I have 2014 CX5 and it has shudder at low speed. I drained and refilled three times using OEM FZ fluid and then added one bottle of lubegard red. The transmission has more noisy after adding lubegard red but a bit smoother. Now can I add one bottle of lubegard platinium to get better result after sucking out 10oz of atf? Thanks

Hi - my 2014 Corvette with the 6 speed (6L80) A/T with 92500 miles started to shudder at 30 mph (going into 4th gear). The orig fluid was changed 5 yrs ago at 60K. Yesterday (7/01/2024) I added the 2 oz tube of Lubegard, drove 300 miles and the shudder is still there. Any suggestions? PS note that this is not the 2015+ 8 speed A/T that has been known for having the shudder. Thanks!

You could spend $10/qt on OEM or you could give $4/qt for Dex/Merc and add one ounce Lubegard platinum or red bottle or green bottle or whatever is applicable to your transmission and.. it'll shift the same or better. The difference is in the transmission fluid bases. If you think you're going to own your vehicle 12 years from now it's probably a good investment to just go ahead and buy a synthetic base ATF and then add this or not.. depending. But for a couple years, maybe even 4 years the cheaper base plus this (or applicable Lubegard or similar product) is just as good. The Lubegard has a high concentration of antioxidants, foam suppressors, F/M's, etc that could renew your fluid or make the base fluid you choose work better. Or you can be afraid of everything and just do whatever oem says to do even though they're not going to stand behind their advice. I'm just looking at cents per mile for the overall picture rather than what it costs today and I may not ever actually see any savings long-term. I'm not afraid of trying something but those payments people are willing to make into their 70s scare me to death.

Probably should update the fluid to the Blue label Mobil HP ATF or Amsoil Blue ATF then add this. The factory fluid in the 8L90 is hydroscopic
