My Forklift Is Fixed! But EVERYTHING Leaks! (Part 3)
It took a lot to get to this point but, the $400 1993 Toyota 5FGCU15 forklift is finally running. It has developed some interesting leaks and sounds that I'm going to have to take care of. In this video, I tackle these issues and attempt to get the lift back to a working condition!

Boat Sides For the Chinese Side-By-Side!

I haven't had this 2015 Oreion Reeper too long and I've already destroyed the rocker panels. So I'm cutting them out and installing some boat sides in this thing. It's not a major difference but, it should make all the difference when it comes to hitting the rocks! The Body Has Been Pulled Off the Reeper! What Should I Do Next?

Took the time this weekend to work on a project I've been putting off for a long time. I was finally able to get some new lights up in the garage! I also pull the body off the 2015 Oreion Reeper and start digging into the frame to see just how fragile it is. I need your help! What direction should I go with this thing? It Has To Be Done... I'm Pulling the Body Off the Oreion Reeper
มุมมอง 1.3K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
There were a few things that led up to me pulling the body off the 2015 Oreion Reeper (Terry). The first thing was we need to replace the fuel cell. This should give us plenty of room. The next reason is that the roll cage on this thing is a joke. I don't want to do any serious riding until I get this addressed. The last reason he body is coming off is to strengthen the frame. It already has a ...

Lol you made my day.
If you just cleaned with a hose (~30psi) does it remove the FF or just the dirt?
On ur first date! Man ur easy!😂😂
How well does the surface protect do in a car wash??
If you live in hot climate +35 C. Forget about oil/lanolin coatings. Sprayed our GM truck and completely dripped off the next day afternoon. The chassis was left looking like runny mascara! And the fluid film instructions dont even mention a maximum ambient temperature to use it in before it gets too runny. Absolute waste of two gallons. I personally emailed Fluid Film with no reply on this issue to date.

Well done mate, thanks for doing this
Those a couple relays you added?
Clearly the blaster is better if it's harder to wash off with the Brake cleaner
Excellent explanation ! I have the same exact compressor and problem. Will be chafing thr check valve soon. Thanks a lot.
Those aren't even proper jack points...

You could try a big G-clamp or a vice (vise in US), not tried it yet, the tyre will be destroyed possibly. Perhaps in conjunction with a metal plate or wooden board at the underside of the tyre, holding the other side of the tyre down by standing on it
What about CorrosionX? Id like to know how well CorrosionX XD holds up compared to the Fluid of the Film. We all want to know.
Listen man you have inspired me to redo my Toyota fork lift. I think it needs a new motor and some electrical work. I am wondering how hard that part was for you... Also dude, use proper cloths and shoes you don't want to end up being killed! Great job!!!
All good ideas But good luck with tire size 40 and 35
I would've put a control plate
They should just team up.. Fluid Blaster 🤔
This guy should work for fluid film
does it stay wet? and will mechanics work on parts that are still wet?
I'm in New England and I bought a Seal Skin for my old Porsche. Garbage. The first leaked. The car was completely wet underneath. So, I reported it to them and for $35 they'd send me another. I did. It stayed waterproof for about two weeks. I have to put a tarp underneath now. The Seal Skin is a little better looking than a tarp so I double them up. Don't fall for the paid endorsers or the hype. They suck.
This is excellent man! Thanks from Germany!!! I am searching for something like this for my old GDR motors and my cars.
Fluid Film for the win.
I hate to say, Fluid Film spray cans also clots up too. But shake it every next shot, and more often helps to prevent frequent clots. Not perfect, but helps.
Why use a degreaser when you are just going to spray on a grease? I can understand removing any heavy mud and dirt, but degreasing before applying a grease everywhere seems contradictory.
This is very timely thanks. Can you get Fluid Film inside the panels or is it limited to visible panels only? Like inside doors, trunks, hoods etc
Great video! Does anyone know if SS has fixed their spray can problems yet? This video is the first I've seen that mention an issue? and I've watched many.
I just ordered 6 cans through Amazon about a month ago and they worked fine for me. I had them set up about 15 feet in front of my space heater before use to warm them up though. I seen some people saying they set the cans in hot water before getting ready to use also.
I discovered Fluid Film a couple years ago before I saw all these videos showing these characteristics. Used it on my trailer. Some galvanized hardware was not fully coated and would rust. I noticed if I sprayed it with Fluid Film, it would arrest the rust and protect it for the winter. You need to reapply however. Makes sense….
Great work dude. You cleaned that thing up in every single spot.
Seriously consider wearing gloves to avoid exposure to all the chemicals while you are young. You have one body. Protect your health by lowering your toxic load.
I c a piece of 💩 ford
yup, i have bought 3 cans of blaster, and all three cans were defective. the product shot out of the bottom of the push cap, and went everywhere but where i was aiming. fluid film on the other hand, ive used at least ten cans, and never had an issue!
I just did this job. Took my truck underneath the bridge parking lot and worked off the chips and went to town with a few cans of surface shield. Not a job you want to do in your driveway 😂
It’s simple. Surface shieid and Woolwax is thicker than fluid film. Thus, fluid film can wash off from rain and puddles easier. It’s that simple. I like Woolwax.
Just go with k&n for easy removal
Cover your jeep with a massive tarp so that you don't constantly have to clean the paint on your entire jeep every time you spray it with the fluid film
Decent demonstration, but this is soo cheesy! 😂
Great straight forward video. I've been wondering if anyone would just mount their test pieces directly to their cars for a perfect real world test & this is exactly what I wanted to see. After doing some research, both products work the best IMO, I think aside from the price, the only other factor I can see is that FF is more likely to wash off compared to SS when it comes to high pressure water/consistant driving in rain. I heard the reviews about SS cans clogging up as well but I've also seen posts about PB Blaster fixing this issue recently.. I'm going to take my chance with SS cans because I got no spray gun/compressor 😅 My rear rocker panels/pinch welds are done for but I'm going to try and protect what's left rather than just letting everything else rust out.
The only lubricant to be used on a firetruck. Period.
On a quiet night, you can hear your Toyota rust. I've never heard a thing. My 1985 Toyota is still rust free. Fluid film rocks.
Dang having trouble getting mine to pair 😑
Here in upstate NY I find that Fluid Film washes off the underside of the body and all of the suspension parts in a few months of winter driving. FF is fantastic on interior panels like doors and fenders above the wheel well liners. It also is great on box sections in the chassis. Surface Shield really holds up on the under body. The combination of the two work great together.
I definitely appreciate what this product does but at the end of the day is your truck gonna last any longer?
I'll make some additions to this excellent tutorial: My filter was a little large for the one recommended in the video. Oil filter pliers are better suited for deviations in diameter. Also, the plastic on the understide was like something deviously designed to make working on the vehicle underside difficult. I could loosing the plastic sufficiently to allow reaching in only after I loosed about a half dozen 8 mm bolt. I invested in my first powertool on this one because there was no way I could generate the torque I'd need to screw off the oil tank plug on the underneath a vehicle with a 3/8 wrench
Thank you for this video. My drain plug won't come out for me. I already sprayed it with PB Blaster but still no luck. Any ideas, tips or tricks to get that one loose?
Make sure your using the correct tool it should be a 10 mm hex with a 3/8” drive preferably. Place a small pipe on it and turn. Make sure the hex is fully inserted and you can tap it with a mallet to make sure. If it strips out you will need to use an extractor of good quality. You may be able to get a large one in without drilling but if that doesn’t work you would have to drill it and then use an extractor. If it’s completely damaged the threads of the case you would have to replace the cover in a severe case which I’ve never come across. I don’t know what it would involve. The extractor you need are called internal extractors. Get a kit and good luck.
PB fixed the can problem but still better using good woolwax gun and gallons of either...shield sprayed better at around 50 psi..needed about 70 for fluid film....cant go wrong with either.
what size bolts kept the pump on? I bought a new pump and used engine and it doesn't have fhe bolts to mount it
Great video and test
Good old motor oil is better than that. Im doing my truck tomorrow then ill send pics. I'll take it down a dusty road and the dirt sticks to it another barrier against cancer causing calcium cloride!!!
