inventorant
      @inventorant 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It has made a big difference in our bills, the ability to warm up when needed and also has helped damp control as I think the air input from the house and output back into it dries the air unlike some gas heaters etc. The unit has been really reliable too, the only thing I wish I had not done is cut a hole at the top of the enclosure for fuel as it leaked water with these bad storms but sealent later has solved this. For the bang for buck this heater and solution is terrific.

    I'll be interested in what you do for the chainring on the TSDZ2B. I'm doing a conversion right now on my Nukeproof Scout 27.5 and want to get a 32 or 34 on the front instead of the 42 that came with the TSDZ2B. My bike stock had a 32. The chainring is a bit different than the TSDZ2 so not as many options for chainrings. Pswpower makes a good adaptor for the B, but they are sold out. I've ordered one from a Walmart seller (China) that looks like the new one. We'll see. And a 34 from Deckas. Nice bike!

      Hi, I run a heavy 17.5ampH pack by Yosa but also have a 15 and 10 being the lightest. I have a quality backpack though so it's padded and been using them in the backpack since 2004 as I designed my own ebike system for bikes called Ibex Power Biking. THis TSDZ2 though is miles better being torque sensed and powerful too.

      @@inventorant I'll have to give that a go once my bike is up and running and on the hills 🙂 I've been learning about the pros and cons of these motors.. the open source firmware for better responsiveness, and the overheating and spindle breakages If it does break I will probably check out the new toseven dm02 (tsdz2 replacement) or dm01 (bbshd with torque sensing) once they are a bit more available

    • @inventorant
      @inventorant ปีที่แล้ว

      I've converted about 15 bikes now. I have had issues but sorted them only sensor issues or the one way bearing in the box that now is defunked by the new TSDZ2B. I've 29er and 26er and at 6.1 and fat the motor systems are awesome. Been riding MTB 30yrs and love the feel of the assistance best I think going. I have not shaft snaps and given both motors I have some proper hammering.

    Make it also suck in inside air or it'll pull cold outside air and push your warm inside air out. Also there's a lot of heat in the exhaust gas. Best tip is to install a radiator and route the hot exhaust gas through it and install a co monitor. Thereby you get more than 90% efficiency

    The power supply is not for outdoor use, at least IP 44 is required especially for condensation, and making such powerful interventions on the house is easier if you have a window that you can cover with sheet metal to make holes in.

    • @inventorant
      @inventorant ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, so far in the IP66 box that is very well protected against the elements the power unit has not caused any issues and is earthed etc. It needs a 12v backup battery in the event of powerloss and any chnace the heater could overheat without a cool down cycle something I am working on. It is no miracle solution by any standards but when working does provide some benefit in our small terrace house.

  • @biggstavros5876
    @biggstavros5876 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice job but better to run it off a 12v battery because it will overheat in a power cut because there will be no cooling down phase.

    • @inventorant
      @inventorant ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree this does need a backup to allow it to down cycle. WOrking on a solution. A few friends have had issues when the van battery for example has depleated and not allowed it to cool down, not bad reports but a little weakness the way these work.
