Do you have concerns for safety eyes? I have been trying to stay away from them as I enjoy making the snugglers and baby things I know they are a choking hazard for kids below the age of 3. I do have a safety notice card that I put on my projects.

What percentage commission does the store charge that you have your products in?

I do a market where they had some random $10 vouchers out to stall holders to hide somewhere in their booth and the idea is if a customer finds it they get $10 off a purchase. But I found that people want to mill around picking things up acting like they are interested in buying when all they are actually doing is looking under stuff for the voucher and I find it very annoying. I'm a tolerant person and not much annoys me but if a child went under my table I would tell them to get out of there immediately, it's a private space and not tolerated in any business (it's your storage space)

Sadly ive had some kids about 6-7yrs steal from me but i didnt realize it till i got home and my inventory didnt match my sales ...of a certain item and thats was the item they kept coming in and out of my booth to pick up and play with....and their parents were vendors at the same market....seems like they would look for me.....but after that i had to tell them look but dont touch....and as a suggest for clean hands if no one has said it already i keep a pack of baby wipes...because i know kids like to touch and i let them know its ok so long as their hands are clean and that if they need to clean their hands i have a wipe for them, and i keep a small dollar tree trash can with a walmart bag inside for used wipes....it works😊

I wish you had a friend who could go sit with you and watch!

I’m sorry this market didn’t go as planned … but thanks for sharing so we can see the good along with the bad shows. I know exactly what you mean about how stressful it is to watch kids wreak havoc on your booth. I had so many people come up and squeeze my loaf cat this past weekend and I had to keep fixing it when they left. And I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling to record while people are around.

Hi Allyssa, Your display at the boutique looked so awesome. 😊 I’m sorry this market was a disappointment. And that someone stole something! I watched Made by Manda Mal’s video were she had some items stolen. It’s sad that people/kids think it’s ok to do that. 😢 I think you are completely justified in saying 15:37 something to the grabby kids. If parents don’t control their kids, I wouldn’t feel bad shooing them off. And to those people blocking your booth, I would kindly ask them to move over so others can see your table. 😊 I’m glad you posted your video review, tho. I don’t currently sell plushies, but I’m considering it, so I like to see a variety of experiences. Thank you for sharing your market, I hope the next one more than makes up for this one. ❤🤞❤🤞

Love your work..I have the exact same fox snuggler and he gets all the attention too but mine has not sold either. My velvet wristlets did not sell well either. ❤

Your stuff is so adorable❤ I have a question about how you hang your snugglers... I see you have them hanging by a ring? How do you attatch/detatch and what do you use? I'm also trying to figure out how to hang some of my jellyfish but I'm concerned about what to use so not to damage the stitches. Especially on more delicate yarn🫤 Thank you for sharing with us!!

I usually put things with white or light colors higher .l use grid walls and baskets for my markets

What chubby flamingo do you use.

I think you should put any crochet items that have a lot of white on them in a clear bag. If a person wants to buy it they can see it and if they ask you why nicely mention that you want to keep it clean. Congrat on your craft show and your items are really adorable.

I suggest raising the height of your snuggler stand. I have a folding two foot table from Amazon that would work. The snugglers are adorable and your display makes them really appealing, especially to littles. Also, if you sit or stand nearby with wet wipes you can also just sweetly say “here honey wipe your hands real quick, before you touch if mom says it’s ok”. You could donate the plushie to a woman’s shelter or the police station for a child that had to be taken from their home or was lost. Finally, for the pop ups try a sign with two photos showing how to pop up the toy (Folks don’t read much). Love your work and videos!

I totally feel your pain. I sell bath bombs which kids think they can pick up over and over and just throw them down when they are done. I spend about 20 minutes painting each one (not including the time to make them and wrap/label them). They don't realize these things aren't plastic, they are made of baking soda and other powders and they chip easily. Thinking of putting up a sign to be gentle with them and only allow children to touch them if a parent is present. I did see one crocheter who put out hand sanitizer and has a sign to use before handling any items. Don't know if that's something you want to consider. Either way, I know how it just makes you cringe when something gets damaged :(

I'm so sorry about the dirty snuggles! and congrats on a successful show!! I LOVE your set up BTW! Is your smuggler stand custom? Love it! anyhoo, for the first time, I am planning on making a sign that says "Please don't touch if your hands are dirty". I'm going to a festival in our town where I know for a fact that kids run-a-muck while eating cotton candy, caramel apples, chips lol They are running around mostly with no adults with them (a very small town). I probably know 90% of these kids. I know their MO lol so I am gonna aput up that sign even though it goes against my grain.

I would keep a box of baby wipes or something like that at your booth so that kids can wipe their hands before touching your stuff. Just a suggestion
