In 1907, this mansion was completely renovated to turn it into the palace that it is today. The former décor w...

Marie-Antoinette danced her shoes on a ball in the Schaezlerpalais ... says the legend. However, the fact is that on the way to her wedding - still as Austrian Princess Maria Antonia - she visited the palace and inaugurated the Rococo hall there as part of a large ball. This hall is undoubtedly the showpiece of the 1765 to 1770, designed by the Munich court architect Carl Albert v. Lespilliez, ...
Residenz Kempten, The Throne room

This is without a doubt the most beautiful room in the Kempten palace. Twice the height of the others and rectangular in shape with five windows, it is distinguished by its subtle, well-balanced architectural design. The name of the architect it can scarcely have been Franz Georg Hermann - is not known, but the room bears some of the hall-marks of Dominikus Zimmermann. The four windows face fou...

Est-ce que vous n’allez pas sortir de cette pièce? Un château est bien plus que ça, non?
I noticed only now, that your moulure decorative are made of an elastic material.... not wood paste or resine... they come from USA ? ...very difficult to obtain...
The material is compo by www.jpweaver.com from California
yes....is it elastic or rigid at normal temperature ?
massiLGB It’s heat sensitive and can become soft if you steam it. Also when it’s freshly made it releases a natural adhesive
Thank you for your answer. To avoid oxidation you can finish your piece wit a trasparent varnish.
massiLGB i did finish it with varnish but i suspect that the water ingredient in the size made it oxidized from underneath
what kind of gild size do you use ? oil, water, spirit ? without a base of gesso ? thank you regards
massiLGB I didn’t use gesso because the ornament is made of Compo (composition) and i don’t think it’s necessary with that material. as for the size i used a mixture of alcohol and water which turned out to be not so good since i used an imitation gold leaf which dioxides when in contact with water. Now i only use oil based size
Impeccable, beautiful and extraordinary. An interior par excellence.
The architectural element is by www.jpweaver.com
