Fine dining? French bistros???
1700 for a 2bed SIGN ME UP
It’s nice but it’s kind of soulless. Upscale and commercially prosperous. Business oriented. Sidewalks roll up at 6 p.m. 😮
I grew up there, moved from there 60 years ago. There’s hardly anything I recognize there now. Totally changed.
40% of my diet is Fruits....so how about fruits and veggies in $$? 😊
Are you being paid to make sure your thumbnails make Indiana look bad? Trying to drive down any state growth?
The goal with the Thumbnail is to peak people’s interest and get them to click on the video. Unfortunately, negativity sells. If my thumbnails drive down state growth, we’ve got bigger issues.
There is only a little bit of traffic for an hour on some streets. Much less than any "city". The roundabouts are great, you never have to stop at a light, and only have to slow down occasionally. The only con is that it is conservative and religious, so if you aren't a churchgoing Christian, it is hard to find friends, as most people's social lives seem oriented around their churches, of which there are many...this is where Mike Pence lives!
Why such negative thumbnails? Almost every time.
I want to move to indianopolis from California rent to dam high and nobody does nothing about it they don't find any real solutions just clean up homeless camps but why they don't tackle the root cause of inflation cost of living but of course they are pocketing more money that's all they seem to care about
Thanks for watching. Yeah, I’ve heard how expensive California is and all the issues. Let us know how we can help you by scheduling a Zoom call if you’d like: calendly.com/discoveringcentralindiana
Carmel's pretty pretentious. Overly planned. A lot of uniformity. It feels stiff and un-natural.
Thanks for watching. I get what you’re saying. Carmel definitely doesn't appeal to everyone.
Indy sucks, but Carmel/Fishers/Noblesville is nice.
Hi, I own some racehorses, will race at casino horseshoe. I also plan to buy a club around Pendelton Pike, I need help finding a safe home with live security or a garage, my Benz broke in twice. I like to spend around $1,200 one bedroom in the middle of these areas. Thank you much,

Do you would risk a sale because you think Lebanon is not a good place to live?? The home of Rick Mount, but you are too young to know who he was, probably!
I think Lebanon is a fine place to live. It’s just a quiet place with not a lot to do.
I don't understand American's irrational fear of roundabouts. They are literally designed to keep traffic flowing and are way safer than 4 way stops. This isn't rocket science. It shouldn't be a con just because some people don't know how to use them.
Love Carmel and roundabouts!
Too bad it's so close to Indianapolis.
Waste of my time, let's see real pictures and lots of them
My wife and I just came back from visiting there, we left very impressed. We drove and walked around quite a bit, checked out the main downtown, West Clay, went to Meijer (for some light shopping but also mainly to see what the locals were like), walked a bit of the Monon trail, and drove around some of the various residential areas. Impressions: great roads, those turnabouts are awesome, nicely landscaped everywhere, lots of green space, no trash (double meaning) in sight, and lots of fit people taking advantage of all the walking/bike paths. We're from the Chicago area, there's lots of nice burbs around here too (and we live in one of them), but I will say that Carmel definitely deserves the national praise, they got the suburban living right!
Thanks for watching. I’m glad you and your wife enjoyed visiting Carmel. It’s one of my favorite places here in Indiana.
@@GPinAtlantaIN Define "middle class". Per Zillow, there are currently 35 <$400k detached single-family home listings in Carmel. That's absolutely middle-class pricing, per Chicago suburban standards at least.
@@GPinAtlantaIN "to me"? Go look up median home sale price in the US as of 2024.
@@GPinAtlantaIN Well hey, I'm not looking to discuss a perfect stranger's finances, but since you're volunteering...the term "middle class" is a wide net, $40k-130, with national average being around $64k. Per what you're describing, you're at around $45k (assuming a 40 hr work week, paid 3x federal min wage). So yeh, with that, swinging a $400k home mortgage would be tough. No disrespect intended, just chatting here.

Who paid you? 😂 DONT MOVE HERE! This place has no scenery, high crime and sick people. Our hi crime here is crazy high especially if you look at our population compared to gun crime. Yes we do have a zoo and it’s all of Indianapolis lol😂 these people are wild animals with no care for life. The Indy 500 he is talking about is only an event that comes once a year and is very expensive to attend. We don’t have a MALL. Our downtown mall is no longer a mall. We have greenwood mall which is where that shooter walked in and killed a bunch of people.
WOW. You must hale from Kentucky 😂😂😂(just kidding). Update! He never mentioned a mall except the Fashion Mall, NASCAR has been racing along with formula one for quite a while. The architecture is famous. People flock to Indiana in the fall just to see leaves turn, good luck finding a room in the fall. You need only to just get out of the county (or outside 465 loop) to find beautiful homes and open spaces. The average price of homes is nearly half of the rest of the country. Crime is crime. It’s everywhere, always has been. Most crime here comes from East Chicago. Sounds like you need to move.
You fogot to state how well the EMS folks work with and for the community. The Fire, Police and City are great people to work and feel safe while traveling in and around the not so little town.
Our First Responders are great People!
You should do a video on living in Lawrence and what it is like living with all of the bank robberies.
Thx! Planning to move to northern suburbs
Thanks for watching. The northern suburbs are really popular!
There are a lot of ghetto areas in Indianapolis if you're willing to live in one of those neighborhoods you can live quite nicely on $2,000 a month . If you don't mind crime and homeless people and you know lack of shopping opportunities you can live in Indianapolis you know and get a three-bedroom half double or duplex for around $900 a month .
Indiana is a good place to live. I was born and raised here I love it. But I also live in a small town!❤
That’s cool. Small town living can be great. What’s your favorite part of small town living?
@@DiscoveringCentralIndiana My favorite part is everyone helps each other and low crime. Kids can play outside without worrying.
Its also 85% white
yeah I prefer fishers carmel too upscale for me fishers is almost just as nice but seems more welcoming to black folks
That's who made it so nice.
Any nationality is completely free to purchase a home or business in Carmel. Welcome to Indiana.
Eh, i prefer to use country of ancestry rather than grouping people into black or white boxes. They’re mostly german.

Having been born, and living most of my life in Indianapolis, it is far too damn expensive to live here. I'm looking to get out.
I am an Austrian and since many years I have been living in way over populated way too overrated Commifornia where its far too damn expensive also plus way way too hot all the time with too many fires, homeless everywhere.... I can't wait to get out to a cooler, greener and more affordable state that does not tax you too death and lets you keep your guns...I am kind of interested in idaho, Montana, Indiana or Michigan.... So if you don't mind me asking where are you moving to?
If you think Indiana is expensive your in for a rude awakening! Unless you want to live in a crappy state like Mississippi it isn’t get any cheaper than Indiana or any Midwest state.
I would take Indianapolis over Chicago. Have lived in both cities for the last 48 years of my life.
Thanks for watching. I agree, Indianapolis is a great place to live!
Two terrible choices lol
I have lived there for the past 48 years. I am looking to move to Cartagena, Colombia.
@@ethancook5705 But how reliable are the bus schedules in Cartagena?
I just used Uber and taxis last time I was there. Ace has a couple videos on public transportation down there.
Stay away from Carmel yuk, unless you like traffic.
Yeah, there can be a lot of traffic in Carmel at times.
This is great, i only still miss the litle supermarkets, so that people dont have to leave town to do their grocery's, The mayor did a very good job, but he have to made room for little grocery shops. It's nice to see people and kids enjoy their freedom. greetings from the Netherlands.
Thanks for watching from the Netherlands. I’m glad you like the video!
@@DiscoveringCentralIndiana I did, but i still miss supermarkets like in my country. So you can buy your grosseries in town with the bicycle. Good Luck
@@helenooft9664 That thought struck me while we were walking the Monon trail, it would be cool if they had a small grocery store right off the trail. But then looking at google maps, Kroger is a 2 minute bike ride off the trail.
I find your con on roundabouts to be narrow minded! It is to my mind its best feature! Roundabouts instigate a free flowing traffic system without being backed up by traffic lights! The reduction of emmissions from vehicles is another pro feature of roundabouts. This is due to the removal of traffic lights. The emission rate is higher when vehicles are queued up waiting at traffic lights! However the cost of traffic light maintenance has almost disappeared due to the lack of them and there is no need to buy any! Ever since the arrival of the roundabouts businesses have thrived! If I was you I would revisit that notion about roundabouts and maybe a word with the Mayor etc 😊 P.S. I like what they have done with the city and yes there is a European feel about it which I like and would be comfortable there!! 😏
Thanks for watching. I agree with what you're saying. I personally like roundabouts. The only downside is getting cut off. I say it’s a con cause many people don't know how they work or how to drive in them.
if the traffic is under 30 mph and light, roundabout is better causes less congestion. When traffic is heavy and traffic is above 35 mph, there be huge frustration for half drivers since there will be a long waiting time to get into the round.
I agree. Roundabouts are safer and better than 4 way stops. A roundabout shouldn't be a con just because some people don't know how to use them.
Eric, don't forget that there are many nice people that live in Centennial- also, I heard you huffing to get to the top of the sledding hill- is there a good gym nearby where someone can get really fit?
Centennial is a great neighborhood with lots of nice people who would make wonderful neighbors. There’s a 24/7 gym about a mile from Centennial called Snap Fitness. They have a great personal trainer. His name is Doug Biggs! He has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology and can create an excellent workout plan tailored to people's needs and goals.

Clearly, being young, you may not have lived in a variety of places. We (Indianapolis) are in good shape compared to other like sized cities, especially from the traffic perspective. A helpful hint, should you hope to get more than 1 comment a day; stick to the positives. Leave it to the drug companies to explain the downside/side effects of their product (diarrhea, nausea, a stroke, etc.), but your objective, I would guess, is to sell your product and your product is central Indiana. Another thought, like wondering why Indianapolis may have higher crime, the phrase "your guess is as good as mine" can be remedied by a little research. Your intuition was right, btw, as the Crossroads of America, we are the Interstate laden gateway to many cities. If the cargo is illegal and others want it, chances are, it's passing through this city...and we know what that produces...more crime.
Thanks for watching and for your feedback!
I am older have lived in LA, Chicago, NY and SF. Indy has zero culture, cannot attract any decent musical acts (rarely), has zero food scene and diversity. There’s a decent college town to the south, honestly the only place worth visiting. My opinion.
@@ladesigner8764 Then I'll chalk this up to early onset cynicism and perpetual naivety. Begs the question, why no longer in the larger cities? You are in Indianapolis by choice, correct?
@@ladesigner8764 Yea we don't really like Democrats like you.
@@ladesigner8764you evidently don’t get out much. Indy attracts all the music has to offer and yes the big acts come here. PS: Indy also just made top ten in USA for restaurants.
